Stop This Madness Now! ~ Ep. 1235 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode on youtube.com/Bongino or in his Show Notes:
In this episode, I address the outrageous comments by these two liberal lawmakers regarding the failed lockdowns. I also address new information regarding the deep hole John Brennan is in for his role in the Spygate scandal.
There is obviously a very good reason why The Dan Bongino Show is as popular as it is. He has such an amazing amount of passion in his research and what he talks about. This episode is a prime example of that passion.  Dan had my full attention, with the blinders on, right from the ringing of the bell by Joe.

The knives came out early in this episode. First, we get to see what a dope that Governor Andrew Cuomo is. The arrogance was seeping out of him like a very, very ripe banana being pealed. What type of person would say the things that Gov. Cuomo said to a reporter, on video? That a person can go get an "essential" job if they are unemployed? It's enough to bake my bagels, for sure. But then, Dan gets extremely passionate about the affects on people's lives because of the shutdown. Yes, I'd say, for good reason. Our bagels weren't just baked; they were nuked. Dan is right, that the people that made the decisions to close down our economy, leading to the unemployment of around 25 million people (so far); decisions that were not in the least bit thought out.

Well, look, I know some people out there reading this blogs don't always have the time available to watch all of the episodes, from beginning to end.  When Dan is discussing Spygate, sometimes, it can get very overwhelming, especially if you aren't familiar with all of the names of the people involved.  Long-time listeners of Dan have been familiarized with many of the players in all of the Spygate hoax to remove the President from office.  That being said, Dan has a pretty good segment about one of the major dirt-bags involved in the Russian Collusion hoax that you really don't want to miss.  You'll find out why it may be time for John Brennan, the CIA Director under Barack Obama, to panic.  Was Brennan the puppet master, as Dan asks?

Finally, Some Positive News ~ Ep. 1208 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Bongino Show's description of this episode on youtube.com/Bongino:
In this episode, I address the likely path ahead for your job and the economy in the midst of the Coronavirus threat. I also address the hapless media and their awful efforts to sell us propaganda from China. I discuss a piece of troubling video about your child’s education and I debunk another liberal myth about the election.
I think that we can all agree that a constant barrage of bad news, from any source, can lead to depression. Depression can lead to health problems.  "We don't need 24 hour doom and gloom," Dan says.  So, in this episode, Dan starts off with positive news, something we all could use some of right now.

Maybe the top take-away from this  episode was when Dan explains that the FDA is doing two things, when there should be just one: Determining the safety of a drug, and determining the efficacy of the drug. The safety of the drug should be their only duty.  The efficacy of the drug, what it is being used for and whether or not it could help in treatment, should be determined by the doctor, with the patient's approval.  In other words, Chloroquine with Azithromycin could be a huge new treatment for Coronavirus, once all the research is in and the FDA approves it for that use.  Also, a new home testing kit may soon be in use, which will help out for those unable to get into the doctor to be tested for Coronavirus, if there are symptoms that the patient has that could indicate being ill with the virus.

And then the segment comes along, where Dan blasts the mainstream media for being such useful idiots for the Chinese propaganda, especially when it comes to NOT naming the Coronavirus, "The China Virus," or "Wuhan Coronavirus," or whatever, because it is "so racist." Dan calls it the "Fake News Block" for the amount of malfeasance that comes from their reporting.  The media on the Left can report news that is never fact checked.  Their lazy base will never do that, but rather, just keep the fake stories (myths) continue to spread, just like the Chinese Coronavirus.  No, we AREN'T going to call it the "Bat Virus" as one useful idiot in the MSM (Richard Engle of NBC) claimed would avoid extreme racism... and that the bat doesn't speak Chinese. Wow...

Highly recommended to depend on Dan Bongino for more upbeat and truthful news, in my humble opinion!

WIFLI Briefing for Jan 24, 2013 - Selling out America

It has been a very long time since the last post on this blog. I owe you an explanation for the absence of new entries in this blog. It has been four months since the last post on September 23, 2012!

Back on May 13, 2012, I decided to start a Facebook page, which is now known as Johnny2k's America. It was just an experiment to begin with. But, as time went on, I began refining it, and found it was a quick and easy way to share information that promotes freedom with the cyber-world, especially on Facebook.

But as time went on, building an audience for the page was frustrating me more and more. I became obsessed with the endeavor, and it was in September 2012 that I went over the edge, and became entirely focused on the Facebook page, and ignored this venue completely.

Around the beginning of this new year, 2013, I finally realized that I should be utilizing every cyber venue imaginable, and decided to get back to my blogging endeavors, along with getting back to more tweeting on my Twitter account!

While deciding on what I wanted to do with this blog, procrastination set in. I have kept up on my Facebook endeavor, and put this renewed desire on the back burner. I spent the last three weeks trying to decide on a way to revise this venue and hopefully improve it. I never came up with the perfect plan! It came down to the decision to "JUST DO IT!" - and I'll revise it along the way.

In the future, at least for this blog, please do not expect a lot of text written by me, as this post contains. Actually, this blog will be concentrating on what others have to say, as it was originally intended. The Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefings will once again - hopefully - guide you to the topics that we need to keep from being buried by the mainstream press. Just as I've done in the past with this blog, I'll make every effort to focus on the things that the New Media - that's us, the citizen journalists - need to keep focused on, rather than being distracted by the dangerous diversions that are provided to us, with the intention of making us forget what we are really fighting for in the first place: Our Freedom!

And to start it off, in this new beginning, let's look at what our national debt of about $16.5 trillion could lead to, via one of my friends and favorite columnists, Erik Rush. Should we worry about who we are indebted to? Could China have an influence on limiting our freedom? I'm just askin'...

Welcome to this edition of Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing!

What is WIFLI?
You may be wondering what the acronym "WIFLI" means. I started out by calling these issues the Time 2 Escape Daily, but that didn't work out very well. I quickly learned that putting these issues together on a daily basis was a task I was unable to accomplish. To replace "Daily" in the title, I borrowed the acronym WIFLI, which literally means "When I Feel Like It." Putting together a post on this blog WIFLI works much better for my schedule, and for the higher quality of each issue that is eventually published!

Obama: Selling out America – literally
January 16, 2013:  Erik Rush warns of reported deal with China to take over U.S. lands
It is the Chinese who are pushing for the disarming of the American populace. They do not want to bear the brunt of the backlash from the American public when their work and aspirations are exposed. Three weeks ago, I was told that “this will happen in weeks, not months,” and it is now occurring.

So much for our curiosity as to why in the midst of our economic woes, Obama is so vigorously capitalizing on the Sandy Hook massacre to advance what will certainly be draconian and unconstitutional measures relative to firearms. Obama’s gun-control plan includes at least 23 different executive actions – bypassing Congress and prompting at least one GOP lawmaker to suggest impeachment proceedings if Obama acts in this manner.

Obama and the Chinese infiltration
January 23, 2013: Erik Rush envisions intentional ignition of 'full-blown domestic unrest'

Personally, I have counted Obama as a devil for a long time. I was fortunate enough to have commenced my study of him before most, and I can find few things more contemptible than his being able to look America in the eye (as it were) and quote the founders as well as Scripture, having done what he has done – not to mention what he has in store.

Keep your lamps lit ~ By Patrice Lewis

Patrice is consistently straightforward. This column is no exception.

Once again, Harold Camping, now retired, came up with another false prophecy about the end of the world right after the previous one on May 21, 2011 that obviously didn't happen on October 21, 2011 as he fortold. That is obviously a good thing. I'm not ready for the end of the world. There are lives I can still touch.

Being a "prepper"? Having everything that I would need to survive should the global economy "go to hell in a hand-basket," or should there be a great war in the Middle East? The fact is, there could be all kinds of disasters that could happen, and there is no way I can be prepared for a very long time. I'd be toast.

But, if there is nothing else that I can do, I am assured of being spiritually prepared. Because of my lack of income that would be required for a long-term - or actually, anything over a week or two - survival plan, I guess there isn't any other choice. Spiritual preparation is my only option.

This is why I think Patrice Lewis was being very straightforward about the topic of preparation in this piece. I doubt it will matter if people have a few guns, a lot of ammunition, a storage of food for a year.... It may not matter. The fact is, spiritual preparation will need to be the main objective for many of us.

Our days may be numbered, but we do not know when, not even if you can predict the collapse of the global economy within a few days. However, there are things you can do to keep your lamp lit.

If you don't mind, I'll do what I can to help you understand that you can "survive" whatever comes at us, from at least the spiritual aspect. You can be good to people. You can spread the message of the Gospel, the story of God's LOVE for us. Believe me, people need to hear it. People need to have plenty of the lamp oil on hand. The good news is that you can give away that lamp oil for free.

You can thank Patrice Lewis for inspiring me just a little more today.

Keep your lamps lit!

Well, another miscalculated Day of Judgment has come and gone, and another false prophet who tried to predict Judgment Day is left with egg on his face. I'll never know why people feel the need to try and outsmart God in predicting the end of the world in direct opposition to Scripture, but there you are. I guess if Jesus had to warn us about such things 2,000 years ago, there was a strong tendency even back then to add up the number of "T's" in the book of Isaiah, divide by the amount of time it takes to hop around Jerusalem on one foot and multiply by the number of Tuesdays in the year 2012 (along with other numerical hocus-pocus) and conclude the world will end on May 21 or whatever.

Keeping the Lamp Lit
So what are we explicitly instructed to do, according to Scripture? Keep watch. Be prepared. Be ready. Always keep sufficient lamp oil on hand because you never know when the bridegroom will come.

So smart people keep their spiritual oil plentiful at all times.

Then there are the people who like to keep their physical lamp oil on hand as well. That would be the wacky subculture known as Preppers. After all, since we never know when the financial day of judgment is going to happen, we Preppers like to be ready.

The urge to be prepared has recently sharpened for millions of people as we've watched not only our own country's problems increase, but the problems of the rest of the world as well. America is toppling under debt. North Africa is in shambles and moving ever closer to Shariah law. Europe is about to implode financially and drag who-knows-what down with it. China is not the bastion of financial stability it would like us to believe.

In other words, the economic bottom could fall out from under us at any moment. When that happens, non-Preppers would be as foolish as the virgins who forgot to stock lamp oil, because lamp oil will shoot through the roof in terms of price and scarcity.

We cannot predict the Day of Judgment, so it's best to be constantly prepared for it. Nor can we predict the economic collapse of our nation … but it's no longer a matter of IF, it's a matter of WHEN. So wise people keep their pantries stocked.

Sudden-death economics ~ By Herman Cain

I would have had The Hermanator's column posted here a couple of days ago, but found myself dealing with a crashed hard drive instead. Fortunately, Herman's column was not time-sensitive, as he is writing about a situation that is on-going.

Or, perhaps the hard drive catastrophy was just my excuse so I could put off the posting of this column, for the fact that it is a scary topic. And I don't think that would be the only person around that wants to avoid what may be imminent and present danger to this country. I am not sure if many people have really considered what could happen to America should there be a financial collapse. But, if you think about it, should the economy of the United States collapse, I am sure the global economy would be quick to follow. And that is the very scary part of the potential financial collapse, a very possible scenario.

And knowing what I know about economics, I am wondering how the people running the government could not possibly understand what is facing this country economically. I would think that they would know that history shows that tax rate decreases have actually led to an increase in revenue (see "The Historical Lessons of Lower Tax Rates" which Herman links to in the FULL column). It is why I still hold the opinion that Obama and his administration DOES know what is going on, and that it could only be an intentional attempt to destroy this country - for what ever sinister reason they may have. Just sayin'...

Admittedly, this is not an inspiring or entertaining topic. In fact, it is downright scary. It is even scarier that a large number of voters are equally oblivious and blind to this clear and present financial danger. What happened in Greece and other European countries can happen here.

The big difference is that Uncle Sam does not have a "sugar daddy" to bail us out.

The 2010 congressional elections are sudden death for control of the House of Representatives. If real Republicans take control, there is some real hope of slowing down the destruction of our economy.

This is a serious crisis, and the elected so-called leaders are not listening. I believe the voters are listening. They will remember in November.

Our economy is on a government-induced lose-lose trajectory of financial destruction between federal spending and tax revenue. It's a Mathematically Assured Depression (MAD). The only unanswered question is when.

– Herman Cain, March 9, 2009, commentary
I do not enjoy bad news predictions. But the president, his administration, Congress and the major mainstream broadcast media are focused on everything except the coming financial disaster we face. It's not that the other issues are not critical. The financial crisis could be catastrophic.

The Congressional Budget Office issued another warning last week that the growing federal debt is unsustainable! It is a real crisis! As stated in the agency report, "A growing level of federal debt would increase the probability of a sudden fiscal collapse."

This did not just start under the Obama administration, but it has clearly accelerated during this administration. Consider the following statistics:

When President Obama took office in January 2009, the national debt was $9.5 trillion, which is nearly $32,000 for every man, woman and child living in this country. The national debt as of this writing is nearly $14 trillion, which is $45,000 for every man, woman and child living in this country. That's a historic increase in a historic short period of time!

That debt does not die when we die. Our children and grandchildren will have to pay our foreign creditors back, if we can avoid a total financial collapse.

As the president and Congress continue to spend like crazy, they continue to pay lip service to wanting to get spending under control. Their words do not match their actions.

For example, Senate Democrats tried to pass a $30 billion "drop in the bucket" package to help stimulate lending to small businesses. More than $600 billion of the stimulus bill has not worked, so the Democrats wanted to throw another $30 billion on top of the $846 billion stimulus spending. The majority of Republicans voted against it because it was new spending, when the money could have been taken out of unspent stimulus funding.

Of course, the president blamed the Republicans for being partisan obstructionists.

Sustainability 101 ~ By Joseph Farah

I am wondering how many of the people that read this column will understand what Joseph is saying. He says that he doesn't "believe the average dolt who considers himself a part of the progressive left actually wants tyranny." However, what about those that are in power, like Obama, Reid, and Pelosi? Do they really feel that ObamaCare and our national debt can possibly be sustainable? Are they just stupid as a rock, or do they have an purposeful agenda that will bring tyranny to America? Just sayin'...
I don't think they're stupid and ignorant.

I think they genuinely believe in government force. I think they genuinely believe America's founders had it wrong. I think they genuinely believe the U.S. Constitution is obsolete.

I believe they actually think that freedom is "unsustainable."

Actually, they're right about that – but only if we fail to remove them and their ilk from positions of power in American government and throughout all our major cultural institutions.

Have you ever noticed how much progressives like to invoke the term "sustainability" to support their agenda of draconian government intervention into our lives and liberties?

We must stop producing the perfectly harmless and vital gas known as carbon dioxide because it is changing the planet's climate in ways that are "unsustainable." That's what they say.

We must stop development of almost all kinds (except for their homes and businesses, of course), because we're ravaging the ecosystems in a way that is "unsustainable." That's what they say.

We must stop drilling for oil and mining for coal and building nuclear-power plants because it just leads to more consumption, which is "unsustainable." That's what they say.

We've got to bring all the wilderness under the control of the government because it will be exploited in private hands in a way that is "unsustainable." That's what they say.

I could go on and on with examples of the way the progressive left uses – or, should I say, "misuses" – the term.

I personally think "sustainability" is an important word – one we should actually consider in making public policy.

For instance, in two years, the U.S. national debt will rival the nation's gross domestic product.

That is an example of unsustainable economic policy. There is no way, short of a major "correction," like a Depression, that the U.S. can pay off its debt under those circumstances. Yet, nobody on the progressive left looks at the economic policy driving the rise of the national debt and the falling gross domestic product and concludes publicly: "Hey, this is an unsustainable policy!"

Why is that?

Why doesn't the progressive left look at what is happening with Europe's economic crisis, driven by a limitless-welfare-state mentality in which public benefits keep rising and productivity keeps falling, and recognize those policies are the same misguided initiatives it is pushing here in the United States? Why don't any of them say, "Hey, this is an unsustainable policy!"?

Why doesn't the progressive left look at the horrors it has inflicted on two generations of American families with no-fault divorce laws and incentives for unmarried teenage girls to become mothers and the teaching of moral relativism in the schools and recognize, "Hey, this is an unsustainable policy!"?

I could go on and on with an endless list of unsustainable policies and initiatives promoted by the progressive left without a thought as to their destructive outcomes.

Remember this the next time you hear that word from someone on the progressive left – "sustainability."

They simply don't even comprehend the meaning of the word. Indeed, the progressive left is the political master of unsustainable policies. Everything it promotes is unsustainable – except with the tyrannical force of government and the loss of all liberties.

Now, I don't believe the average dolt who considers himself a part of the progressive left actually wants tyranny. I suspect most of them are simply misinformed and misguided about the consequences of the ideas they push.

Barack Obama: A black Svengali ~ By Erik Rush

Right off the bat, I had to refer to reference sources to find out who this Svengali guy was in order to make sense of this column. It became painfully clear once I read this from Wikipedia:
Svengali is the name of a fictional character in George du Maurier's 1894 novel Trilby. A sensation in its day, the novel created a stereotype of the evil hypnotist that persists to this day.
Also from Wiki was the following:
The word "svengali" has entered the language meaning a person who with evil intent manipulates another into doing what is desired.
Dictionary.com defines Svengali as a noun, meaning "a person who completely dominates another, usually with selfish or sinister motives."

Now that we know what Svengali means, there should be little doubt that Barack Hussein Obama is our modern-day Svengali. In Erik's column, he mentions the unsustainable spending and insurmountable debt that is accumulating at an alarming rate, along with the lack of security on our border and out-of-control illegal immigration that could lead to violence in the Southwest.

But I have one more thing to show you, which should result in having no doubt about Obama being a Svengali, and a very Machiavellian one at that. Watch this video, and then read Erik's column:

May 26, 2010 - Is the Gulf Oil Spill the DeepWatergate?

Video provided by TheREALjohnny2k

As President Obama delivered his florid commencement speech before the graduating class at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point last week, it occurred to me that our president is sort of a hip, black Svengali. Don't listen! I wanted to yell, lest all who heard might become transfixed, and finally, irreversibly hypnotized.

And how amusing, I thought. … The lifelong communist who managed to ascend to the presidency of the United States, advising the graduating class of a military academy that America had "outlasted communism." A calculatedly disarming maneuver, or simply reinforcement of the Obama mythos that he is still the emissary of long-awaited hope and change?

While some Americans remain mesmerized, and many are still at risk, remember that these numbers are dwindling. The number of those who are dedicatedly working to break the spell and reverse the damage increases daily.

Prominent media pundits continue to offer questions to their guests and audiences, such as: "Doesn't the president understand that this kind of spending is unsustainable?" and "Why doesn't he just secure the border?"

I remain nonplussed at these and other queries, because I know the answers to them – and I know full well that I'm not the only one. It's just astounding to me that certain otherwise well-informed, politically savvy folks don't.

Of course President Obama knows that his level of spending is unsustainable. The spending is intended to further compromise the U.S. economy, in the same way as overly aggressive implementation of the Community Reinvestment Act was intended to do so. It would be more surprising if Obama did do something to ameliorate our financial woes, rather than massaging filth into the wound and asserting that it will stave off infection.

Then there's the U.S.-Mexico border. There are a few reasons why this is playing out as it is, including economic reliance and the crop of potential voters aliens represent. The assorted crime victims and young American women whose bodies have been picked clean by coyotes in the desert, or who are currently servicing drug lords after having been dragged back across the border into Mexico are simply not a factor.

The third rationale is a much more sinister raison d'être: Obama and his Marxist minions rely on crises; they would like nothing more than to see civil unrest break out along our southern border. The radicalization of young Americans of Mexican descent by the radical left, the ongoing tolerance of radical activists, educators and politicians and a press that does nothing but exacerbate the situation is a recipe for civil unrest.

Between the cultural balkanization that has taken place and the frustration of border-state residents who realize they've been sold out by a complicit government, pockets of violence could very well erupt, and soon. This will intensify the cries of racism from far-left activists, amplify anger on the part of border-state residents, and the hostilities would likely snowball.

If this happens, the federal government will be "compelled" to intercede to keep the peace – just as the government of the Soviet Union wound up doing for 70 years in Eastern Europe.

Now, realize that spending and inaction on the border are just two manifestations of this administration's grand design for the dismantling of America. There are dozens more of varying scope, but all lead to the same end, and all reflect the character of the principals involved in bringing this about.

The motivations of power-seeking progressives are very easy to understand, if craven, unprincipled and perverse: These are individuals who are of above average intelligence, but who are intrinsically emotionally immature, covetous and narcissistic. Like most people, they have talents and aptitudes, but they don't see these conveying to them the fortune and glory to which they feel entitled, because they know they have no real vision. They'll never compose grand symphonies, achieve great medical breakthroughs, nor found multibillion-dollar companies. Being of the aforementioned temperament, they also form harsh assessments of the people and society around them.

They could have done it better, they reason.

Rush Limbaugh: 'Thank you, Mr. President!'

Rush Limbaugh thanks President Obama for all the things that Obama has done that will make the election in November so easy for the Republicans to win. Brace yourselves, folks, just watch the video and hear all the things that Rush mentions the many ways that Obama has aroused "the sleeping, silent majority" in this segment.
Limbaugh concluded: "But most of all, Mr. President, thank you for arousing the sleeping, silent majority, because we have been asleep too long.

"November is coming, Mr. President," Limbaugh warned. "That is when we will really thank you."
Grateful to Obama 'for arousing the sleeping, silent majority'

Playing off of President Obama's remark to Democrat donors yesterday that tea-party protesters should be thanking him instead of protesting his policies, talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh on his show today ran off a string of reasons he's grateful to Obama, culminating with "arousing the sleeping, silent majority" who are prepared to give his party an unprecedented thrashing at the polls in November.

Obama was speaking in Miami at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser.

"Since today happens to be tax day, I should just point out that one-third of the recovery act went to tax cuts. Tax cuts that strengthen the cornerstone of the American dream," Obama began.

Lowering his tone of voice in an apparent aside, he then shared with the Democrat donors that he had been "a little amused over the last couple of days where people have been having these rallies, about taxes."

"You would think they would be saying thank you," Obama said to laughter from the audience. "That's what you'd think."

Video provided by rightscoop
After playing the clip on his show today, Limbaugh commented: "Ladies and gentlemen, this is a classic illustration of authoritarian mocking control. He hasn't cut anybody's taxes. The recovery act stimulus bill – it's more like loaves and fishes. There are no tax cuts in that. There were some tax credits. It's all bogus.

"But he wants to be thanked," Limbaugh continued. "OK, I will oblige."

Welcome to the Madoff economy ~ By Pat Boone

Pat talks about the similarity between the budget deficits and Bernie Madoff's Ponzi scheme.
You can't change gravity. And you cannot go on spending trillions of dollars you don't have, and just expect "everything to turn out all right." You can't solve human problems with worthless pieces of printed money, backed by nothing but wishes and impossible promises.

Thomas Jefferson warned, "Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us. We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to the wretchedness which inevitably awaits them, if we basely entail hereditary bondage upon them."

Citizens, this battle has been forced upon us. Let's get it on.
By Pat Boone

A little rebellion now and again is a good thing.

– Thomas Jefferson

Less than three weeks ago, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi cooed, "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it."

Yes, she said that! Right out loud, on national TV. She indicated that she herself didn't know all that the 2,700-page health-care bill contained or mandated – but that she was determined to cram this atrocity down the throats of Americans, before they (or she) learned what it would contain or cost them.

There's a kind of wild ferocity in her manner. Oh, it's softly modulated, but absolutely determined, and nothing was going to deter her quest to deliver this prize for President Obama. Sounding for all the world like an earnest Avon lady selling you her products, she told every audience and the members of the House that this bill was not only patriotic, historic and needed – but would decrease the deficit! And you could have sworn she actually believed it.

She wanted all of us to believe that, having added almost $3 trillion to our national debt, with no one to pay it but us beaten down taxpayers, somehow this monstrosity was going to magically reduce itself! That the American public should rejoice with her that virtually all 300 million of us were going to have fabulous health care, courtesy of the government, including 14 or 15 million illegal aliens and several million others who actually don't want it. And that her Congress could take $500 billion out of Medicare while it tried to serve the 30 million more baby boomers who are entitled to it … and that over 10 years this scheme would result in over a trillion dollars in savings.

I'd like to ask the speaker how she would feel about the following scenario. I don't know her net worth, but am reliably informed that she and her husband might be worth 30 or 40 million dollars, conservatively. So, one morning she learns that a Republican Congress has enacted a giant bill that compels her to accept a $200 million personal indebtedness, and she can't do anything about it. But the good news: This debt will enable the government to extend all kinds of goodies to aliens and homeless and some welfare recipients who haven't even tried to work in years – won't she be deliriously happy about this?

The money is going to such a good and noble cause, and the Congress promises that in 10 years or less, her debt will somehow decrease to only $150 million. And everybody knows how efficient and dependable the government is with the programs it manages. Do you think Lady Speaker would keep her motherly composure and earnest compassion, finding out that her long-cherished $40 million fortune was absorbed into a $200 million debt?

Well, that's what has happened to every American citizen as this gigantic, preposterous bill has been railroaded through a Democratic Congress and signed into law by an inexperienced president determined to "save his presidency," no matter what.

As debtor, Obama doubles down Jefferson ~ By Jack Cashill

In this column, Jack Cashill tells us about some history that I am sure most of us wouldn't have known about. The two main subjects of the history lesson are Thomas Jefferson and Barack Hussein Obama. You will want to read the full text of this article, I am sure, as it is quite enlightening.
No, economic virtue did not end at the nation's beginning. Upon leaving office in 1953, for instance, Truman drove back to Missouri with Bess in his own car and settled in the humble Independence home he and his wife had once shared with his mother-in-law, there to live out his remaining days.

No horses, no wine cellar, no mansion, no slaves, no personal trainer, no Jimmy Choo shoes, no debt.

In his book, "Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage," celebrity journalist Christopher Andersen shows how the Obamas' reckless spending pushed them to enlist Bill Ayers to help Barack write his much acclaimed 1995 memoir, "Dreams From My Father."

According to Andersen, Obama was "hopelessly blocked" in his effort to honor the $150,000 contract Simon & Schuster had advanced him three years prior.

Obama was particularly worried because he had spent $75,000 of the advance and had produced nothing. In 1993, the publisher canceled the contract but let Obama keep the money after he pled poverty due to "massive student-loan debt."

At the time, the Obamas, still childless, were making $250,000 a year between them. Michelle had a personal trainer and a closet full of Jimmy Choo shoes, but their creditors would have to wait.

After his agent secured Obama a smaller contract with the Times Books division of Random House, Barack decamped to Bali-Bali – in the hope that he would be able to finish the book without interruption. That did not happen, either.

With a new deadline pressing, Michelle recommended that Barack seek advice from "his friend and Hyde Park neighbor Bill Ayers." The rest is history, at least to those of us who are paying attention.

Personal debt is nothing new. "He that goes a-borrowing goes a-sorrowing," said Benjamin Franklin some 250 years ago. As I show in my new book, "Popes and Bankers," we have been in debt as a nation and a people from the very beginning, Thomas Jefferson being a classic prodigal.

The difference between Obama and Jefferson, though, is that the latter did not project his personal failings onto the nation as a whole.

In George Washington's first term, Jefferson, as secretary of state, went head to head with Alexander Hamilton and his Federalist allies. Jefferson saw debt as the fuel for Federalist ambitions and pulled in the reins, or at least tried to.

In 1798, while serving as vice president under John Adams, he argued that the surest way to reduce the scope of national government would be to pass a constitutional amendment "taking from the Federal Government the power of borrowing."

On the home front, however, Jefferson was something else.

Bankrupting our posterity ~ By John Stossel

We're in big trouble folks... Or, should I say our children and grandchildren and future generations are going to be in a real bad situation? John Stossel explains the huge challenges and the lack of good solutions. We can't tax our way out, we can't borrow our way out, and we can't just print money without high inflation. So, now what?
Our forefathers would be appalled. After the American Revolution, when the new government was debating how to pay its bills, George Washington said this about a national debt: "We should avoid ungenerously throwing upon posterity ... the burden we ourselves ought to bear." Well, we sure are dumping my generation's debt onto posterity. I wish we had more politicians like George Washington.

Bernie Madoff took money from people who thought he'd invested it, gave some to others who thought it was a partial return on their earlier investments and kept much for himself. That's called a Ponzi scheme, and his $50 billion fraud was called the biggest ever. But it wasn't the biggest. Social Security and Medicare are much bigger ones.

These are trillion-dollar scams. Medicare has a $36 trillion unfunded liability. Social Security's is $8 trillion. There's no money to keep those promises.

But Congress isn't investigating this scam. Congress runs it. That FICA money you thought government had saved for your retirement is gone. There's nothing left but IOUs backed by nothing. Your money was spent not only on current retirees but on wars, welfare, corporate bailouts, earmarks and all the other stuff Congress wants. For years, this was possible because the FICA tax brought in surpluses that allowed government to pay retirees more than they contributed and still help buy those other things.

Those days are gone. The huge group of baby boomers has started to retire, and that means trouble. In 2008, for the first time, Medicare paid out more than it took in.

So instead of filling the government's coffers and hiding the real size of the budget deficit, the entitlement programs have now begun to drain the treasury. Part of the "problem" is that we live longer. When Social Security started, most people didn't live to 65. Now we average 78.

This means that baby boomers like me who expect to collect Social Security and Medicare are basically stealing from children.

Think of the burden: When I was a kid, there were five workers for every retired person. Now, there are only three. And soon there will only be two young workers to fund each baby boomer's Social Security and Medicare checks.

Time to stop lying to ourselves ~ By Star Parker

Star Parker writes, "It's time to stop lying to ourselves. We're losing our freedom and our nation. We need to slam on the brakes before it's too late." Let's hope it isn't too late, but I have to wonder.
We can't continue living in the lawless society we've become where politicians and corporate welfare queens can conspire in Washington to do whatever they want with our resources.

Citigroup, one the world's largest banks, was bailed out with some $45 billion of U.S. taxpayer funds, and we taxpayers – you and I – still own a little over one-quarter of the company.

Do you recall making this investment? I don't.

Nevertheless, in testimony before a panel appointed by Congress to oversee management of the $700 billion TARP fund that financed the Citigroup bailout, the bank's CEO, Vikram Pandit, thanked all of us.

"I want to thank our government for providing Citi with TARP funds. … Citi owes a large debt of gratitude to American taxpayers."

The rest of Pandit's testimony amounted to genuflecting before his government welfare officers and endorsing sweeping new government regulation of the financial-services industry that Democrats in the House and Senate are championing.

"I strongly believe that consumer protection can and should be strengthened at the federal regulatory level," testified Pandit.

The $700 billion TARP fund used to bail out Citigroup, along with others, was a check written on the American taxpayers' account that Congress gave then-Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson to spend however he wanted.

At the center of the financial collapse that brought down these banks was the illusion of infinitely rising housing prices fueled by trillions of dollars of free-flowing credit, artificially cheap because it was backed by us taxpayers through FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

In other words, the heart of our crisis can be explained by Margaret Thatcher's famous summary of the problem with socialism: Sooner or later you run out of other people's money.

Of course, we need protection. But American consumers are also American taxpayers, and it's American citizens and taxpayers that need to be protected from their government.

The tea-party grass-roots revolt that has sprouted across our country is a basic expression of recognition that we have lost control of our own government and that if we are going to be a free and prosperous people, this can't go on.

Fear-mongering demagogue Al Gore ~ By Joseph Farah

This column by Joseph Farah doesn't hold back on the criticism of Al Gore and the global warming hysteria based on a scam that not only enriches Gore, but also is being used to empower big government, and even global government.
Why do you suppose so many foster this paranoia?

The answer is simple: It empowers the powerful and dis-empowers the powerless. It promotes big government and globalism and moves us away from individual and state sovereignty accountable to the people and the rule of law.

Which are you going to believe: Al Gore or your own eyes?

Forget what we in the United States and many around the world have experienced this winter, he writes in a New York Times op-ed. It may seem colder, but this is exactly what should be expected in a global-warming scenario, he claims. Just as a snowless winter in Washington a few years ago was also exactly what we should expect.

If it's hot, blame global warming. If it's cold, blame climate change.

Al Gore is not a serious person. He's a get-rich-quick artist who is peddling the biggest con game in the history of man.

He once famously accused George W. Bush of "playing on our fears." But listen to Gore's voice of "reason" in his latest screed:
  • We're facing "an unimaginable calamity requiring large-scale, preventive measures to protect human civilization as we know it."
  • Our grandchildren will "one day look back on us as a criminal generation that … selfishly and blithely ignored clear warnings that their fate was in our hands." (And, by the way, he's not talking about the national debt his friends in power are placing on those grandchildren.)
  • "The crisis is still growing because we are continuing to dump 90 million tons of global-warming pollution every 24 hours into the atmosphere – as if it were an open sewer."
  • Scientists "probably underestimated the range of sea-level rise in this century, the speed with which the Arctic ice cap is disappearing and the speed with which some of the large glacial flows in Antarctica and Greenland are melting and racing to the sea."
  • What's coming next? "The displacement of hundreds of millions of climate refugees, civil unrest, chaos and the collapse of governance in many developing countries, large-scale crop failures and the spread of deadly diseases."
I don't know about you, but I never heard Bush speak in such apocalyptic hyperbole.

Al Gore once claimed credit for inventing the Internet. That, of course, was not true. But, as I have said before, give credit where credit is due. Al Gore did invent global warming – and he has profited mightily from that invention ever since.

He's nothing but a two-bit charlatan, but he is treated by the press establishment like a prophet, a courageous leader, a selfless crusader, a man of vision and ideals.

Next up: Obama wants your retirement money ~ By Roger Hedgecock

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Roger Hedgecock By Roger Hedgecock Posted: January 25, 2010 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2010 Trillion-dollar deficits as far as the eye can see are not going down well with voters. The president has plans for even more big spending. The Chinese have said there's not enough money in the world to finance U.S. debt. Already, the annual federal deficit is being financed by selling 80 percent of the Treasury notes and bonds – to the Federal Reserve! Obama needs lots of real money, and he needs it now. According to the Labor and Treasury Departments, draft federal regulations will be published for public comment as soon as next week which would "promote" the conversion of 401(k) and IRA accounts to annuities. Make no mistake here: Obama is after your retirement money. The "annuities" will "invest" not in the familiar packages of bond and stock mutual funds but in the Treasury debt! The biggest pool of real money left in the U.S. (more than $4.7 trillion) is in 401(k) and IRA "defined contribution" accounts. Created by Congress, these saving for retirement devices allow millions of working Americans in more than 700,000 private plans to defer federal income tax on annual contributions to the account. During working years (the accumulation phase), the account is invested mostly in private companies. These retirement accounts are the lifeblood of capitalism. In retirement, tax is paid on the amount withdrawn from the account. Many retirees choose to buy private annuities with all or part of the 401(k) locking in guaranteed (lower) return. The annuity allows further tax deferment because only a portion of the payout is return of principal. Private annuities also presently invest mostly in private companies although they are permitted to also invest in Treasury debt. Now the feds want to "regulate" the inclusion of tax-deferred annuities into already tax-deferred retirement accounts of still-working Americans. As stated this week by Assistant Labor Secretary Phyllis C. Borzi and Assistant Treasury Secretary Mark Iwry, recent stock losses to retirement accounts mean that the feds must protect workers with safer "lifetime income options." And what could be "safer" than Treasury bonds with principal and interest guaranteed by the U.S. government? READ FULL STORY >

State of the Union grade: 'F' ~ By Chuck Norris

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Chuck Norris By Chuck Norris Posted: January 25, 2010 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2010 Thomas Jefferson wrote in 1806 what many of us were thinking a week ago when Scott Brown won the U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts: "I sincerely congratulate you on the triumph of republicanism in Massachusetts. The hydra (or many-headed monster) of federalism has now lost all its heads but two." Of course, Jefferson was referring to the remaining two heads of Connecticut and Delaware, yielding to the overarching federalist powers. A great battle was won – but the war was not over. And such is our struggle today from the overreaching power of the federal government. Remember when Washington powerbrokers, as well as mainstream media like CNN and MSNBC, gave little press to the tea-party rallies? Remember when they mocked cross-country town-hall meetings last summer as pockets of resistance and labeled us patriots, constitutionalists and independents as extremists or radicals who had little sway? That has all changed with the election of Republican Scott Brown to the U.S. Senate seat long held by the late Ted Kennedy. Whether you agree with him or not, Brown's election was a real turning point in our country. It truly is a repudiation of all that Washington is fighting for and forcing like a ramrod down our country's throat. It serves as a reminder that patriots can indeed rally across the country and change the flow of Washington. But does Washington get it? President Obama? For a moment, I thought they might (how temporarily naïve or overly optimistic of me). But then I listened to President Obama being interviewed by ABC's George Stephanopoulos the morning after the Massachusetts election. The president's exact words were: "And here's my assessment of not just the vote in Massachusetts, but the mood around the country. The same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office. People are angry, and they're frustrated. Not just because of what's happened in the last year or two years, but what's happened over the last eight years." Wrong, Mr. President. What swept Scott Brown into office was a national disdain for what your administration is doing and has done to our country. It's no longer an anger or frustration with Bush's presidency, but yours. It's not what's happened in the preceding eight years, but the past year since you've become president. (Are you really still blaming President Bush?) Mr. President, it's time to face the music, and help America to do the same. This Wednesday evening, you will give your State of the Union address. And millions upon millions of us are even now wondering if you will again sugarcoat the truth – if you will pad your performance over this past year or confess that the path Washington is taking is plummeting our country deeper into the abyss. If you convey the real status of the union, then you must confess that we are truly no better off (and much worse off in many respects) than when you first took seat in the Oval Office. About this I'll give you credit: that you have indeed fulfilled your promise to "fundamentally transform the United States of America." And you've done so in record-breaking speed – one year, to be exact. READ FULL STORY >
