News Out of Georgia ~ Ep. 1426 ~ The Dan Bongino Show

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode in his Show Notes (a.k.a. Newsletter!):
In this episode, I discuss the breaking news out of Georgia about the 2020 election and a troubling story out of Illinois about a school official.

Well, I did it again.  I got behind.  I took a few too many days off over the holiday weekend, celebrating the New Year a little too much, maybe watching a bunch of football and basketball, and relaxing.  I have a feeling, though, that you are alright with that.  Everybody needs to take a break now and then.  And actually, going by my blog and social media statistics, a lot of people were also taking off for the New Years Day holiday!  And being that it was on Friday this year, that made the perfect opportunity for many of us to take 3 or 4 days off from visiting their favorite blog and websites, or even thinking about what is facing us.  But actually, I have had a lot of thoughts about what is going on right now!

This episode was a few minutes shorter than usual, being it was done on New Years Day.  But, wow, it was extremely powerful!  I actually learned something I hadn't thought of before:  "There is no power (for a politician or bureaucrat) in 'Yes'."  You know, like if you could just go to your local gun dealer, and buy yourself a good firearm, and carry it around with you, with no permits required.  Heck no, that isn't how it goes.  You get to jump through all kinds of hoops to get this permit and that permit.  You know that.  So, what is in it for the politicians that make the laws, or authorities that administer the various processes, in order for you to have that firearm, and use it the way you want to, and have it where you can access it quickly in order to make use of the tool?  It is all about the power that the politicians and government administrators get when they say NO, you need to jump through all these hoops, and pay a lot of fees, most likely.

In relation to that power trip enjoyed by the government officials, Dan also discusses something that I have also noticed over the long life that I've had:  It is getting more and more obvious that there is a lot of difficulty in getting around all of the rules and regulations to start and run a small business.  Back in the day when I was doing small business gigs, I found all the income tax codes to be very burdensome to keep up with, not to mention the amount of record keeping and accounting I had to do.  Finally, in the 1990's, tax software came out that was very helpful; but it always meant spending a wad of cash for it.  While the big corporations could hire huge accounting firms, and could even lobby Congress to change tax laws for their benefit, the small businesses had that immense struggle just to survive and get their tax returns submitted by April 15.  And when tax software came out on the internet, it was great... at first.  But I found that the cost went up quickly as the years went by.  Again, it was a punishment for you if you went off on your own and started a business.  Capitalism is great, but if you think that our government is looking out for the little guy, cancel that thought!

Think about it.  Did Amazon have a rough year with the pandemic going on?  No, it was a fantastic year for them, and who wouldn't have predicted that?  In fact, I'm pretty sure that any company with a very large internet presence didn't do too bad.  But if you owned a shop or a restaurant that depended on incoming foot traffic, and you had to get through more hoops to make your business "Covid Safe," well, good luck with that!  If a regulation got in the way of continuing your business, let alone a Covid shutdown, you weren't going to get too far in getting the government officials to deregulate and eliminate all the barriers.  Okay, well, you just might have to close your business, which a large number of people have had to do!

So, I guess what I learned from Dan today was that not only do government officials love the power, but they also will get the benefits of lobbyists that can send them on a trip to Cancun or buy them a case of the finest wine.  Well, that's what the corporate world can do when they get big enough.  And okay, I think the point is made that the government is not really for the little people...  Not when they can get that kind of power.  And you wonder why the Swamp got so deep and full of a lot of mud, like quicksand, that can suck in those that are supposed to be working for us?

So, is it any wonder why the Swamp, the Deep State, wants to get rid of Donald Trump, or censor people expressing their thoughts on the social media? Greed and power are the tools that the Devil would use against us.  It's pretty obvious where this is going, so I'll call it a night right there.

Because I know that Dan Bongino would prefer that I embed the Rumble.com video here, I am now doing that! It finally came to me how to do it, and I am very pleased, because it doesn't require me to use the JavaScript code to do it! So, when you are watching, you will not be seeing it via youtube.com again. Nope, not here. Ever!  No more screwtube embedded video here! Forevs! So, it's now RUMBLE all the way, Dan.  For Dan's show page on Rumble.com, click here.

Get government out of the charity business ~ By Star Parker

Star Parker to lawmakers: Don't try to fix programs, just end them

According to a 2012 Congressional Research Service report and the staff of Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., who commissioned the report, combined annual federal and state spending on anti-poverty programs exceeds $ 1 trillion. About 75 percent comes from the federal government.

These funds, which include programs such as welfare, food stamps, low-income housing programs, child-care assistance, etc. are programs that mostly came onto the American scene with the War on Poverty and, in that they are focused on helping the less fortunate, are what it is usually considered charity.

These programs are notoriously wasteful and are too often counterproductive and motivated by political gain rather than genuine desire to really help people.

Funds extracted from taxpayers, dispensed by bureaucrats, under rules and conditions designed by other bureaucrats, remove personal responsibility from both the giving and receiving ends of the equation.
Without any doubt in my mind, Star Parker explains what the problem is, and how to solve it, all in one column.  Poverty itself is not the problem.  Handing out entitlements has only enabled the recipients to bring about generational poverty.  The ambition to get oneself off of the poverty train by their own efforts has been replaced by a willingness to accept handouts.

Our Founding Fathers understood that concept.  They had no intention of creating a government so willing to become the charity for the people.  The Founders understood the true concept of charity where people who have prospered would willingly contribute to the well-being of all citizens in need.  They knew that real charity was not a forced-giving program through taxes confiscated from a portion of income.  Americans, they knew, had love in their hearts, and wouldn't let people simply starve to death.

By all means, the statement by the farmer to Davy Crockett was what should have been remembered: “You will very easily perceive what a wide door this would open for fraud and favoritism and corruption, on the one hand, and robbing the people on the other.” That's an intelligent analysis by the farmer, but I wish he would added,"But once the government becomes a charity, it will never be able to be reversed, just like the income tax. (Not even with a Republican Congress!?)"

As Star so aptly put it a week ago:
One of President Ronald Reagan’s most famous quips was that the nine most terrifying words in the English language are “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.

It is indeed sad that America today is plagued, indeed threatened, by the very institution it invented to protect its own citizens Government.
It wouldn't be so dismal to think about the future of America if a few more people were aware of this.  There could still be hope, but I'm not holding my breath, not even with the Republican landslide in the 2014 Midterm election  Just sayin'...

From wnd.com Commentary

The story is told that when Tennessee frontiersman Davy Crockett served in the U.S. Congress (between 1827 and 1835) he voted for a bill appropriating $20,000 for relief for victims of a fire that broke out in Georgetown.

When he returned home, a constituent farmer chastised him for supporting the bill and for “giving what is not yours to give.”

The farmer told Crockett the Constitution does not grant Congress the power to give charity, and if it did, “You will very easily perceive what a wide door this would open for fraud and favoritism and corruption, on the one hand, and robbing the people on the other.

We are far from those days. Supreme Court decisions over the years have opened the door for rationalizing just about anything under the spending authority of the Congress.

Those who crafted the U.S. Constitution did not intend limitations on the federal government’s role out of mean-spiritedness. They did so out of a sense of what would best serve the public.

It stands to reason that bureaucrats spending other people’s money – funds taken by force – is not going to produce good results.

Ben Carson: 2016 election may not happen ~ By Bob Unruh

He said, “There’s no telling what could happen in just a couple of years, and particularly where we’re in a situation that we have a Senate and a Senate leader who has over 300 bills sitting on his desk. He will not bring them to the floor for a vote.

He described that as thwarting the will of the people and instead of having government conform to the people, having the people conform to the “will of the government.

The following video is from Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, and includes the portion that Bob Unruh is discussing in this story. There are a few other cuts in the segment that I also include which lead me to the opinion that Dr. Carson would make a great President of the United States. Well, that is, if there IS an election in 2016! Just sayin'...

Ben Carson: 2016 election may not happen
Likely GOP candidate warns 'there is the potential' because of growing 'anarchy'

All that talk about the 2016 presidential race, Hillary Clinton’s innuendos, Rand Paul’s ideas, Chris Christie’s suggestions – may be all for naught.

I hope that that is not going to be the case. But certainly there is the potential,” said Dr. Ben Carson, who was director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital and became famous for his groundbreaking work in separating conjoined twins. He is now firmly established as a superstar among conservatives across America.

Dr. Ben Carson
There may not even be a 2016 president election, according to one man who is a likely contender.

He was responding to a question from Fox News interviewer Chris Wallace, who quoted Carson’s own statement that “there might not actually be elections in 2016…

Do you really believe that?” Wallace asked.

America too far gone to save? ~ By Anthony Martin

"Yes, I will continue to fight, " he continued, "But frankly I don't see a lot of improvement. Not only do I have to fight politicians who are throwing our freedoms into the garbage can, trampling on the Constitution in the process, but I must constantly fight to attempt to educate my fellow citizens in what it means to live in a free society with a Constitution that is supposed to protect our freedoms with the full force of the law. The number of people in America today who understand that the Constitution exists to protect our freedoms from government encroachments is very small."

I do not know who the patriot is that Anthony is writing about. Hopefully, Anthony was able to offer the person some encouragement. I can certainly relate to Anthony's person of interest, however, it would be sad if they are right. Is America too far gone to save?

Many of us still hope and pray that good people that believe in our freedom will come along and get voted into office. But are there enough of those people to start getting into office and helping us get our freedom back? And maybe the bigger question is, can we eventually educate enough people so they will understand the need to vote those people into office? Well, then, we can't just give up working and fighting to get the right people on the ballots, and we can never give up trying to get enough voters for them to get into office. We must. There is only one alternative, as Anthony wrote:
Many if not most citizens have no intention of allowing themselves to become slaves to a government that has become drunk on its own power. Thus, the only alternative is war.
So, for those of us that are trying and doing our best despite our weariness and disillusionment, we have to keep on keeping on. We must remember what Winston Churchill said on October 29, 1941:
"[N]ever give in, never give in, never, never, never - in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."
Winston Churchill is the one person that always had the right to say, "Just sayin'..."

America too far gone to save?
Anthony Martin
By Anthony Martin

August 27, 2014

From Examiner.com

"The country is too far gone to save," he stated with melancholic certainty. "Too many citizens are just like those in Europe who believe that the welfare state that provides cradle to the grave social giveaway programs is to be preserved and expanded at all costs, even if it pushes the nation over the financial cliff into bankruptcy."

The one who provided this sobering analysis is a long time patriot, a defender of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and a fierce opponent of the ever expanding scope and power of an authoritative, centralized government complex. But he shared something that he will tell no one else, something that eats away at his very soul day in and day out. "In spite of the fact that I will continue to fight," he said, "I have grown weary, tired beyond imagination, and disillusioned with not only the politicians who get sent back to Washington over and over but with my fellow citizens who don't have a clue about the nature of the battle we're in."

WIFLI Briefing for Jul 18, 2012 - Wake Up! Just Wake Up!

You may have noticed that I haven't been very active here lately. I'll explain that here, eventually, so please just bear with me for a little bit. First, though, I have a story to tell you.

What I heard on Sunday night, July 15, really had to be a wake up call! I thought I knew I heard it correctly, but I needed to get the quote right to confirm that it happened. I found it. It was on the Christian Science Sentinel - Radio version: "Spiritual healing in life-threatening situations," with Diane Marrapodi, airing from July 14 – 20, 2012.

Sunday night, with my weekend just one day on the job away, seemed to be surreal. I went to bed earlier than usual, and I had a good reason to make the conscious effort of arriving to work a little early.  The alarm clock was carefully set accordingly. For some reason, however, I woke up just prior to when the alarm clock was set to awaken me.  I always have the alarm clock set to go off about a half hour early, so that I can hit the snooze button a couple of times. For some reason, though, the alarm was silent at the time it was set for. Since I was awake, I reset the alarm for the half hour away when I would have to get out of bed. This time, the alarm clock worked, and being that I have it so the radio comes on, I heard the words, "...wake up, just wake up!"

I told several people about that experience when I was at work that night. However, it wasn't until I started making my decisions about which stories I would include in this issue, and I found the column by Erik Rush, I knew that there was a reason I woke up as I did. Having that unbelievable alarm clock episode, with hearing those words, followed by reading Erik's column, "Tell your neighbors: Time to wake the hell up," couldn't be just a coincidence.

In the commentaries that you will find below, there is the theme that it is time to wake up. Every one of the columns are going to focus on the fact that there is an obvious contrast between the ideologies of the two parties, and ultimately, the candidates. What is exposed in this edition is the fact that it is extremely important for you - who love this country - to get out and wake people up.

A little over a month ago, I started several other projects that have consumed my time. One of the projects involves increasing my income, and perhaps replacing my current employment income someday. It has been a time consuming endeavor, and I'm glad to be taking on that challenge. The other project has been in getting a new Facebook "fan page" started, and building up a following. That project is a major part of my objective to help wake up our neighbors!

The irony is that I had to hear the "Wake up!" message on the radio before I could confidently and consciously make the effort to try to wake up any of "my neighbors." And it seems to be ironically twisted in that I decided to start a new page, Johnny2k's America, in order to share information with my "neighbors." It was twisted, because it seems to contradict the whole idea of sharing information with my neighbors to "wake them up." When I tried that on my personal facebook page, it didn't seem to go over well. Friends and relatives alike seemed to start avoiding my personal page because they didn't want to hear about politics and religion.

That's right, I was one of those people that was afraid to try to wake people up, because I was afraid I would lose some relationships that I've been trying to develop on Facebook, my virtual neighborhood. Friends or relatives, I just wasn't ready to sacrifice my connections and re-connections. Not all the people I have "friended" on facebook would agree with my ideologies.

As a "compromise," I started a new page, which is now called "Johnny2k's America." It was the best I could do to make an effort to wake people up without losing friends along the way. It was a compromise, but I don't regret it.

My conscience is clear, and I am still trying to "wake my neighbors the hell up."  I'm not ashamed of my efforts. While avoiding the pitfalls of losing friends because of disagreements in ideologies, I have survived by giving my fellow patriots a way to shove a little information in the direction of those that aren't informed, without being offensive.

You should read every one of the columns and watch every one of the videos that is included in this WIFLI edition. But, even if you don't, there will be all the information you need to know to get out to inform and educate your
"neighbors." Do not depend on them finding the information by themselves. The ones that really need to know what is going on may not be keeping up. Only by you being informed will you be able to reach those that haven't yet heard the Truth. The Truth will set us free, and keep us free! It is still up to you. I'm just sayin'...

Welcome to this edition of Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing! What is WIFLI? You may be wondering what the acronym "WIFLI" means. I started out by calling these issues the Time 2 Escape Daily, but that didn't work out very well. I quickly learned that putting these issues together on a daily basis was a task I was unable to accomplish. To replace "Daily" in the title, I borrowed the acronym WIFLI, which literally means "When I Feel Like It." Putting together a post on this blog WIFLI works much better for my schedule, and for the higher quality of each issue that is eventually published! Erik Rush provides the epic introduction to this edition of the WIFLI, and explains why it is important for us to reach out to those that need to hear more than what they may ever encounter in their day-to-day existence with only the assistance of a water-cooler conversations with even more uninformed idiots...

Tell your neighbors: Time to wake the hell up
Exclusive: Erik Rush advocates stigmatizing the uninformed prior to November
From WND Commentary ~ By Erik Rush ~ Published July 11, 2012
ERIK RUSH
Millions who cast their votes this November will do so believing, as they have for many years, that they have a pretty good understanding of the issues at hand. The fact is that few have any idea at all what has really transpired in America over the last several decades, nor do they understand the true nature of the forces that have conspired to make this election into such a pivotal one.

The time for having reservations over telling casual acquaintances that they need to wake the hell up is over. People have been conditioned by design to believe that their superficial perceptions can be trusted, and they tend to have a certain amount of ego-involvement in the beliefs they have cultivated around them. This can no longer be tolerated on the grand scale to which it has been tolerated; it is this kind of intellectual indolence that helped to get us where we are.

Herman Cain explains why depending on the legacy mainstream media for your news will leave you with a large deficit of information that you will need to make a good decision when you vote in November.

Media imbalance: News they let you see
Herman Cain exposes press' questionable judgment on which stories are covered
From WND Commentary ~ By Herman Cain ~ Published Jul 8, 2012
HERMAN CAIN
Today, between Fox News Channel, talk radio, leading conservative blogs and now the new CainTV.com Internet network, stories like “Fast and Furious” – or the worst aspects of Obamacare, for example – have outlets to see the light of day. And because news can spread so quickly today via social media, these stories can be seen by a lot more people than just the direct audiences of these outlets.

So even if media imbalance, as practiced by the dinosaurs, results in ignoring a story, the story can still become known.

A problem, though, is low-information voters who often play a major role in deciding elections. These are the 20 percent in the middle of the electorate who don’t lean strongly toward one party or the other and still rely largely on traditional media to get their news. If these folks knew the real nature of “Fast and Furious,” or the real costs of Obamacare, or the true nature of our economic and fiscal situations, they would likely vote to send Obama packing in massive numbers.

But they won’t know any of that if they rely solely on the old-guard broadcast networks and print outlets. Media imbalance will see to it. That’s why organizations that can expose this information to the public must do so. News organizations that cover up stories that matter are no news organizations at all.

Barry's stories... And here Barry told the biggest story imaginable, just last week, that defines what he considers to be the what he expects his voters to believe, that the government will be the solution to all that ails this nation. Mychal was correct: We the People were listening.

Barry's stories: A chronicle of destruction
Exclusive: Mychal Massie responds to Obama's latest 'the dog ate my homework' excuse
From WND Commentary ~ By Mychal Massie ~ Published Jul 16, 2012
MYCHAL MASSIE
The country is going to hell in a hand basket specifically because of Obama’s pernicious permutation of our domestic and social policies – and the best he can come up with is: “When I think about … the mistake of my first term … [was forgetting that] the nature of this office is also to tell a story to the American people that gives them a sense of unity and purpose and optimism, especially during tough times.” (“Obama: My Biggest Mistake Was Not ‘Telling a Story,’Weekly Standard, July 12, 2012)

That is the most hebephrenic mea culpa I’ve heard in my life, in or out of politics. As an excuse it borders on “the dog ate my homework.” The truth is that you did tell a story, Barry – and We the People were listening.

Your promise to “fundamentally change” our nation was the story of your plan to transmogrify America into that which Erebus, Lenin and Marx would applaud, and people are awaking to that fact. We heard your story when your wife hissed through her toothy overbite that she had been ashamed of America her entire life, right up until you came on the scene.

In order to inform our neighbors, we must help them understand that there is a huge difference in the platforms of the two parties that will make up most of the total votes in November. Here are just a few examples of ideologies that you will never see the Democrats and Republicans compromise on.

No, the 2 parties are not the same
Exclusive: Phil Elmore puts excerpts of platforms side by side
From WND Commentary ~ By Phil Elmore ~ Published June 20, 2012
PHIL ELMORE
We must stand up for the United States Constitution. We must hold politicians to their claims. This starts by electing the party that stands, explicitly, for liberty, decency and individual rights. When those we elect for these reasons go on to fail us, we must immediately eject them from office and elect more representatives who stand for the correct ideals. We must not simply elect the “other guy” in the hope that something will change – for if we fight evil by electing those who actively advocate it, we have accomplished nothing.

There is a difference between Democrats and Republicans. That difference is found in what the two parties say they want to do. The only answer to the problems facing our nation is never again to elect a Democrat – while holding elected Republicans to a high standard and throwing them out of office when they fail to meet it. Only by standing against the Democrats, the party of abortion, the party of vote fraud, the party of gun control, the party of socialism, the party of surrender and appeasement in the face of our nation’s enemies, can we prevail.

Diana West has it right, we get one more chance. But in order to make a change in November, there is no doubt that our neighbors need a wake-up call. Once more, it is important to emphasize the kind of America we will have to live with, should we not take advantage of our last chance to get it right.

Ever-Bigger-Government America
Diana West: In November, we get one more chance to save the republic
From WND Commentary ~ By Diana West ~ Published July 5, 2012
DIANA WEST
Such fundamental transformation was a long time coming. Its course was largely set three quarters of a century ago during the 12-year reign of FDR, whose signature “New Deal” entrenched the Marxist (socialist, Leninist, progressive, collectivist, Alinskyite – take your pick) mindset in Ever-Bigger-Government America. In a sense, Barack Obama ranks only as the most audacious of FDR’s successors in his ideological drive to socialize the USA. As Obama himself explained in a 1995 interview with the Chicago Reader (unearthed by Obama biographer Stanley Kurtz), the “right-wing … individualistic bootstrap myth” needed replacing. “We must unite in collective action,” Obama said, “build collective institutions and organizations.”

That certainly describes SCOTUS-approved Obamacare.

Taking the long view, we might say the collectivists inspired by the Russian Revolution of 1917 have won. The individual has lost. The state has only grown, and liberty has only shrunk. The fireworks went off all right, but somehow, the home of the brave remains in the dark.

At least until November, when we get one more chance.

If you are not yet convinced that this year's 2012 Presidential election means a lot for the future of freedom, then reading this column by Judge Andrew Napolitano may give you a better understanding.

Bad days for freedom
Andrew Napolitano: 'Imagine Jefferson being told what to eat or stopped and frisked'

Imagine Jefferson being told what to eat or stopped and frisked on a whim. And then imagine the Supreme Court telling him that he must pay a tax if he fails to comport his personal private behavior as Congress – which doesn’t believe in privacy or personal freedom – commands.

Here is how you can tell that these are bad days for freedom: Does the government need your permission to violate your rights, or do you need the government’s permission to exercise them? The answer is painfully obvious.

Presently in America, what are we going to do about it?

In my heart, I know that I could never believe that success is only achievable with the help of government. In fact, it is just the opposite of what I believe. Hopefully, all Americans have the same opportunities, and that government programs would never favor any group of people over another... Well, even if that is not the case, there are people that just seem to make it on their own, despite the government "assistance" that is available!

And here I thought it was the role of government to make sure that nobody had an unfair advantage due to race, religion, gender, age, and whatever other minority "victims" there are.  I thought it was about keeping the playing field of opportunity to remain level.

Obama's view of a level playing field is by having the government being the officials that change the rules as we go, just to make sure the results we end up with are equal... And that can not and never will happen.

There will always be people that are a lot more passionate about finding a way to succeed in life. Success is NOT defined by what the government can provide with you with. It is ALL up to each individual, and their faith that the Lord has given them the tools they need. The government can never provide what our faith does!

Obama: Success is Only Achievable through Government
From GOPUSA "The Loft" ~ By Bobby Eberle ~ Published Jul 17, 2012 at 7:13 am

BOBBY EBERLE
What an incredible few days it has been. Barack Obama has been trying everything in his campaign... pulling ideas from the same, tired leftwing playbook used in the past. He has called for higher taxes. He is using class warfare. He is using character attacks rather than hitting the issues. But with just one speech, Obama showed that he far surpasses left wing presidents of the past. By implying that no American can be successful without government "help," Obama showed that it's impossible for him to lead, because he has no clue what the American Dream is.

It will be interesting to see in the upcoming weeks what the media have to say about Obama and his actions. Yes, they are all firmly in his corner. Yes, they buy into the same "big government" mentality as he does. But Obama is so far out of touch, one would think even some of the "normal" leftists would catch on.

In a speech on Friday, Obama -- whether he intended to or not -- blasted small business owners and entrepreneurs by saying that if you were successful, "somebody else made that happen." Incredible. Incredibly stupid. Incredibly out of touch.

Of course, President Obama would also tell us that the Peterson Farm Bros. didn't make the following video on their own, but because of the government providing them with the internet (that Al Gore invented), all of their skills (they gained from the public school system), and the government control of agriculture that provides them with their success and their profits in farming.

And of course, The Peterson Farm Brothers would beg to differ. I think you'll see who is right when you watch the following video, and it ain't the President:

Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Monday, Feb 13, 2012

Welcome to this edition of Time 2 Escape WIFLI!

What is WIFLI?
You may be wondering what the acronym "WIFLI" means. I started out by calling these issues the Time 2 Escape Daily, but that didn't work out very well. I quickly learned that putting these issues together on a daily basis was a task I was unable to accomplish. To replace "Daily" in the title, I coined the acronym WIFLI, which literally means "When I Feel Like It." Putting together a post on this blog WIFLI works much better for my schedule, and for the higher quality of each issue that is eventually published!
Based on the final piece that I included in this WIFLI edition in the OUTSIDE of the BOX section, I could probably be called insane, or at least, on my way there because of what I read and post. I posted several commentaries today that might seem to mean that I don't trust government. No, I'm totally sane; I'm just the messenger that is telling you about all those lunatics out there that are saying that our government is becoming a tyranny. Just don't tell anyone that I am buying into the message. Shhhh....

But, I have to wonder, will I be considered to also be insane if I said that we can defeat tyranny and stop the assassination attempt on our freedom? Is an optimistic viewpoint now a sign of insanity because we now have no chance of saving America? Is the desire for maintaining liberty in this country so futile that having any hope and taking action would be considered as a mental disorder? I hope that is not the case. But ... do you wonder if it could happen to you, too?

If I happen to disappear, you'll know why after you read this issue. I'm just sayin'...

Countdown! Iran's finger on nuclear trigger
2 warheads, payloads could be weaponized in weeks
From WND.com ~ By By Reza Kahlili ~ Published Feb 11, 2012

WASHINGTON – Iranian nuclear experts have completed the component for a nuclear bomb trigger, overcoming a major obstacle in obtaining the bomb, according to sources within Iran.

As reported last May, the Iranian nuclear and military industries, under the order of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, were to weaponize at least two warheads with a nuclear payload no later than next month.

Sources within the Revolutionary Guards reveal that the work on the trigger is taking place covertly under the control of the Guards in the cities of Darkhovin and Isfahan.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the main brain behind the Iranian nuclear bomb program, is guiding the project. Fakhrizadeh reportedly reports directly to Khamenei and is under tight security because of the assassination of other Iranian nuclear scientists.

Government doesn't work!
Exclusive: Patrice Lewis rips politicians of both parties for violating their oaths of office
From WND Commentary ~ By Patrice Lewis ~ Published Feb 10, 2012

PATRICE LEWIS
Lately I’ve been feeling quite depressed about the state of our nation. I guess I’m suffering from political burnout.

That’s an amazing thing when you consider I haven’t exactly immersed myself in politics. We don’t have television reception, and so I haven’t seen any televised debates. Nor have I made any real effort to listen to any of the candidates. It’s gotten to the point where I just don’t care.

This week I’ve been re-reading portions of Harry Browne’s excellent book “Why Government Doesn’t Work.” Harry Browne was the Libertarian Party candidate for president in 1996 and 2000. Naturally he never even got close to winning because he had the audacity to suggest that government, in its current incarnation, doesn’t work. Sheesh, no wonder he was never elected.

Yes, it is the most critical election
Henry Lamb urges Americans to suit up and pitch in to eradicate Marxism
From WND Commentary ~ By Henry Lamb ~ Published Feb 10, 2012

HENRY LAMB
Several of the Republican candidates have said that the 2012 elections are the most important elections in our lifetime. They are. The current powers in Washington, most of the media, as well as academia, want the nation to abandon, or at least to reinterpret, the U.S. Constitution to justify the Marxist idea that government should manage society. These folks are winning the battle.

They’re winning because they’ve been working at it for a century. “They” are the progressives, like Barack Hussein Obama, who actually believe that government is a better manager of society and the economy than are free people in a free market. Obama apparently believes that his position endows him with the wisdom to make right decisions, regardless of the fact that he has had no real-life experience at anything other than organizing street protests.

His ACORN training produced a professional politician with the skills to win every confrontation with complete confidence that the ends justify any means that may be required. Obama’s history of public service is a history of leaving Chicago’s streets bloody with the losses of people who never knew what hit them. In the Illinois Senate, he voted “present” 129 times in route to the U.S. Senate, where his most important job was to ridicule and embarrass the Bush administration. What a job he did on Bush in 2006 when the debt ceiling had to be raised.

Had enough government yet?
Exclusive: Roger Hedgecock notes, 'Liberty-loving Americans allowed creeping growth'
From WND Commentary ~ By Roger Hedgecock ~ Published Feb 12, 2012

ROGER HEDGECOCK
Most Americans are opposed to the federal government requiring them to buy a health insurance policy in which the terms of coverage will be dictated by the government and the cost will be dictated by the health insurance companies. But this dictate is the culmination of a trend of government dictates that has been building for years.

Liberty-loving Americans have allowed this creeping growth of government, and we are not better off because of it.

The prayer Jesus taught includes the plea, “Give us this day our daily bread.” Obama’s scientists want that bread to be government approved. Too much salt in the free-market bread, you know.

In California, the Air Quality Board has promulgated standards for bakeries that require scrubbers on the exhausts from ovens to protect us from air pollution caused by the smell of baking bread.

Obama’s experts also want to brand sugar a toxin, and the exhaled breath of every living creature on the planet a pollutant.

In these and thousands of other ways, governments – local, state and federal – have intensified their nanny state intrusions into every nook and cranny of our lives. The ruling elites sincerely believe there is no human activity that couldn’t be made better and safer by government regulation.

Obama's divide-and-conquer strategy
Exclusive: Joseph Farah dubs administration's latest transgression an 'impeachable offense'
From WND Commentary ~ By Joseph Farah ~ Published Feb 12, 2012

JOSEPH FARAH
Barack Obama is a not only an abortion zealot, he’s also a fascist control freak – determined to make government the ultimate arbiter of morality on all matters political and economic.

That’s the only conclusion one can reach from his efforts to force individuals like me, institutions like the Catholic Church, insurance companies and employers nationwide to provide “free” abortions, “free” sterilizations and “free” contraception to those who are part of any health insurance program in the U.S.

It’s a natural manifestation of Obamacare – and something advocates of the legislation assured would never happen as a result of passage.

It didn’t take very long to reveal the administration’s deceit.

There’s no compromising with this hideous plan.

Last week, in an effort to defuse what has become a constitutional crisis prompted by the administration’s edicts, Obama suggested no one’s moral compass would need to be adjusted from true north because he would simply require insurance companies to pay for the taking of innocent human life rather than religious institutions.

This misses the point of the objections by 180 degrees.

How the Media Attempt to Marginalize a Social Conservative
From GOPUSA ~ By Bobby Eberle in "The Loft" ~ February 13, 2012 1:46 pm

This past Sunday, GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum hit the political shows as candidates often do. Did the hosts focus on the pressing issues of jobs and the economy, the debt or the deficit? No. The focus was clearly on Santorum's positions as a social conservative. With Santorum's views established, the hosts at NBC and ABC tried to paint him as some sort of extremist. Their questions and efforts were nothing short of pathetic.

Just watch the video below in which NBC's "Meet the Press" host David Gregory actually asks Santorum if only single woman without children would be welcomed to work in a Santorum administration:

[See Video in article]

Santorum cracks a smile and provides an explanation to Gregory's outrageous question, but I sure wish a candidate or any other conservative would simply call these left-wingers out. That question was 1) stupid, 2) insulting, and 3) senseless. Santorum should have called him on it. Why do conservatives even go on these shows? The fact that Gregory asked it is enough to get the idea out there that Santorum may hold "extremist" positions. Ask the question... let the candidate deny the obvious. Mission accomplished: the question has been asked.

As noted in The Blaze, the idiocy was not confined to NBC. When Santorum moved over to ABC to speak on "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos, guess what Santorum was asked? He faced some standard election questions, then he was asked "what he would say to those who think his comments on radical feminism alienate women and make him an easier candidate to beat in the general election."

Private sector must lead recovery ~ By Herman Cain

The private sector is the engine of this economy, but putting more spending and regulations in the caboose of the train is not going to fuel the engine. So expecting this economy to grow faster by watching and hoping is an empty expectation.

Much of the public has been deceived into thinking that cutting tax rates reduces revenue into the Treasury, and that it only helps the rich. The experience of the 1960s and 1980s, when Kennedy and Reagan were in the White House, respectively, debunks that notion.

Watching this economy struggle over the next 18 months is going to be especially painful for the unemployed, and those businesses that are barely holding on for survival. And, yes, the private sector will have to take the lead when we properly boost the engine.

Until then, we might as well watch grass grow, because that's about all the green this economy is going to see.

Well, here's the thing... Herman Cain makes the case about what needs to be done to get the economy going again. There is no doubt in my mind that it will take the private sector to stimulate the economy, and that Herman's solutions would be the right thing to do. But, I do have some questions... Oh, wait, not about what Herman wants to do, but regarding what President Obama seems to be trying to do.

Here's what is bugging me: How could the person that was touted to be so brilliant be such an absolute idiot when it comes to getting the economy going again? All that Herman Cain explains in this column are commonly accepted principles when it comes to encouraging growth in the economy. Businesses need certainty in the tax code. What will happen following the extension of the Bush tax cuts? The clear intent that Herman Cain shows to cut or eliminate the taxes for businesses investing capital in starting or expanding a business would be the jolt that this economy needs at this time.

In the mean time, Obama's rhetoric and lack of a real solution is not very encouraging for businesses, and that stymies any economic growth. His agenda sends a chill down the back of even the most courageous of entrepreneurs. What I can't quite comprehend is how a President would make so many wrong decisions when it comes to getting our economy going again. In fact, from what I've seen so far, Obama's policies are what is creating the stagnation!

But wait! Isn't Obama supposed to be so magnificently intelligent? Shouldn't he be aware of the economic principles that would move our economy forward, and not backward?

What Herman Cain wrote in this column is mostly what I learned in college in Economics 101 and my basic Business Administration classes that I took. So, there is only one thing that I can assume from Obama's actions so far: He is either really stupid, or he doesn't want our economy to improve. I don't believe he is THAT stupid.... So, maybe, he just doesn't want We the People to be able to start and/or expand a business and succeed. That would make Communism look bad! I'm just sayin'...

Private sector must lead recovery
HERMAN CAIN

A senior Obama administration official said recently that the private sector will have to lead this economic recovery. He's right! But the private sector cannot do it unless government gets out of the way. The Obama administration's policies have increased the size of the federal government, increased regulatory barriers and dramatically increased the national debt.

Most Americans sitting around the kitchen table knew that we could not spend and regulate our way to prosperity. But the president and the Democrat-controlled Congress at the time did it anyway. And now, after nearly $1 trillion in government spending, the economy is still stalled. Namely, 1.8 percent growth in Gross Domestic Product in the first quarter of 2011is anemic, and a 9.1 percent unemployment rate continues to be disappointing to the nearly 15 million people who are still unemployed.

Our national GDP could easily be growing at 5 percent or more, with the top tax rates for businesses and individuals set at 25 percent and made permanent until we replace the entire tax code mess. And taking the capital gains tax rate to zero is just the fuel that the small business part of our economic engine needs.

It sure would be nice to hear an unemployment rate report of under 5 percent again, which would mean at least 7.5 million people could be back to work. It would be more than just music to their ears. They might even have some real hope again.

"Hope and change" became spend and regulate in the Obama administration. And now, the president and the Democrats want us to "watch and hope." Simply extending the tax rates for two years with a 2 percent one-year payroll tax holiday for employees is not going to tickle this economy back to prosperity.

With all due respect, Mr. President, there is no hope that this economy will turn itself around. It will remain stalled because there are no meaningful tax cuts, there is no regulatory relief and there is still the uncertainty about what tax rates will be in 2013.
