America's uprising against insiders and media ~ By Armstrong Williams

Armstrong Williams says press has 'totally lost touch with reality'
Make no mistake about it: This is the year of the outsider. Dr. Ben Carson and Donald Trump are not going away. Mainstream candidates will not be able to carry this election, despite the best efforts of their friends in the mainstream media. The people are in an uprising against the status quo, and the uprising won’t be stopped, muted or co-opted, as it has been in the past. People want something radically different. It is high time the mainstream media get used to it.
I know what Armstrong is saying, but I don't think that the Washington insider label applies to Senators Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio as much as it would to many of the current and former governors still seeking the GOP nomination for President. I have to believe that when the establishment candidates and media are bashing them, it shows Cruz and Rubio may be the true Conservatives we are looking for. It virtually proves it, actually. In that MSM joke they called a "debate," hosted by CNBC, both Cruz and Rubio managed to show the backbone to stand up to the Establishment media and politicians.

I should just say thank you to CNBC for doing the lousy job in hosting the latest GOP debate, which made it possible to see the qualities of the two GOP candidates they love to disparage and ignore. Just sayin'...

America's uprising against insiders and media
The latest Republican primary debate, moderated by CNBC, provided the clearest evidence yet of how disconnected the mainstream media have become in this country. The debate was full of petty provocations, irrelevant topics (should the government regulate fantasy football, really?!) and loaded "gotcha" interrogation-style questions that bared the media's consistently liberal bias and smug disregard for…

Jade Helm Will Be In My Town Next Week ~ By Devvy Kidd

From within the article by Devvy:
There is a difference between hysteria and being concerned and wanting answers. This article is also typical of what's been swirling around the Internet:

Chronology Of All ANP Jade Helm 15 Articles, Related Walmart Closings, And Military Movement Across America

"Since March 13, 2015 when All News PipeLine received and published the leaked Jade Helm 15 documents, a firestorm blew throughout the internet with Alternative Media exposing every possible connection, theory, danger and highlighting other disturbing military training exercises happening on US soil, many Americans have "woken up" to the very real possibility that the US government is actively preparing to lock down the country and declare martial law, whether it will happen during these planned exercises from July to September, or if these exercises are just one of the preparations for a later event.

"Below we will list the chronology of ANP coverage on Jade Helm by both Stefan Stanford, Susan Duclos and a reader submission, the strange announcement of multiple Walmart closings, some in Jade Helm states and the possible connection to Jade Helm, and the massive military movement being seen across America since Jade Helm was exposed to the public."

The link above has a whole list of stories about Jade Helm; no need to duplicate them here.
This article by Devvy Kidd is a good one for people to read that are not aware of JADE HELM 15. If you aren't yet familiar with JADE HELM 15, don't feel bad, it isn't something that is discussed on any of the mainstream news sources, not even on Fox News Channel (that I've seen, and I watch a lot of Fox News!).  However, you can find a treasure-trove of information on the alternative news sources and talk radio.
The Internet has been raging like an inferno over this large special ops joint exercise to be held July 15 - September 15, 2015. I've read dozens and news items about Jade Helm. Web sites and radio hosts whipping people into a frenzy. On April 30, 2015, Dave Hodges, posted this: Closed Walmarts To Be Guerilla Warfare Staging Areas in Response to Invasion
Here is a video on youtube from TRUTHstreammedia:

I guess that you couldn't include me in the "whipped into a frenzy" crowd, but that doesn't mean that I don't have some particular concerns, some that Devvy covered in this column. My words of caution is that you need to be sure you aren't whipped into a frenzy just so some entrepreneur out there can sell more survival gear to you.

Thankfully, we do have that First Amendment, that pesky clause of the document that the Elites of the Shadow Government and New World Order would rather we didn't have. We can consider ourselves fortunate that we are free to gather and disseminate information, and free to listen to talk radio hosts, even if it is Alex Jones (Infowars.com) Just sayin'...

Jade Helm Will Be In My Town Next Week

By Devvy Kidd

July 12, 2015

From NewsWithViews.com

I live in Big Spring (West) Texas between Midland and Lubbock. Much to the shock of many in our small town, in April we found out Big Spring will be a 'Jade Helm 15' exercise location.

In early May military helicopters started flying over my house here and there for about a week. I speculated they were looking at the terrain for training spots. Although, I guess according to this article I'm supposed to be terrorized:

Jade Helm Personnel Are Terrorizing Small Texas Communities: "Residents of Big Spring, Texas are reporting the “scarysight of helicopters and tanks arriving in advance of Jade Helm, a military exercise that has prompted concerns amongst some that U.S. troops are preparing for civil unrest in America."

I have not seen any tanks. Yet. Texans scared of a few helicopters flying over? It does happen every once in a while. About 90 miles south of here is San Angelo where Goodfellow AFB is located and 120 miles east of here is Abeline where Dyess AFB is located. We don't swoon over a few helicopters.

We were not told about this 'event' until it was a done deal. While I wouldn't say there was a revolt, some are upset and vocal about it; hard to guess how many. Our idiot mayor told the local rag newspaper military officials had negotiated contracts with local landowners to conduct Jade Helm 15 exercises. No landowners are being forced to have training on their property. Any training on public land was worked out with regional authorities. A couple of landowners were quoted in the newspaper saying they would refuse to allow any military exercises on their land - not even for money. Hard to say how many also took that position.

Gingrich: The last 'not-Romney' standing ~ By Tom Tancredo

As a former college professor, did he lead a battle to curtail federal involvement in higher education? No. Energy policy? No – to this day he still supports ethanol subsides, has endorsed cap and trade, and did that awful video on global warming with Nancy Pelosi.

Video provided by Cardsplayer4life on Apr 17, 2008

So, now what?

Do we just watch the Republican Party split and implode?

Is the Tea Party really dead like the Mainstream Media, and even Fox News, is telling us?

Please tell me, Donald Trump isn't our only hope!

We can NOT afford to lose this election and see four MORE years of this Barack Hussein Obama nightmare!

We need a George Washington, and Newt ain't the guy. So, we need to find somebody to unite behind, don't we?

Can we? WILL WE?

YOU decide!  I'm just sayin'....

Gingrich: The last 'not-Romney' standing

I want to be perfectly clear: I have nothing against buying silver. In fact, I like silver. But don't tell me it's as good as gold.

Newt Gingrich is riding high in the polls as Herman Cain's support melts away. But what are we getting – gold, silver or brass?

Suddenly, Washington pundits and pollsters are selling Gingrich as the gold standard for "insurgent conservatism" in contrast to Romney's "cool pragmatism." But let's put aside for another day (say, Iowa on Jan. 10) the comparison of Gingrich to other candidates and just ask ourselves some basic questions. Is Newt Gingrich a conservative? Would he implement a conservative agenda as president?

The sad fact is, after a 30-plus year career in politics, we still don't know what we are getting with Gingrich because he has been all over the map – pardon me, all over the galaxy – in his policy proposals.

Gingrich's eclectic unpredictability does not mean he is not greatly to be preferred over a second term for Barack Hussein Obama. What it does mean is that Gingrich would likely have a hard time defeating Obama.

Herman Cain: Rocket fuel for America ~ By Star Parker

A reader who commented on the column stated: "What I would give to actually have a President who loves America AND our precious freedoms! Herman Cain certainly intrigues this voter!!"

That says it all!

After carefully reading and spending considerable time contemplating on this column, I have no doubt that Star Parker has it right, and the Republican establishment, and one of their supporters, Mona Charen, have it wrong.  The establishment elite are forgetting about who really brought about the Tea Party Movement, and the landslide victories that propelled Republicans back to power in the House and ended Nancy Pelosi's reign: American people that want to revive freedom in the USA! As Star writes, "The Republican Party establishment needs to start listening to grass-roots Americans and asking why no one is exciting them like Herman Cain."

It is a decision that Republican primary voters and caucus attendees need to make soon. Do we want the political experience of the Establishment's pick, Mitt Romney, or somebody that can revive the spirit of freedom and the wonderful outcome that liberty will have on our economy? It's as simple as 9-9-9! Traci, the writer of the comment above, represents the view that I happily share.

It's not just conservatives who are frustrated today. It is every single American who longs to see their nation regain its vitality, restoring freedom and prosperity at home and shining the light of human potential across the planet.

What is particularly frustrating is that the party out of power, the Republican Party, is supposed to be carrying the torch for these values. But it's barely happening. The Party has become bogged down with careerists, rear-view mirror thinkers and its own establishment of inside-the-beltway elite.

Nothing could speak more to this problem than establishment attitudes toward the remarkable Herman Cain.

Take, for instance, a recent column by conservative columnist Mona Charen.

After extolling Cain's compelling virtues – his rags to riches success story, his love of America and the values that make it great, and the courageous ideas he has put on the table in his campaign – Ms. Charen dismisses his candidacy for president.

"[H]e lacks the kind of experience the office requires … political skills … necessary in a political job."

Others who dismiss Cain point to his lack of national organization essential for raising the kind of money a presidential campaign needs.

I just don't see it this way.

Now is not the time to settle ~ By Erik Rush

While Romney receiving the nomination is by no means certain, it is imperative that we remain mindful of the fact that the elite GOP leadership has the potential to be every bit the enemy as the Democrat leadership. For decades, they could have been sounding the alarm, calling Americans' attention to the fundamental transformation (pun intended) that Democrats were bringing about via liberal (socialist) policies. Instead, they feathered their own nests, allowing generations of Americans to become less astute and less informed as to how manifestly dangerous these policies were. Many became what they beheld, and are now indistinguishable from the socialist elites in the Democratic Party.

Now, they would place yet another lukewarm Republican in the Oval Office, one who will be no better than the last two Republican presidents we endured. There's little doubt that some GOP power players are closet socialists themselves, but a strong contingent simply believes that "playing it safe" with someone who is not identified as a strong conservative will somehow win the day – like Bob Dole or John McCain.

This feeble logic has long since been nullified, and at this juncture more than ever, the American people do not want to settle for someone who is only a click or two on the political dial to the right of Obama. The voters who turned the tide during the midterm election want someone who is – at the very least – going to make every attempt to undo what our tin pot premier of a president has done.

I finally found the column I was looking for that would support and defend what I wrote a few weeks back in my commentary about "Dear skeptics and critics ... ~ By Herman Cain." In my remarks, I wrote:
When I hear the pundits say there is nothing that is exciting about the current field of potential Republican candidates, they are making a huge mistake. Really, I'd much rather hear them saying that it's hard to choose amongst the strong talent that is taking on the challenge to beat the current incumbent! I can't believe that they are trying to throw another election! What's wrong with them? And do you really want to listen to the establishment that ended up giving us John McCain?
In this column, Erik Rush mentions some very important points that we need to keep in mind. Erik reminds us that if we are going to be able to make Barack Obama a one-term President, Conservative Republican voters - "The voters who turned the tide during the midterm election" - need a candidate that we can "really get behind." Otherwise, it will be the same old story, and as Erik states, we'd be faced with voting for the least of two evils once again, like we had to do with McCain or Dole.

The establishment elites in the
Republican party would pick Erik's cat if it turned out it was progressive enough. However, a writer (signed in as divemustgo) in the facebook comments at the end of Erik's column pointed out that Erik's cat would not suit the needs of the RINOs (Republicans in name only):
I'm liking Erik's cat over Romney at this point.

I asked Erik's cat what he thought of Obamacare and he said, "Ow." Then I asked him which Chinese dictator Obama most resembled and he said, "Mow."

With strong arguments like those, I think Erik's cat could beat Mitt in a debate, paws down.
So, the question remains if the GOP leadership will once again give us another lukewarm "least-of-two-evils" nominee, or will the Republican voters take charge and nominate a Conservative? Is there really a way to overcome the establishment elite in the GOP and MSM to keep them from choosing a candidate just a couple clicks to the right of Obama on the political dial?

There was another brilliant observation, by Debbie Shaw O'Bar, in the comments at the end of the column that may answer those questions. To quote her: "A big prob for us in '08 is that LESS THAN 12% of registered Republicans even voted in the primaries!" Yes! That is a major problem, and it is how somebody like John McCain became the Republican nominee. In order to defeat the establishment elite's choice, Conservative registered Republicans are going to need to get to the primaries and caucuses in early 2012 in much larger numbers than has happened in the past.

The bottom line
is, as the title of Erik's column suggests, that now isn't the time to settle for whoever the establishment elite pushes on us. To win the general election and defeat Barack Obama, we need a candidate that we can get very excited about in November of 2012. This country desperately needs a Conservative leader, not a reader. Should we get anybody that is anything less, it wouldn't surprise me if the leading write-in vote is "Erik's cat" in November 2012.  I'm just sayin'...

There are many fundamental facts of life that are simpler than we humans tend to make them. These are far simpler still than recognized "experts" would have us believe they are; this is because they often stand to receive ego gratification and/or power as a result of so doing.

Geopolitics, for example. Something as simple as "the law of the jungle" is all one really needs to comprehend in order to grasp a working knowledge of geopolitics. If you're weak, you can be taken advantage of; if you're strong, this is less likely. The reason that the rest of the world was able to enjoy the fruits of America's innovation and progress (as well as our charity) over the last 150 years was because we had the might to preserve that which we had built.

Then there's economics. If you consume less than you produce, you have a surplus. If you consume more than you produce, you have problems. Anyone who offers a more complicated or convoluted assessment than that probably has a self-serving agenda.

The selection of a presidential candidate is a lot like that, too – even though the 2012 election cycle promises to be like no other. Sometimes you have a candidate you can really get behind, and sometimes it's a choice between the lesser of two evils. In other unfortunate instances, it just doesn't matter; voters will be screwed no matter what they do. In a perfect America, of course, the first example would be the norm.

America is currently gravitating toward the European model, in which the last of the above examples will be the norm forever after. Right now, factions in the Republican Party are trying to find one of the first, someone we can get fired up about. Unfortunately, there are also those in the GOP who would make it another 2008 race, pitting the lesser of two evils against one another yet again.
