Emotional Caller Tells Rush Limbaugh What Every American Is Feeling

Okay, maybe saying that it is what EVERY American is feeling is somewhat of a slight exaggeration, but I can assure you that it might what at least 75 million Americans may be feeling, or at least half of the voters in the 2020 Election, if not more.

I heard this call when I was listening to Rush on Friday, November 20, 2020.  I completely felt the caller's pain.  And yes, I've always been a Republican, and yes, there have been many times that I've been disappointed with the results of their lack of true leadership when they were in office.  Unfortunately, it wasn't until Donald Trump came along, that I realized that none of the other Republicans that I have voted for that actually won their elections, outside of Ronald Reagan, was ever able to go over and above my expectations.

And I don't know if there ever will be any body else with the enthusiasm for his job, and love for the American people like (still) President Donald Trump has displayed, and did the most for us that he was allowed to.  And he did it all while under attack by the Demonicrats and Never Trumper Republicans.

Cruz vs. Trump: Not even a contest ~ By Star Parker

Star Parker
Star Parker: It takes a leader that's 'a little bit of a maniac' to turn things around

I am afraid that in this rare time, I may have to contradict Star's title to this column, which is "Cruz vs. Trump: Not even a contest." You see, there is just a little hint of misinformation, at least for some that haven't paid enough attention. There are some... no, wait, that should be MANY Republicans that believe there is no contest: Donald Trump is their guy! No contest.

However, Star isn't writing this as a Trump supporter, but as somebody that sees Ted Cruz as a true contender for that Republican Party nomination.  Star explains why SHE feels that Cruz would be a much better President, with his values still intact, and thus making him a better leader, by example, to turn around the decline of America. Yes, her case is about values, and I can not deny that fact. Here is how Star put it:
Now, with our economy growing well below historic average, with our national debt equal to the size of our entire economy, with Medicare and Social Security insolvent to the tune, by some measures, of $100 trillion, with the American family in shambles and almost half our babies being born to unwed mothers, you have to be on another planet, or a Democrat, not to know America is in decline.

But it takes a leader that’s “a little bit of a maniac” to take on turning this big ship around. It takes someone who cares more about country than about self to stand and fight against an entrenched status quo.

Ted Cruz has stood courageously alone since his first day in the Senate, shining light on what is wrong: about growing debt, about Obamacare, about taxpayer funds going to Planned Parenthood, about immigration. Donald Trump today is reaping the harvest of public awareness Ted Cruz has been sowing for years. Trump should be thanking Ted Cruz.
Please understand that I am not posting this column by Star Parker as an endorsement for Ted Cruz, nor am I predicting that Cruz will be the Republican nominee. I'm just the messenger, telling you what a columnist and author, that happens to be a black female, thinks about the top contenders for the 2016 GOP nomination.

What I will say is that I believe the Republican nomination is now between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump. As for me, I'm weighing all the information about both candidates, the good and the bad. I pay attention to what the MSM says about them, because the Democrat rhetoric will echo the leftist media in the general election next Fall. Just to give the liberal media and DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wassername something to really worry about, maybe the solution is to have Trump and Cruz on the ticket. Hillary wouldn't have a prayer! Just sayin'...

Cruz vs. Trump: Not even a contest

New polling shows Ted Cruz picking up major steam and looking very serious in challenging Donald Trump's leadership in the Republican presidential candidate field. A Bloomberg News/Des Moines Register poll shows Cruz now leading in Iowa. A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal national poll shows Cruz jumping up 12 points from 10 percent in late October.…

Iowa Senate candidate with 'make 'em squeal' ad wins GOP primary

Ernst also spoke to the supporters of her competitors, urging them to seek common ground to come together to defeat Braley.

"This is not outcome we were hoping for but an outcome Iowans voted for, and we respect that decisions," her closest challenger, Mark Jacobs, said in his concession speech.

Ernst, also a National Guard officer, garnered support from such Tea Party favorites as Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubio and establishment Republicans such as 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, who helped Ernst with a last-minute swing around the state.

Joni Ernst won the primary election in a big way. There are some very notable reasons why Joni Ernst's successful election bid comes with a great example for the Republicans across the country this coming November on how to take back the U.S. Senate.  As you will see in the video and description below, uniting the Republican Party may be the key.  Just sayin'...

Joni Ernst (R-IA), the Great Uniter of the GOP

Iowa Senate candidate with 'make 'em squeal' ad wins GOP primary

The Associated Press contributed to this report

Published June 03, 2014

Iowa Republican lawmaker Joni Ernst won her party's Senate primary race Tuesday night, after pulling ahead in a crowded field thanks to clever campaign ads and support from Tea Party favorites.

The 43-year-old Ernst, a state senator, handily won the nomination, receiving enough votes to avoid a nominating convention in the five-way race. She'll face Democratic Rep. Bruce Braley in the November general election to replace retiring Democrat Tom Harkin, who held the seat for 30 years.

Ernst attracted national attention after she released an ad in March playfully suggesting her experience on her family’s farm castrating pigs will translate to her cutting “pork” in Congress, pledging to “make ‘em squeal.”

The attention helped her languishing fundraising efforts and made her the frontrunner for the first open Senate seat in the state in three decades.

Dr. Ben Carson talks to Neil Cavuto about what John McCain says in an interview with Neil. McCain claims that Conservative and Tea Party Republicans have an "if you aren't with us 100%, you are against us" attitude, and that they are unwilling to work with other Republicans or across the aisle.

Gingrich: The last 'not-Romney' standing ~ By Tom Tancredo

As a former college professor, did he lead a battle to curtail federal involvement in higher education? No. Energy policy? No – to this day he still supports ethanol subsides, has endorsed cap and trade, and did that awful video on global warming with Nancy Pelosi.

Video provided by Cardsplayer4life on Apr 17, 2008

So, now what?

Do we just watch the Republican Party split and implode?

Is the Tea Party really dead like the Mainstream Media, and even Fox News, is telling us?

Please tell me, Donald Trump isn't our only hope!

We can NOT afford to lose this election and see four MORE years of this Barack Hussein Obama nightmare!

We need a George Washington, and Newt ain't the guy. So, we need to find somebody to unite behind, don't we?

Can we? WILL WE?

YOU decide!  I'm just sayin'....

I want to be perfectly clear: I have nothing against buying silver. In fact, I like silver. But don't tell me it's as good as gold.

Newt Gingrich is riding high in the polls as Herman Cain's support melts away. But what are we getting – gold, silver or brass?

Suddenly, Washington pundits and pollsters are selling Gingrich as the gold standard for "insurgent conservatism" in contrast to Romney's "cool pragmatism." But let's put aside for another day (say, Iowa on Jan. 10) the comparison of Gingrich to other candidates and just ask ourselves some basic questions. Is Newt Gingrich a conservative? Would he implement a conservative agenda as president?

The sad fact is, after a 30-plus year career in politics, we still don't know what we are getting with Gingrich because he has been all over the map – pardon me, all over the galaxy – in his policy proposals.

Gingrich's eclectic unpredictability does not mean he is not greatly to be preferred over a second term for Barack Hussein Obama. What it does mean is that Gingrich would likely have a hard time defeating Obama.

Herman Cain: Rocket fuel for America ~ By Star Parker

A reader who commented on the column stated: "What I would give to actually have a President who loves America AND our precious freedoms! Herman Cain certainly intrigues this voter!!"

That says it all!

After carefully reading and spending considerable time contemplating on this column, I have no doubt that Star Parker has it right, and the Republican establishment, and one of their supporters, Mona Charen, have it wrong.  The establishment elite are forgetting about who really brought about the Tea Party Movement, and the landslide victories that propelled Republicans back to power in the House and ended Nancy Pelosi's reign: American people that want to revive freedom in the USA! As Star writes, "The Republican Party establishment needs to start listening to grass-roots Americans and asking why no one is exciting them like Herman Cain."

It is a decision that Republican primary voters and caucus attendees need to make soon. Do we want the political experience of the Establishment's pick, Mitt Romney, or somebody that can revive the spirit of freedom and the wonderful outcome that liberty will have on our economy? It's as simple as 9-9-9! Traci, the writer of the comment above, represents the view that I happily share.

It's not just conservatives who are frustrated today. It is every single American who longs to see their nation regain its vitality, restoring freedom and prosperity at home and shining the light of human potential across the planet.

What is particularly frustrating is that the party out of power, the Republican Party, is supposed to be carrying the torch for these values. But it's barely happening. The Party has become bogged down with careerists, rear-view mirror thinkers and its own establishment of inside-the-beltway elite.

Nothing could speak more to this problem than establishment attitudes toward the remarkable Herman Cain.

Take, for instance, a recent column by conservative columnist Mona Charen.

After extolling Cain's compelling virtues – his rags to riches success story, his love of America and the values that make it great, and the courageous ideas he has put on the table in his campaign – Ms. Charen dismisses his candidacy for president.

"[H]e lacks the kind of experience the office requires … political skills … necessary in a political job."

Others who dismiss Cain point to his lack of national organization essential for raising the kind of money a presidential campaign needs.

I just don't see it this way.

19-Aug-11 Edition ~ Inside the debate: Missed opportunity for voters ~ By Herman Cain

Although former Gov. Pawlenty has announced that he is ending his race after last Saturday's Iowa straw poll, he was one of the most genuinely nice opponents in the race. I wish him well in wherever his future takes him.

Whereas the debate gave some people a chance to learn about some of the candidates' ideas for solving problems, different people have different ideas about who won. So pick your favorite candidate and declare them the winner.

But clearly, the American people lost an opportunity to learn more than they did.

As do all the GOP candidates for President, Herman has his flaws. There's no question about it, Herman Cain is way too honest to be a politician. In a post-Iowa Straw Poll interview, Citizen Cain had this to say:

Yes, Herman definitely has his flaws. He is consistent. He doesn't put his finger in the air to see which way the political winds are blowing. Herman sticks to his convictions. Politicians just don't act that way. Oh, wait, that's what is different about him, isn't it?

Wait a minute.... I'm not the only person out here that is tired of the polished politicians always being the presidential candidates, am I?

Actually, in my humble opinion, there is incontrovertible evidence that Herman Cain is exactly what people in the Tea Party Movement are looking for in a candidate, one that would defeat the current President. Rick Perry could beat Obama, too, but can we completely trust that he wouldn't be more of the same? I'm just sayin'...

First, let's clarify some of the media noise about my campaign and my intentions.

I am running for president, seeking the Republican nomination. I finished fifth in the Iowa straw-poll last Saturday ahead of six other candidates. The candidates who finished ahead of me spent millions on TV and radio advertising, and we spent $0.

We have no debt beyond travel and other expenses, which we settle within 30 days after the end of the month. We are raising money at a rate ahead of expenses. We are running the campaign like a business. What a novel idea, and it is working!

With a national name ID of just 46 percent, I have no intentions of dropping out of the race. All of those predictions of the demise of my campaign are all self folly.

Now, last week all media eyes were on Iowa with the latest presidential debate and the Iowa straw poll. Both events are barometers of knowledge of the issues and their respective solutions, presentation, communication skills and how well a candidate can get his supporters to turn out for events. But neither event is a predictor of who will ultimately win the Republican Party's nomination.

Will GOP be able to stand the heat? ~ By Patrick J. Buchanan

Patrick Buchanan is not trying to be a "grumpy old man" when he writes this, but with "the confident enthusiasm of the new Republican class for the assignment history has given it, the balance of power in this city weighs heavily against its success."
This is not to counsel despair. It is to suggest that the true conservatives and tea-party true believers who gave the GOP its victory in November have won a single major engagement in a long war whose outcome remains very much in doubt.
So, is there any hope that things can change? Was the Tea Party effort pointless? Pat offers this:
As Boehner put it, we can't kick the can up the road anymore, because we've come to the end of the road. Like Greece and Portugal, Ireland and Illinois, New York and New Jersey, we have arrived at Hotel California.

"The success of a party means little except when the nation is using that party for a large and definite purpose," said Woodrow Wilson in his first inaugural. "No one can mistake the purpose for which the nation now seeks to use the Democratic Party."

As with Wilson's Democrats in 1913, so it is with the Republican Party today. It has been called to power for the "large and definite purpose" of halting the growth of government and putting the nation's fiscal house in order. Whether it can succeed is another matter.

While a visitor to Capitol Hill the day the gavel was passed from Nancy Pelosi to John Boehner could not miss the confident enthusiasm of the new Republican class for the assignment history has given it, the balance of power in this city weighs heavily against its success.

Consider. To bring the budget even close to balance in half a decade means cutting projected spending for Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security. But any changes here have to be agreed to by Harry Reid's Senate, and then by Barack Obama, who has a veto that the House Republicans have not a prayer of overriding.

And as Obama showed at year's end when he agreed to a two-year extension of George W. Bush's tax cuts in return for payroll tax cuts of his own and new unemployment benefits, the White House will exact a high price for Obama's signature.

Still not getting it ~ By Robert Ringer

Shamefully, a number of establishment Republicans have borrowed the favorite strategy of the left: Isolate and disparage your opponent. It's like the last gasp of a dying dinosaur. Christine O'Donnell has been broke most of her life. Christine O'Donnell had a tax lien filed against her. And Christine O'Donnell lost her home through foreclosure as a result of that tax lien.

Calling all RINOS: Tea-party voters do not view these as negatives. Christine O'Donnell is us! She represents everything tea-party people are mad about. Tax liens make them angry at Washington, not at the person who is on the receiving end of the tax lien. Foreclosures make them mad at Washington, which is the real source of most people's financial problems, not at the person whose house has been foreclosed.
Before you read on, there is something to straighten out concerning what Robert wrote about Christine O'Donnell's tax lien and financial problems. Because of the way the media has gone after Christine on her personal life rather than on the issues, it is important that we know the truth about this candidate. In the video below, starting at 6:10, she gives her side of the story about the tax lien and other financial issues. However, I recommend that you watch the entire video of this segment:

Christine O'Donnell on Hannity - Part 1

Video provided by TheREALjohnny2k

Robert Ringer says something in this column that I have been saying, or at least thinking, for a long, long time: "They want everyday folks to go to Washington." Unfortunately, that is getting harder and harder for everyday people to be able to do because of the growing campaign costs. However, as Christine O'Donnell has shown, it can be done, at least in her primary victory over Mike Castle. She did it with a tenth of the money that Castle spent, and surely much less name recognition. I am hoping that her victory will prove to the Beltway establishment Republicans just how important the Tea Party Movement is. I am also praying that it will encourage other patriots to step up to the plate to take on the establishment politicians from either party, at all levels of government. Just sayin'...
Tea-party voters are savvy enough to realize that none of Christine O'Donnell's personal misfortunes would stop her from voting no to every unconstitutional spending bill served up by congressional progressives. That is what they are looking for in a candidate.

Say what you will about Sarah Palin, she gets it. So does Michele Bachmann, Paul Ryan, Jim DeMint, Ron Paul, Tom Price and a bunch of other tea-party types in the House and Senate. None of them are perfect when it comes to voting – it's an ugly, rough-and-tumble contact sport up there on Capitol Hill – but they're at least making a sincere effort to dramatically reduce government spending and government power. If all Republicans in the House and Senate were in line with them, the future of both our economy and our freedom would look much different than it does today.

Half or more of the American people don't want candidates with experience. They don't want candidates with blue-ribbon credentials. They don't want candidates with Kennedy-like pedigrees. They want everyday folks to go to Washington and repeal Health-care Hell and every other piece of legislation that is unconstitutional. And, yes, they want all entitlement programs phased out.
Still not getting it

By now, people should be beyond surprise when a tea-party candidate upsets an establishment Democrat or Republican – either in a primary or regular election. After all, they've had a year to get used to it.

Nevertheless, the tidal wave of tea-party-candidate victories continues to surprise – and upset – many media pundits and, even more so, establishment politicians. Every possible attempt has been made to marginalize the tea-party people as extremists, but I think it's safe to say that that's a battle that was over a long time ago – and the losers were the hate-mongering left and disbelievers on the establishment right.

But now we've crossed into a danger zone. Trent Lott says that "As soon as (newly elected tea-party people) get here, we need to co-opt them." And, once again displaying the RINO willingness to compromise principles, House Republican Leader John Boehner said, on "Face the Nation," that he would vote for a tax cuts for people making under $250,000 a year (leaving out those with incomes higher than $250,000) if that's his "only option."

Finally, the shocker: The ever-astute Karl Rove, who has been a strong tea-party supporter, allowed a bit of establishment bias to surface when he lambasted the tea party's newest star, Christine O'Donnell. I have no doubts that Rove sincerely believes that establishment candidate Mike Castle, a nine-term congressman, had a much better chance of winning Joe Biden's old Senate seat in Delaware than O'Donnell.

But that misses the point. In fact, in an unintended way, the great non-entity David Gergen – of CNN non-fame – made the best case against Castle by lamenting, "O'Donnell's opponent knew how to work with Democrats." How's that for an endorsement?

The question is, what do establishment Republicans think they would have gained by Castle's election to the Senate? The notion that the Republican's main goal should be to get majorities in both the House and Senate is badly flawed. Having a majority doesn't mean anything if a significant number of that majority repeatedly backs socialist bills offered up by Democrats. They may just as well be Democrats.

So long as Republicans in the Senate include constitutionally subversive progressives like John McCain, Richard Lugar, Orrin Hatch, Susan Collins, Lindsey Graham and Olympia Snowe – to name but a handful of examples – having a "majority" is meaningless.

What a large number of Republicans cannot seem to come to grips with is that tea-party people are simply everyday Americans. In fact, most tea-party people have never gone to a tea-party rally, but feel just as strongly about what is happening to America as those who are actively involved in the movement.

If there is any hope for the Republican Party to survive, the word compromise must be eradicated from the minds of philosophically confused "conservatives" in their ranks. You cannot compromise between right and wrong. You cannot compromise between freedom and slavery. You cannot comprise between stealing and respecting the property of others. You cannot compromise between constitutional and unconstitutional.

GOP on track to snatch defeat from jaws of victory ~ By Ann Coulter

Ann asks the Republican Party to back off on making predictions about how successful the GOP will be in the November 2010 mid-term election. It will only make the Republicans look worse - as in defeat - if expectations end up being too high.
As depressing as it is to watch the Republican Party dive headlong off a cliff, at least we have Dick Blumenthal.

Connecticut's attorney general, pompous, freakishly ambitious, self-righteous, hold-a-press-conference-every-day Blumenthal, was a shoo-in to take Chris Dodd's Senate seat this fall.

After all, he was a Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star and Purple Heart winner from his days as a four-star general in Vietnam. (And captain of the Harvard swim team to boot!)

But now we find out from a front-page article in the New York Times that, despite Blumenthal's repeated references to serving "in Vietnam" – he was never in Vietnam. He got five draft deferments and then joined an elite unit of the Marine Reserves to avoid going to war, serving in their heroic "Toys for Tots" brigade.

Republican consultants are doing a wonderful job raising expectations sky-high for the November elections, so that now, even if Republicans do smashingly well, it will look like a defeat (and an across-the-board endorsement of Obama's agenda). Thanks, Republicans!

That's what happened in the 1998 congressional elections, nearly foiling Clinton's impeachment. It's what happened to the Conservative Party in Britain a week ago. And that's what happened this week in the 12th Congressional District of Pennsylvania, formerly represented by Rep. John Murtha.

Note to Republicans: Whenever possible, victory parties should be held after the election, not before it.

The result of the election in Murtha's old district on Tuesday was that the rabidly anti-Obamacare, pro-life, pro-gun candidate won! Yippee!

But the news on Wednesday morning was that the election "dealt a blow to Republicans," as the New York Times reported.

The reason the Times' description was not utter madness (in violation of New York Times' official policy) is because the anti-Obamacare, pro-life, pro-gun candidate was a Democrat, and, for the past two months, every Republican on TV has been predicting a Republican victory in Murtha's district.

Thanks to all the happy talk, if the Republican actually had won, it would have been Page 16 news. But when the Democrat won, it seemed like an against-all-odds, come-from-behind Hoosiers victory!

Why were Republicans predicting victory in a district where Democrats outnumber Republicans 2-1? Given a choice between two candidates who both hate Obamacare, why would lifelong Democrats not vote for the Democrat?

Republicans are playing the same raised-expectations game with the November elections. Republican House Minority Leader John Boehner is ludicrously predicting Republicans will pick up 100 seats in the House in November. Newt Gingrich puts the figure at an equally insane (and weirdly precise) 78. He also predicts the Cubs will win 132 games this season and six games will be rained out.

Keep it up, Republicans, and I'm going to keep naming names. I have Nexis.

For more than half a century, the average midterm pickup for the party out of power has been 24 seats.

Your job, Republicans, is not to go on Fox News and whisper sweet nothings in conservatives' ears. Your job is to repeal the Obama agenda. Raising expectations so high that a 30-seat Republican pickup will seem like a loss is not helping.

Hold 2012 Republican Convention in Phoenix ~ By Roger Hedgecock

Roger discusses why Arizona passed the immigration law and how those on the left reacted to it, and what the Republicans should do to counter the boycott and show some solid leadership. I love the idea of the "buycott" to counter the boycott. I just heard about the "buycott" a couple days ago.

You can call me an Arizona supporter!

Obama's cynical political game playing while ignoring the real threat to the people of Arizona was not lost on legal immigrants in Arizona. CNN ran a story Friday quoting (with evident surprise) Hispanic Arizonans who supported the state's crackdown on illegals. What the elites miss here is that "Hispanics" are not a monolithic bloc. Legal immigrants from Mexico and their descendants are as concerned about the increasing violence and as supportive of Arizona's actions as any other citizen of that state.

Once again – this brave action by the state of Arizona is an opportunity for the Republican Party to show it is worthy to lead the country in a revival of America as a land of opportunity for every citizen and for every legal immigrant.
By Roger Hedgecock

If the Republican Party really wants to win the election this year, it must take a stand to rally the majority of Americans who increasingly oppose Obamanism and want the Constitution, an opportunity society and a free-market economy restored in America. In the face of calls for the boycott of all things Arizonan, the RNC should immediately award the 2012 Republican National Convention to Phoenix, Ariz.

In the absence of federal government willingness to enforce the law at the border, the Arizona Legislature and Gov. Jan Brewer have acted bravely to defend Arizonans against an increasingly bold, violent invasion of Arizona by illegal aliens by enacting a law which requires local law enforcement officers during the course of a "lawful stop, detention or arrest" to ask for proof of citizenship or legal immigration status. Those without documentation are then turned over to federal authorities for deportation.

Federal law has required legal immigrants to carry documentary proof of their status since 1940. No recent federal administration has enforced this law.

The need for this law was dramatically underscored when a Pinal County sheriff deputy was gunned down by an AK-47 armed illegal-alien drug smuggler during a routine traffic stop Friday.

Thanks to the constant violence between rival Mexican-based drug cartels operating in Arizona, Phoenix has become the kidnapping capital of the U.S.  Home invasions, armed robbery and drug trafficking reach into every community in the state. Arizonans have had enough. In a state where "open carry" of guns is legal and increasingly seen, the legislature recently passed a bill to allow "concealed carry" as a matter of right as well.

Gov. Brewer has appealed to the Obama regime no less than six times for federal government help with no reply. Sheriff Joe Arpaio's efforts to apprehend illegals did get a response from Obama – a Justice Department investigation into whether the sheriff had violated the rights of the illegals!

Every poll shows widespread American support for the principled stand taken by the state of Arizona. But, in another example of the gap between the "two Americas," American media and academic and political elites have denounced Arizona, with former State Sen. Alfredo Gutierrez speaking for many leftists, calling for a boycott to put a "shocking stop to the economy of Arizona."

Ignoring the fact that any such boycott would harm the jobs of all Arizona workers, the Boycott Arizona movement has targeted Major League Baseball with calls to cancel the Cactus League and the All Star Game set this year in Arizona. Conventions scheduled for Arizona are under pressure from the left to cancel. The cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco have joined the boycott, calling on California to cancel all state contracts with any firm from Arizona.

Radical open-border activists even targeted Arizona Iced Tea, which is actually made in New York.

Law-and-order Americans have struck back with a national "buycott" of Arizona. A sampling of tea-party activists across the country last week, for example, revealed an avalanche of messages from families redirecting their vacation planning to include "the Grand Canyon this year." Chambers of commerce in Arizona report a surge of inquiries from out-of-state companies seeking to do business with Arizona companies. A caller to my radio show Friday reported he had bought a home in Phoenix that week in response to the calls for a buycott.

Palin right, HuffPost wrong ~ By Joseph Farah

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
By Joseph Farah Posted: November 20, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Sarah Palin haters will stoop to just about anything to malign the woman they most fear – including lying. That's what Huffington Puffington Post columnist Max Blumenthal did Sunday when he claimed the former vice presidential candidate cited an "urban legend" in a speech when she said the Treasury Department had moved the phrase "In God We Trust" from presidential coins. Blumenthal and his pseudo-news organization characterized Palin's statement as a "rumor" that "most likely originated with a 2006 story on the far-right website WorldNetDaily." Actually, it wasn't "a rumor." It was, what we call in the news business, a fact. A year later, Congress, alerted to the plan by the original WND story, stopped the plan dead in its tracks, as WND also reported. That doesn't constitute an "urban legend." That constitutes reporting that led to a policy change. It doesn't change the fact that the U.S. Mint formulated a plan to do exactly what Sarah Palin said it had done. It just means that once the whistle was blown on a plan that would offend the sensibilities of about 90 percent of Americans, Congress acted in line with the will of the people. Blumenthal suggests Palin was believing and spreading an urban legend. Instead, she was stating a fact. "Palin did not hesitate to take up this 'controversy,' however false, since it conveniently pits a tyrannical, God-destroying, secular big government against humble God-fearing folk," Blumenthal writes. "In doing so, of course, she presented herself as this nation's leading defender of the faith." This is how the Huffington Puffington Post begins a column that is supposed to persuade America that Palin is, in Blumenthal's words, "a cancer on the GOP." Do you believe that Blumenthal and the Huffington Puffington Post are really afraid Palin is going to destroy the Republican Party? Do you think they lie awake at night fretting that the GOP is going to self-destruct? It is their fondest wish. It is their dream come true. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]

Rush Interviews Governor Sarah Palin

From RushLimbaugh.com
November 17, 2009 Audio clips available for Rush 24/7 members only -- Join Now! BEGIN TRANSCRIPT ** This is rough transcript and may be corrected. Sarah Palin - Going RogueRUSH: We are going to open this hour with a rare personal interview, a rare guest. It doesn't happen much on this program, but we are happy to have with us former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, whose book, Going Rogue, hits the shelves today and it's already headed for I think a record in sales. Governor Palin, thanks for making time. It's great to talk to you again. We spoke last Thursday in an interview for the Limbaugh Letter, but it's great to have you here on the radio. GOV. PALIN: Hey, thank you so much, and dittos from an Alaskan. RUSH: Where are you, by the way? Where are we speaking to you from? GOV. PALIN: In a hotel room in New York City. I'm going to do a couple of interviews after that and then head to Grand Rapids for the kickoff of the book tour. RUSH: This is going to be exciting. Are you looking forward to that? GOV. PALIN: I am so looking forward to this. I cannot wait to meet some of these good Americans all across this country. It's going to be a blast. RUSH: They can't wait to meet you, judging by the reception you got during the campaign. Now, ladies and gentlemen, Governor Palin, when we spoke last Thursday I spoke to her a lot about the things in her book regarding the campaign. That stuff you'll read in the Limbaugh Letter, and I predicted to Governor Palin then that much of her book would be ignored in light of the dirt that she was supposedly dishing from the campaign. So Governor Palin what I'd like to do here is go some different directions from what we did in the newsletter interview and start with the economy. We have 10.2% unemployment. We see no end in sight. The administration and others are suggesting next year could be just as bad with unemployment going up to 11%. What would you do differently than is being done now? GOV. PALIN: It's over 10%, and in fact it could be closer to 17 or 18 when you consider those who have kind of given up and not applying for unemployment benefits. So it's bad, it's really bad and then of course Fed Chair Bernanke announced that there are still weak job prospects for the very short term and probably long term, and that's an uncomfortable place for our country to be. What we need to do is shift gears and really head in another direction because what we're doing right now with the fed, it's not working. We need to cut taxes on the job creators. This is all about jobs, creating jobs. We have to ramp up industry here in America, and of course reduce the federal debt, quit piling on and growing more. But those common sense solutions there, especially with the cutting taxes on the job creators, that's not even being discussed. In fact, increased taxes is the direction it sounds like Obama wants to go. RUSH: You mean that you don't even hear it being discussed on the Republican side or within the administration? GOV. PALIN: Within the administration, and as it is discussed on the Republican side, Republicans need to be bolder about it. Independents need to be bolder about that solution that has got to be considered and plugged in. This is the only solution that will be successful. We need to rehash some history that proves its success. Let's go back to what Reagan did in the early eighties and stay committed to those common sense free market principles that worked. He faced a tougher recession than what we're facing today. He cut those taxes, ramped up industry, and we pulled out of that recession. We need to revisit that. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]

Bring the troops home now! ~ By Joseph Farah

From WorldNetDaily
By Joseph Farah Posted: November 15, 2009 ~ 11:05 pm Eastern © 2009 I was a supporter of both the Afghanistan invasion and the Iraq war. I believed then, following the Sept. 11 attacks, that it was a matter of national security to hand Islamic terrorists stunning defeats in their own backyards. Even a year ago, I would have said bringing the troops home prematurely would be tantamount to surrender to an enemy determined to do us in. But that was then. This is now. Things have changed and changed dramatically. The biggest change is one in America's leadership. I do not believe Barack Obama is capable of achieving anything remotely resembling victory in either Iraq or Afghanistan – at least not victory for the United States of America. A president incapable of recognizing that war came home Nov. 5 at Fort Hood is certainly incapable of waging foreign wars. A president incapable of recognizing that terrorists are among us could never be counted on to do the right thing in remote places like Afghanistan and Iraq. A president whose own worst enemies are the Republican Party, Fox News Channel and the tea party movement couldn't possibly ever understand the nature of real combat. It's time to bring the troops home now! It's not without considerable reflection and sadness that I make this call. Like most Americans, I hoped to see the forces that attacked our country without provocation eight years ago utterly destroyed, incapacitated, defeated, devastated, annihilated, demolished and obliterated. It's clear that is no longer an option. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]

Do we Americans still care to be free? ~ By Alan Keyes

From WorldNetDaily
Alan KeyesBy Alan Keyes Posted: November 13, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Behind all the supposed debate over issues like health care, cap-and-trade and the spending frenzy involved in fueling the freight train to national socialism looms the simple question that pervades them all: Do Americans still care to be free? Of course, I don't use the word in the narrow sense of doing whatever pleases you at the moment. Whether they were confronting the harsh realities of frontier life, accepting the discipline of working to care for a family, or striving to develop the skills and talents that have been the cutting edge of America's economic success, that silly libertarian idea of freedom in the licentious sense has never been the object of America's allegiance. But when people came together at the frontier settlements to make provision for the defense of their nascent communities; when they gathered to decide who might act as sheriff to deal with local misdemeanors; when they deliberated about building a church or a school; or electing the town's first mayor, or doing something about the muddy mess on Main Street when the rains came, that was freedom. It meant accepting responsibility for the good of the whole community, rather than expecting some special class of individuals to take on that responsibility in exchange for status and power. We have now come to a decisive moment in the history of the United States. Some people, represented openly by the Obama faction, and covertly by their crypto-socialist fellow travelers in the leadership of the Republican Party, want to turn back the clock on republican self-government. Grabbing at whatever issues offer the best excuse, they promise to build the future for us – using government money, following plans drawn up by government bureaucrats and administered under the supposedly benevolent auspices of party bosses we should trust to do what's best for us. The war Obama can't win ~ By Bill Press

From WorldNetDaily [Be sure to read the editor's note at the bottom of this column!]
By Bill Press Posted: October 23, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 No matter how many more troops he sends into battle, President Obama must understand that this is one war he can't win. No, I'm not talking about the war between American troops and the Taliban. I'm talking about the war between the White House and Fox News. War with Fox was declared by Gen. Barack Obama himself on Sept. 20, when he appeared on five Sunday morning political shows but deliberately shunned "Fox News Sunday" and showed up on Univision, instead – which caused Fox anchor Chris Wallace to sound like a crybaby in calling White House aides "the biggest bunch of crybabies I have dealt with in my 30 years in Washington." The war escalated a couple of weeks later when Obama communications Director Anita Dunn took the gloves off. Appearing on "Reliable Sources," she told CNN's Howard Kurtz that Fox was little more than "the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party." That's their business, Dunn added, "but let's not pretend they're a news organization like CNN is." Joining forces, Moveon.org then issued a call for all Democrats in Congress to decline interviews on Fox for the rest of the year in support of Obama's decision to do the same. And Slate's Jacob Weisberg similarly challenged all "respectable journalists" to stop appearing on its programs. Taking on the biggest of the cable news networks is a risky strategy for the White House. Previous presidents have taken on other news outlets and failed. And I believe the Obama administration will, too. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]
Editor's Note: I do not normally agree with Bill Press on anything, and though he throws in the typical liberal jive on this column, I decided to include it here in the blog today. And by the way, Bill, don't you wonder why people love Fox News so much? Could it be that people are sick and tired of the liberal bias on ALL of the MSM "news" (propaganda) networks?

Democrats' 9/11 plan: Blast 'right-wing' terror

From WorldNetDaily
Suggested campaign paints Obama critics as enemies Posted: September 03, 2009 ~ 9:46 pm Eastern ~ By Bob Unruh © 2009 WorldNetDaily

The Democrats, whose presidential administration previously condemned as "potential terrorists" those who oppose same-sex marriage and are offended by restrictions on firearms, all based on Internet chatter, has suggested blasting those who oppose Obamacare as "right-wing domestic terrorists" on 9/11 of this year. According to an "Organizing for America" campaign document unveiled by the Heritage Foundation the plan involves having activists telephone their "State Senators" on Sept. 11, 2009, to demand a "public option" which essentially would involve a government-funded and government-run monopoly on health care. Bobby Eberle, posting on a Republican Party site called The Loft, said Obama "and his team have no limits on what they will do or say in order to inject socialist views into the minds of Americans. Chrysler's 'hit list' targets GOP donors ~ By Chelsea Schilling

Dealers who give to Republicans much more likely to be shuttered Posted: May 27, 2009 ~ 7:54 pm Eastern By Chelsea Schilling © 2009 WorldNetDaily As part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy, Chrysler is terminating one-fourth of its franchises – but some say its catalog of doomed dealerships looks more like a hit list that specifically seeks to put Republican donors out of business. Chrysler will now be eligible for up to $8 billion in taxpayer-funded federal aid. The federal government has already provided $8.58 billion to Chrysler and Chrysler Holding between the months of January and May of this year. The Treasury also loaned $1.5 billion to the automaker's lending arm in January. President Obama has said the bankruptcy will give the company "a new lease on life," after his administration spearheaded a plan requiring the company sell to Italian automaker Fiat. Chrysler's stronger operations will be owned by Fiat, labor and the U.S. and Canadian governments. The sale could close as early as this Friday. Obama said the bankruptcy would be a "quick" and "efficient" step toward Chrysler's "survival." "The necessary steps have been taken to give one of America's most storied automakers, Chrysler, a new lease on life," Obama said. "This is not a sign of weakness." But WND reviewed the list of 789 closing franchises and databases of political donors and found that of dealership majority owners making contributions in the November 2008 election, less than 10 percent gifted to Democrats while 90 percent gave substantial sums to Republican candidates. The listed franchise owners contributed at least $450,000 to Republican presidential candidates and the GOP, while only $7,970 was donated to Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign and $2,200 was given to Sen. John Edwards' campaign. Obama received a combined total of only $450 in donations – $250 from dealer Jane Baldock in Wenatchee, Wash., and $200 from Waco, Texas, dealer Jeffrey Hunter. [Continue reading]
