Greg Gutfeld on Cancel Culture, Social Media, and his New Book ~ Ep. 1311 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode on youtube.com/Bongino or in his Show Notes:
In this wide-ranging interview with Fox News’ host Greg Gutfeld, we discuss his new book “The Plus,” the pernicious effects of cancel culture, the future influence of social media on the country, and more.
I had a thought while I was watching this great interview of Greg Gutfeld by Dan Bongino:  After seeing this interview, and what I learned about Greg's book, "The Plus:  Self-help For People Who Hate Self-Help," I wasn't really sure if I should write about this interview.  Plus, or Minus?  In this case, a definite plus.

In these days of people having to work from home, and your spouses are around and see you as you would be at work... Well, Dan and Greg nail it.  It is one of those things where the spouse asks, "Who are you?"  Umm, as it is mentioned in the video, that can work both ways.

And most definitely social engineering here, but when you use Greg's idea about asking yourself if it would be a plus or a minus benefit to mention something that bugs you about your spouse, that should always be a minus benefit:  Zip it.

When it comes to the cancel culture, I tend to pay no attention to them.  What's the point?  Do I have that much to lose?  And, go ahead and say something sick and sadistic about me, and if it isn't true, you'll just hear from an attorney.  But I really have nothing that would concern me.  I've never been to an offshore island and in kinky situations.  There's no Adventures With Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein in my past.  The only thing I've really ever done is admit I'm a Conservative, and maybe written some really stupid things on Twitter or Facebook that I shouldn't have, but that was before I learned about Greg's Rule of considering the plus or minus benefit before posting.

So there you have it.  It is probably an episode you don't want to miss.  It is definitely a post on johnny2k's Blogging In Our Time2Escape that you don't want to miss! Jus' sayin'...

Time to Escape!

by John Kubicek Time to Escape? What a sick, twisted irony it is, to have named this blog, "Blogging in Our Time 2 Escape." For me, that is, there is no escape.
The journal of journals where you can find out what johnny2k and his patriotic friends have been up to! And you know what is so good about this? I'm finding out how to be a good community organizer. Oooohhhh, yeah. It's possible to be a Conservative community organizer. We can do it, too!
I do not know for sure it is understood what my mission is in this blog. Yes, I'd like to have many visitors, just like any other blogger. But, it is not for me, not for my benefit. It is for the reason that I AM doing this blog; it is to promote ALL of us that want to make a difference in this world. But, of course, I have a partisan purpose, too. Make no mistake, I have my own agenda that I want to promote. Of course, my promotional efforts can in no way measure up to the amount of propaganda that is offered by the mainstream media, the public school systems, the colleges and universities, Hollywood, politicians... However: Let's put this dream in some perspective. One at a time. Know what I'm saying? Not the quickest way to change a culture, but it will have to do for the lack of my noteriety. There is a goal or two that I would like to reach in this effort, in the remaining days of 2008. I'd like to see the 5,000 page views on this blog before the year runs out. As of now, that's less than 200 views that it will take to achieve that goal. It's possible. We can do it, but there are only three days left of the year. And please remember it is not for me, but for all of the people that offer us valuable insights in their blogs, or even their comments on sites like digg.com. Reaching that goal really will depend on you. But the other goal I'd like to reach is up to me. Last month, I had posted 143 articles. Counting this piece, I am now up to 119. I'd like to top that 143 mark this month, but it will take an extreme effort. I'll do my best, but I can't guarantee anything. In order to make that goal, it will be required to sacrifice doing some things that only offer ME a time to escape. Again, that is the irony of the title of this blog. A nation bursting with spoiled brats - by Patrice Lewis

The following are some of the quotes from this great column by Patrice Lewis:

We want the government to give us stuff for free, stuff like health care and housing, food and employment. These are things that earlier generations knew were our own personal responsibility to provide for ourselves.

Instead we prefer to whine and gripe and moan our way to socialism because we've become a nation of professional victims.

Patrice continues on:
To quote this YouTube clip, everything is amazing right now and nobody's happy. We live in an incredible world, and it's wasted on us. How quickly we have come to think the world owes us something. Why are we no longer falling down in gratitude for our prosperity and relative affluence? [Continue reading]

Inspiration for the New Year - by Pat Boone

Change we voted for, and change we got. And while President-(S)elect Obama courts the approval of feminist groups who favor abortion, the death rate of black babies may spiral upward. It's a bleak prospect, but hope comes from another direction, exemplified by another black leader: His name is Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson. Thank you, Pat, for the inspiration!

BOOSTERS - Inspiration, Motivation and Encouragement

Our motivational fuel is derived from the development of a positive mental attitude, a very necessary ingredient of strength. Positive attitude is the fuel that provides the energy strong enough to pull us through rocky times. It helps us to overcome the gravitational pull towards quitting when we encounter too many obstacles and barriers.
