WIFLI Briefing for Aug 15, 2012 - Who’s in the White House?

You may be wondering why my effort to keep this blog fluid has dwindled down to a trickle, to the point where I only added one post in July, and only this one so far in August.  I want to address that issue before I get to the subject of this WIFLI Briefing of extraordinary importance.

Call it a sabbatical.
I've been working on several projects that has been keeping me busy.  I've started a new Facebook page, called johnny2k's America, that is doing very well.  Part of the content of the page is from videos that I have uploaded to the page, which tends to take a lot of time.  The other project that I have taken on is that I'm very active on my friend's group, Politics and Other Daily Bull.  Yes, there are some very rewarding benefits to being active on the social networks like Facebook.  The viral affect always seems to be exponential.  The more we do for others seems to always come back to increase the results of our own efforts.  Yes, that is the way it works.  It didn't take a government agency or project to teach me that principle of success.  So, Mr. President, that is where you are wrong.

There has been no doubt in my mind that building social networks is crucial when it comes to developing the credibility to attract more viewers. With limited time on my hands, I've found that it is a good thing to have Twitter and Facebook accounts that are active. Most of my efforts lately were directed toward the potential that I have found with Facebook and Twitter activity.

I really felt the need to explain my recent absence on this blog. The last thing that I want anyone to think is that I've decided to call it quits. No way! I've only just begun! Because of my understanding of the social networks, I'm discovering the true magic of multiplying our time by finding like-minded friends, and finding out that they virally proliferate the message that we are "collectively" trying to spread!

By now, I'm pretty sure you want to know what this edition is all about. Hopefully, you haven't lost your interest quite yet... Oh, good. You're still here... Because, folks, there is that question that we must keep right on top of our agenda that we talk about everyday: "Who's in the White House?"

The truth is, I had most of the content for this column picked out and ready to post several weeks ago. But something held me back. I wasn't sure that it would be wise to bring up the "Is Obama Constitutionally eligible to be President" question at this time. It almost sounded like a desperate attempt to salvage what may have seemed like the presumptive GOP nominee, Mitt Romney, wasn't able to win without something that would make Barack Obama look bad.

No matter what comes out about Obama and eligibility between now and election time, it will have very little influence on the final results. You have seen how the "birthers" have been disparaged in the media. Their (the "birthers") objectives to protect the Constitution seems to have been ignored and berated. I really didn't want to fall into the trap, their trap, to make the bloggers that mention the eligibility questions and looking like a conspiracy theorist somewhere out on the extreme right-wing fringe. And of course, from there, the rhetoric would devolve into the "birthers" being labeled as racists because we brought up something bad about the first Black President.

Mitt's choice for VP:
REP. PAUL RYAN (R-WI)
But, now?  It has all changed! Something happened this last weekend that told the Conservative base of the Republican Party that Mitt Romney was not just another milquetoast GOP establishment candidate. Mitt wants to win!  He really is serious about wanting to win!  Mitt Romney made a courageous choice for who his Vice President will be. And Mitt Romney has now defined the difference between the two parties and their candidates.

It did not take long for Conservatives to realize the bold choice that Romney made in picking Paul Ryan. I was sensing the gigantic, giga-watt spark it seemed to provide those of us that were feeling very little optimism about a GOP win so we could fire the Obamaniac.

Yes, it has all changed over the weekend. And I could sense the major panic among the Leftist supporters of the Obama regime. The Democrat/Obama minions, his operatives, like Debbie Wassername Schultz, came out of the woodwork to say that they were happy about the Paul Ryan pick for the VP side of the GOP ticket. They were saying that it shows how extreme the GOP ticket will be. That's truly a sign of their desperation at this moment.

And then it hit me. As bad as it is getting already, with the Democrat sliming machine running at full throttle now, how bad could it get if it is close to election time, and the Romney/Ryan GOP team has a chance to win? Is it possible that Obama would be so desperate to remain in power that he would do something very sinister, such as to create a crisis so that there is an excuse to postpone the election? What would happen if the Constitution of the United States was thrown under the bus in order for Obama to remain in power?

To what length would Barack go to stay in power?

And in this edition of the WIFLI Briefing, we must ask ourselves to what length that We the People should go in order to stay free?  I'm just sayin'...

Welcome to this edition of Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing!

What is WIFLI?
You may be wondering what the acronym "WIFLI" means. I started out by calling these issues the Time 2 Escape Daily, but that didn't work out very well. I quickly learned that putting these issues together on a daily basis was a task I was unable to accomplish. To replace "Daily" in the title, I borrowed the acronym WIFLI, which literally means "When I Feel Like It." Putting together a post on this blog WIFLI works much better for my schedule, and for the higher quality of each issue that is eventually published!

The lead story that you will see below may not have seemed plausible before, which was most of the reason I held up posting this WIFLI edition. However, it now makes sense to ask who is in the White House. It may be time to ask ourselves who Obama will ultimately give his allegiance to: We the People? I think not!

I had to include this story, as I have had questions about what the President would do if it looked like he was going to lose, long before Doug Hagmann's column was written back in July.   And being that it is looking more and more like Israel will end up in a military conflict with Iran and her allies, a crisis beyond our comprehension that could commence at any time, and very possibly before November 6.

Soetoro’s 2012 election contingency
From Canada Free Press ~ By Doug Hagmann ~ Published Jul 22, 2012
DOUG HAGMANN
Who’s in the White House?

My source looked at me and posed a question I did not expect: "Do you know who is in the White House?” I was uncertain if he meant who was present there now, or if he was talking in a more general sense knowing that he has followed my research on Barry Soetoro (a/k/a Barack Hussein Obama II), so I asked him for clarification. I thought it was a fair request. With that, he became visibly agitated and had a look in his eyes I’ve never seen before. “You can’t answer that [expletive deleted] question. Trust me, few can, and those who can won’t, because they’re either part of the ‘royal round table’ or they’re gutless [expletive deleted].

Based on his agitated state, I was careful with what I said next. I told him that we’ve covered this matter very comprehensively, adding that Obama’s dog’s papers are more valid than Obama. I told him that he was correct in that we both know that we do not know Obama’s legal name or his actual parental lineage I began to verbally list the various inconsistencies with his identify, at which point he stopped me with a raise of his hand.

Enough,” he stated and apologized for his previous outburst. “We both know the guy is a an imposter, a ‘Manchurian Candidate,’ and he’s there to do a job, implement a very specific agenda. And he’s not planning to leave until that job is done, the agenda completed,” stated my source. “It’s no accident, his lack of history, lack of bona fides. It’s all about his lack of allegiance to our country and the Constitution that ‘43’ called just a ‘G-d damned piece of paper.' And Bush was an American President, at least on paper. Where does Obama call home?  Where does his allegiance lie? That’s what the eligibility brouhaha is all about and why it’s so important, but 'hardly anybody gets it.' When he said he was a citizen of the world, those were not just words, but an admission of sorts. And fundamental change and transformation, that’s what it’s all about.

... Jumping forward ...

The Plan

Look,” stated my source, “I’ve been told that the people with the real power are using the guy in the White House to implement the whole globalist power structure thing. They made certain that they had someone in the White House to go along and implement certain things by executive order, appointments, and other methods to bring about the deconstruction of the U.S., and making our Constitution irrelevant, or at least subservient to international law. I can’t say I know this for sure because it’s all second hand, but it makes sense from my perspective at DHS,” he added.

Remember when I told you about DHS planning a response for chaos, civil war, rioting, insurrection or whatever you want to call it? Well, that’s not happening fast enough, and there are people who don’t think it can be accomplished in one term. That’s why a second term is critical, and that’s why there’s desperation sinking in. Napolitano is corresponding a lot with the White House, to Valerie Jarrett, to the Secret Service, and to others I won’t name. But there is some plan in place to assure the reelection of this guy so he can finish the job he was given,” he said.

We’re talking about something taking place to make sure that Obama stays in office. I’ve been privy to ‘contingency plans’ ordered by Jarrett for one that defines the protocol for DHS response to the ‘temporary suspension of U.S. elections due to international and domestic crisis.’ It’s a real document, ordered by Jarrett and contains plans for travel restrictions, gun possession ban by citizens, and in general, ‘martial law.’

You know, I heard rumors about the same thing under Bush and laughed, calling it conspiracy nonsense. Now I’m not so sure, and think that maybe it was just too early and the wrong person. Anyway, I’m not laughing anymore.

“[The Borg] operate toward the fulfillment of one purpose: to ‘add the biological and technological distinctiveness of other species to “their” own’ in pursuit of ‘perfection.’ The concept of perfection is the unifying idea at the core of the Borg. … This is achieved through forced assimilation, a process which takes individuals and technology, enhancing and controlling them. [Emphasis added.]

It isn't just political rhetoric when it comes to explaining difference between the two political sides; Republicans vs Democrats, or really, more like Conservatives vs Progressives. It is all about eliminating the existing ignorance about what each side wants, that we must keep the contrast in the forefront of the debate prior to the election. And who better to define their sides better than the candidates?  They are both doing well in that department.  Here is a story about Barack Obama's plan for us:

'Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated'
Exclusive: Patrice Lewis compares Obama collectivist goals to Star Trek's Borg
From WND Commentary ~ By Patrice Lewis ~ Published Jul 20, 2012
PATRICE LEWIS
It was Saturday night. The air was hot and sticky, and my husband was covered with sawdust and sweat after a long day of working in our wood shop. It’s the busy season for our home woodcraft business, and putting in 70-hour work weeks isn’t unusual.

That kind of work schedule is why he became spitting mad at something he heard on the radio. “President Obama made a speech in which he said, ‘If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. … If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen’!

This is NOT the kind of thing a self-employed man needs to hear after a 14-hour workday.

The gist of the speech, we learned, is that no business owner can take credit for his or her successful enterprise. We must remember the teachers who influenced us; and more importantly, we must give credit to the government that built the roads and bridges and the Internet and other infrastructure that made any success possible.

Now, don’t get me wrong – I don’t know a single business owner who isn’t grateful for the support structure underneath him. We’ve all had people who have positively influenced our business efforts: parents, teachers, friends, mentors, bosses. … But we’ve also had those who have detracted from our business endeavors: tax collectors, bureaucrats, regulators, pencil-pushers and administrators (almost every one of them from the government) whose sole purpose is to make our business accomplishments more complicated, expensive and difficult.

Obama – a man who has never started a business or made payroll or taken entrepreneurial risks – dares to claim that without government infrastructure beneath our feet, we could not achieve success. His attitude is typical of progressives who insist that The Village must be given credit for anyone’s individual accomplishments.

In the following column, David Limbaugh amplifies on the message in the Patrice Lewis column above, when he reflects on the anti-business nature of Barack Obama:

Government the granddaddy of business?
David Limbaugh pummels Obama for nonstop burdens on American entrepreneurs
From WND Commentary ~ By David Limbaugh ~ Published Jul 16, 2012
DAVID LIMBAUGH
Obama has few people with business experience in his administration. He has no former CEOs in his Cabinet, and there is almost no top-level private-sector experience among his inner circle of advisers. Time magazine’s Fareed Zakaria, a liberal and a big fan of Obama’s, admits that even the business leaders who voted for Obama believe he is, “at his core, anti-business.

George Buckley, CEO of 3M, said: “We know what his instincts are. … He is anti-business.”  Steve Wynn, CEO of Wynn Resorts, said: “This administration is the greatest wet blanket to business and progress and job creation in my lifetime. And I can prove it. … Everybody complains about how much money is on the side in America.

Even Obama’s attacks against Romney are mostly grounded in Obama’s antipathy toward Romney’s success in business and Obama’s innate hostility toward the private sector.

Obama’s punitively anti-business policies have made it very difficult for businesses to flourish and for job growth to occur. His anti-business attitude and rhetoric have poisoned the market that much more.

If and when Obama is defeated in November, we should anticipate an explosion in business and entrepreneurial activity among ordinary Americans who realize they’re about to be liberated from the most anti-business president in our history.

"President Obama, I feel your pain. You were in way over your head when you essentially became the CEO of the largest economy in the world.

You had less business experience than a seven-year-old girl running a front-yard lemonade stand."

In this piece, Michael Reagan expounds on Obama's constant demonization of the rich business owners, giving new meaning to, "There you go again."  Could the class warfare strategy be something that completely backfires for Obama's re-election effort?  Let's hope so.

Reagan: There You Go Again
From GOPUSA Commentary ~ By Michael Reagan ~ Published Jul 12, 2012 12:44 pm
There you go again, Mr. Obama -- again and again and again, engaging in class warfare.

Trying to make voters think Mitt Romney cares more about the offshore bank accounts of the wealthy than the pocketbooks of the middle class.

Proving for the umpteenth time that you know nothing about economics, how wealth and jobs are created or why businesses and rich people are moving themselves or their money overseas to escape the taxes you think aren't high enough.

"There you go again, Mr. Obama."

That's what my father would have said to the president's latest dumb idea to punish rich and successful Americans by raising their taxes.

"Mitt Romney got rich because he is smart and he works hard. That makes him pretty darn cool, in my book. Those of you who resent the rich: Get over it and study how they did it. Along the way, you’ll discover that the rich not only pay most of the taxes, but in all likelihood they pay your paycheck, too." ~ Herman Cain

And Herman has it right. It seems like Obama and his minions on the left not only refuse to give those that built their businesses any credit, they are making sure that entrepreneurs are being chained down by taxes and regulations, and potentially the Obamacare monstrosity. I think that Herman Cain did very well to disclose the perfect storm that will face our economy with four more years of Obama.

Rich is cool
Herman Cain: Stop resenting wealthy people, and figure out how they became that way
From WND Commentary ~ By Herman Cain ~ Published Jul 22, 2012
HERMAN CAIN
He's rich, and he's cool!
If the polls are any indication, it hasn’t worked, but the Obama campaign spent big money over the last month attacking Mitt Romney for what it apparently believes is the worst sin imaginable: He is rich.

And as we know now (not that it was a big surprise), President Obama’s disdain for those who have earned substantial wealth runs deep. He doesn’t like you having all that money (unless you contribute it to his campaign), and he really doesn’t like you taking credit for having earned it. That’s why he said the following:

“Look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something – there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.

“If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business – you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.”

As far as Obama is concerned, anyone who is successful got that way because of the system, by which he means the government. Democrats sometimes refer to the rich as “the winners in life’s lottery,” which is to say they merely got lucky in a game of chance – and that’s why they need to fork over so much of their wealth in taxes, so Democrats can “spread the wealth around” to all those other smart, hardworking people, who just didn’t happen to win life’s lottery.

What a load of cr-p. To listen to these people, you’d think being rich was the worst thing anyone could do.

I want to show you my new friend's video to conclude this WIFLI edition. Virginia Prodan, as you will read and see below, knows what it was like to live in a country that allowed no freedom to express her religious beliefs.

And you see, I am one that is beginning to believe that the United States of America is quickly headed in a direction - a "transformation" - that should the desires of Obama and his supporters (followers) be realized, in four more years, we certainly could be living in the same kind of nightmare that Virginia had to endure.

Virginia Prodan's Fight for Freedom and Escape from Romanian Communism
Virginia Prodan was an attorney in Communist Romania under the rule of Nicolae Ceausescu. She became a target of the Securitate, Romania's secret police, when she became a Christian and began fighting religious persecution in that country. She was granted political asylum by the Reagan Administration in 1988, and currently practices law in Dallas, Texas.

Assuming that we do have an election in November, I am hoping that you will be informed by then, and be aware of the differences between the candidates. Don't even try to tell me, ever, that there is a fuzzy line between the parties and candidates. No, the line is extremely vivid, more than it has ever been in the last few decades (since Reagan vs Carter).

By November 5th, it would be frightening should any one pull a lever for a candidate without realizing the importance in determining how we will live in America in the near future.  You know, like financial freedom where you determine what you do, or financial "security"where the government is the nanny that decides how you will live.

And please understand that I know I'm not supposed to say anything like this, but I will anyway: I have this feeling, deep inside me, that the present administration will resent the thought of losing power enough that anything goes. Martial law, including the elimination of people that are willing to fight for freedom. Some of us are going to desire to live free, or die. If I ever do "disappear," it won't because I wanted to.  I'm just sayin'....

Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing for Friday, Feb 24, 2012

Welcome to this edition of Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing!

What is WIFLI?
You may be wondering what the acronym "WIFLI" means. I started out by calling these issues the Time 2 Escape Daily, but that didn't work out very well. I quickly learned that putting these issues together on a daily basis was a task I was unable to accomplish. To replace "Daily" in the title, I coined the acronym WIFLI, which literally means "When I Feel Like It." Putting together a post on this blog WIFLI works much better for my schedule, and for the higher quality of each issue that is eventually published!
Sometime earlier yesterday, on Thursday morning, I knew I had a story to tell you.

I had found a link to a column where a British columnist/blogger had mentioned a weird thing that he noticed about Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. They seemed to gang up on Rick Santorum, but they never attacked each other. And then, I heard Rush Limbaugh put it all together. The story kept getting better and better. Like Rush said, there may have been more to it than the story that was broken by that British commentator, Toby Harnden.

You'll have to read further down this Briefing to find out what Rush Limbaugh said to make sense of it all.

In the meantime, I found so much material in my "show prep" notes, I ended up having to discard much of the potential material I had at my fingertips. Yes, it was good stuff, and it tugged at me to get into today's briefing, but it couldn't be done. The lineup was full, I could only put so many starters on the floor (a little basketball analogy there). I would still be working on this edition, and when done, you would still be reading when the polls open on November 6, 2012.

Sure, there is always more that I'd love to tell you about. The problem is that you are just like me and our time is limited. We can only soak up so much information at a time, and I am limited by time in gathering and including it. That, I believe, is the WIFLI experience. We can be quickly astonished by the amount of time it takes to be a sponge. But, hey, isn't that what keeps me working on this blog, and keeps you coming back for more? I'm just sayin'...

Audience Boos Contraception Question — Gingrich Then Slams Media Over Obama and ‘Legalized Infanticide’
From THEBLAZE ~ by Mytheos Holt ~ Posted on February 22, 2012 at 10:07pm

CNN Moderator John King got more than he’d bargained for Wednesday night when he asked the Republican candidates a question on contraception. The audience responded immediately with audible, angry booing, before Former Speaker Newt Gingrich seized the microphone and delivered another sharp rejoinder to King.

“I want to make two quick points, John. The first is there is a legitimate question about the power of the government to impose on religion activities which any religion opposes. That’s legitimate. But I just want to point out, you did not once in the 2008 campaign, not once did anybody in the elite media ask why Barack Obama voted in favor of legalizing infanticide,” Gingrich said, to raucous applause.

Michael Savage: Santorum is right about Satan
'Someone who actually believes what he's talking about' can win White House
Exclusive ~ From WND ~ Published Feb 21, 2012

Comments unearthed from a 2008 speech about Satan’s influence on America made Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum the target of derision and mockery today, but talk-radio host Michael Savage contends the former Pennsylvania senator is right, and his beliefs should only help his chances for the White House this fall.

“I think Santorum is right, and I think that anyone who attacks him is not seeing this for what it is,” Savage told his radio audience.

Savage said he agrees that America is primarily a Christian nation, and its churches and synagogues are “filled with parishioners who are screaming for preachers and pastors and rabbis to speak the truth, and they’re not getting it.”

Forceful Santorum Fends Off Romney Attacks
From NEWSMAX ~ By Paul Scicchitano ~ Wednesday, 22 Feb 2012 10:00 PM

The final four GOP presidential candidates came out swinging Wednesday night on earmarks, the economy, healthcare and the automotive bailout in the 20th and final debate before the decisive Super Tuesday contests.

Much of the jabs were directed at the unlikely new front-runner — former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, who is fresh off a triple-play of victories in Minnesota, Colorado and Missouri.

Asked by CNN moderator John King why he ran an ad accusing Santorum of being a “fake,” feisty Texas Rep. Ron Paul retorted, “Because he’s a fake.”

Paul went on to attack Santorum’s support for the No Child Left Behind legislation, which he now plans to repeal if elected president.

“I find it really fascinating that when people are running for office they’re really fiscally conservative,” charged Paul. “When they’re in office they do something different. Then, when they explain themselves, they say ‘oh I want to repeal that.’ ”

"Look, politics is a team sport, folks," Santorum said of the measure backed by Republican President George W. Bush and other GOP lawmakers. "I voted for that; it was against the principles I believe in, but I did that to help the team. Sometimes you have to take one for the team."

Santorum campaign suggests Mitt Romney may have done deal to make Ron Paul his running mate
Via WND ~ From MailOnline ~ Toby Harnden's Blog ~ 23 February 2012 4:56 AM

After tonight's debate, in which Ron Paul and Mitt Romney repeatedly attacked Rick Santorum over his 16-year record in Congress, the former US Senator for Pennsylvania hinted that something nefarious was going on.

"You have to ask Congressman Paul and Governor Romney what they've got going together," Santorum told reporters in the spin room in Mesa, Arizona. "Their commercials look a lot alike and so do their attacks."

Santorum's top strategist John Brabender went even further, charging that the two men had "joined forces" and were coordinating attacks against his man

"Clearly there's a tag team strategy between Ron Paul and Mitt Romney. For all I know, Mitt Romney might be considering Ron Paul as his running mate. Clearly there is now an alliance between those two and you saw that certainly in the debate."

Rush: I Predicted a Romney-Paul Tag Team
From NEWSMAX ~ By Michelle Lopata ~ Thursday, 23 Feb 2012 01:54 PM

RUSH LIMBAUGH
Rush Limbaugh predicted a “meeting of the minds” between Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Ron Paul back in January but kept it to himself. Now that there is considerable speculation it might be a reality, he says he regrets his silence.

Limbaugh noted during his radio show on Thursday that he wrote his friends an email last month speculating that Romney and Paul may have struck an alliance to set up either the Texas congressman or his son, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, for the vice-presidential slot if the former Massachusetts governor became the GOP presidential nominee.

Limbaugh said that, in debate after debate, it was clear that the two candidates never “rip into each other.” Paul attacks everyone who happens to be the front-runner but never seems to go after Romney — and Romney never goes after Paul.

Following the Debate Wednesday night, The Daily Mail British newspaper ran a story about former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum suggesting a possible tag-team effort between his two rivals, and now Limbaugh is claiming he knew it all along.

How to win Republican nomination

I know how Rick Santorum can win the Republican nomination.

I’m not sharing any secrets with you I haven’t already shared with the former senator from Pennsylvania.

It’s really just a question of whether he will recognize the value of my advice and embrace it with the enthusiasm necessary to sell it to the American people.

By the way, if he doesn’t, the same idea can be used by either Mitt Romney or possibly even Newt Gingrich to secure the nomination – so time is short.

Everyone can see that grass-roots Republican voters are not yet excited about any single candidate for president. As of today, Santorum is polling nationally ahead of Romney. Gingrich and Ron Paul follow. No one has a commanding lead, and primary and caucus victories have been split.

So what’s the secret of breaking out?

It’s coming up with the bold domestic economic plan virtually all Republicans, most independents and even a strong plurality of Democrats will embrace.

Parker: The Left's wins fuel Santorum surge
From GOPUSA Commentary ~ By Star Parker ~ Posted February 20, 2012 6:57 am

STAR PARKER
A succession of high profile left-wing decisions and initiatives of recent weeks drive home the extent to which the Left is changing the face of America.

Notable among these are the decision of a federal appeals court in California to uphold a prior court finding that California's Proposition 8, defining marriage as between a man and a woman, is unconstitutional; the reversal of a decision, because of a tsunami of left-wing pressure, of the Susan G. Komen Foundation to withdraw its funding to Planned Parenthood; and the Obama administration rulemaking refusing to grant a religious exemption from the new health care law employer mandate requiring provision of free contraception and sterilization services as part of health coverage.

These developments are, I think, helping to buoy the newly surging candidacy of Rick Santorum. Why?

Santorum stands out in the current Republican field in the clarity of his image and identity. There is little doubt about who the man is and there are no glaring inconsistencies between who he says he is today and his past behavior and positions.

So, if you are asking what is "fair," Thomas Sowell has an answer for you.

The 'Fairness' Fraud
From GOPUSA Commentary ~ By Thomas Sowell ~ Feb 22, 2012 6:55am

THOMAS SOWELL
During a recent Fox News Channel debate about the Obama administration's tax policies, Democrat Bob Beckel raised the issue of "fairness."

He pointed out that a child born to a poor woman in the Bronx enters the world with far worse prospects than a child born to an affluent couple in Connecticut.

No one can deny that. The relevant question, however, is: How does allowing politicians to take more money in taxes from successful people, to squander in ways that will improve their own reelection prospects, make anything more "fair" for others?

Even if additional tax revenue all went to poor single mothers -- which it will not -- the multiple problems of children raised by poor single mothers would not be cured by throwing money at them. Indeed, the skyrocketing of unwed motherhood began when government welfare programs began throwing money at teenage girls who got pregnant.

Children born and raised without fathers are a major problem to society and to themselves. There is nothing "fair" about increasing the number of such children.

A more fundamental problem with the "fairness" issue raised by Beckel and many others is the slippery vagueness of the word "fair."

Initiated force: Liberals' tool of control
Exclusive: Phil Elmore notes the State's 'willingness to use violence to bring you to heel'
From WND Commentary ~ By Phil Elmore ~ Published Feb 22, 2012

PHIL ELMORE
Liberals adore force. While they hate any firearms they do not wield, and they abhor the notion of self-defense and self-preservation (because leftist ideology is fundamentally self-destructive), they exult in making the other fellow toe the line. From cradle to grave, every waking moment of a man’s life must be controlled if that man is to make the “right” choices as dictated by a lib.

Leftists believe that individual freedom is a threat to all and that freedom of action must be curtailed. The means to make you do as they wish is violence, codified in complex laws and regulations and enforced by the jackbooted thugs of an all-powerful state.

What better symbol is there for liberal violence than the “Occupy” movement, endorsed by President Obama and plagued by rape, disease, defecation and vile threats of assault and murder? These marching, mindless, ravening hordes, these entitled thugs, epitomize where and to what lib rule is driving us.

All lib violence has as its common denominator the desire to make you do something against your will. Democrats and left-wingers salivate at the thought of making you do what they say. They will impoverish you, imprison you, ruin you as totally and as thoroughly as they can, if you oppose them. This is the very definition of initiated force, a concept that runs counter to every instinct and consequence of a free society. It is for this reason that political liberalism, accompanied as it always is by the irresistible compulsion to force your fellow men to obey you, is completely antithetical to the United States Constitution.

Hollywood Should 'Just Say No' to Drugs
From NEWSMAX ~ By Michael Reagan ~ Posted Wednesday, 22 Feb 2012 04:50 PM

Another tremendously talented American who had riches and fame beyond most people's dreams has killed herself with drugs. Whitney Houston's life was wrecked and cut tragically short at 48 because she became mired in the self-destructive hell of drug use.

In the late 1970s my birth brother was living in L.A. and working as a writer on "Laverne & Shirley," the number one-rated TV show in the country. It was pretty heady stuff for a 21-year-old kid from Ohio.

I remember him telling me how cocaine and other drugs were becoming increasingly popular with the creative crowd in Hollywood at the time.

He had more money than God and he found himself facing a tough choice: Put his money up his nose like everyone else or leave town.

He chose to leave. Many other young people we know never made the right choice with drugs and their lives ended like Houston's.

Can you imagine what Whitney could have done had she stayed away from drugs?

America's Wounded Warriors -- Honor, Courage and Sacrifice ~ By Michael Reagan

From www.reagan.com By Michael Reagan ~ August 13, 2009 This past week, I was fortunate to play in the Wounded Warrior charity golf tournament. This commendable project aims to raise awareness and enlist the support of the public’s aid for severely injured service men and women while at the same time creating an environment of support which allows these injured heroes to recuperate with high-quality care and treatments. As a result of our Global War on Terror, nearly 35,000 United States service personnel have been seriously wounded in combat. Shockingly, out of the 755,000 veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, the Department of Veterans Affairs says more than 181,000 are collecting disability benefits of some type -- many requiring grueling physical therapy and continuing care in an attempt to get about with their daily lives. And not surprisingly, many young men and women are returning with emotional scars that may take years to uncover and resolve. [READ ENTIRE COLUMN]
