Alright, another awesome Friday night, binging on The Dan Bongino Show® due to the fact that I had things going on and got behind, and have to catch up. Well, this episode was his Thursday night show. I still have one to go to be up to date!

In this episode, I address the disastrous Democrat debate last night where the candidates were exposed as the frauds they are. I also address the extremely shady connections this former DOJ attorney has to many of the players in multiple anti-Trump hoaxes. Finally, I debunk another media-driven myth about the Trump administration’s pardons.

What Dan Bongino does in this episode, that I want to highlight, is how he explains what a total fraud that Bernie Sanders is. Well, this blog poster is all about showing what a total fraud that Socialism is, and always has been. And this is just one more piece of evidence that I present to you. I won't ever stop providing the truth about how Socialism is the end of Freedom!

For the many people I've come to know in the Conservative world of American politics, we wonder if there will be people that can fill in for those that have been on the scene for so many years, even decades. Of course, you know that I'm talking about America's anchorman, Rush Limbaugh. I had actually thought about that on the Friday before Rush announced his new battle in life with cancer. There's that, and then the fact that we are all aging. And we have to ask, will there be more to come on the scene to keep on with the relentless pursuit of truth about what America stands for? We pray for that!  And I see new people coming along that seem to be an answer to our prayers.

Many of you would surely agree, Charlie Kirk would definitely be a good example of excellence at a very young age. But there is another young person that is totally impressing me. I apologize to my readers here. Last night I spent too much time on other things, and didn't even finish watching this video until tonight (umm, this morning?). As I finished watching, I was really wondering what I could say about this episode because there is so much great stuff packed in to this powerful video. All I can do is just to advise folks to watch the whole video, and take heed, because the Demonicrats took a total face plant, and the President knocked it out of the park.

Here is the big take away from the last few days. You may want to review several of the latest posts I've written regarding Dan Bongino's show, because there is an immense amount of information there. But I'm telling you, the sheer genius of Donald Trump is showing, in so many ways, and yet the other Party is not able to admit that the President outsmarts them at every turn. "Donald is taking off his gloves." That is so good to see! Finally!

It's the Christmas season, so godless liberals are citing the Bible to demand the redistribution of income by government force. Didn't Jesus say, "Blessed are the Health and Human Services bureaucrats, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven"?

Liberals are always indignantly accusing conservatives of claiming God is on our side. What we actually say is: We're on God's side, particularly when liberals are demanding God's banishment from the public schools, abortion on demand, and taxpayer money being spent on Jesus submerged in a jar of urine and pictures of the Virgin Mary covered with pornographic photos.

But for liberals like Al Franken, it's beyond dispute that Jesus would support extending federal unemployment insurance.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the Bible, but it does nicely illustrate Shakespeare's point that the "devil can cite Scripture for his purpose."

What the Bible says about giving to the poor is: "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7).

Being forced to pay taxes under penalty of prison is not voluntary and rarely done cheerfully. Nor do our taxes go to "the poor." They mostly go to government employees who make more money than you do.

The reason liberals love the government redistributing money is that it allows them to skip the part of charity that involves peeling the starfish off their wallets and forking over their own money. This, as we know from study after study, they cannot bear to do (unless they are guaranteed press conferences where they can brag about their generosity).

Syracuse University professor Arthur Brooks' study of charitable giving in America found that conservatives give 30 percent more to charity than liberals do, despite the fact that liberals have higher incomes than conservatives.

To save America, 1st vote the Dems out ~ By Alan Keyes

In one his best columns, Alan Keyes brings up some points that we need to be aware of and then remember this November.

First, we don't dare set ourselves up for disappointment. Regardless of how many seats the Republicans take back in the House and Senate, even if it was possible to get the majority in the Senate, it would be virtually impossible to gain enough seats to be able to override vetoes of any bills that repeal what Obama and his minions have done so far. As Alan wrote, "Even if opponents of the Obama faction's totalitarian health takeover scheme cobble together a clear congressional majority, any repeal legislation would certainly be vetoed by the present occupant of the White House."

And second, keep in mind that the lame duck Congress will do their best to ram through all the Progressive/Marxist agenda that they can before the end of the year and their terms. In other words, as Alan says, just concentrate on defeating as many of the leftist Democrats as possible this Fall. We will hopefully get many Constitutional Conservatives in, and Progressives out.

And in the meantime, while it looks good for Republicans to take back the House and close the gap considerably in the Senate this Fall, we must not let up. I'll guarantee that Obama and his minions will push back very strongly in the remaining time before the election. They will use every trick in the book, including blatant lies through their state-controlled propaganda machine (the mainstream media), and possibly do some cheating in the election as much as possible (via ACORN). Don't let up! Just sayin'...

I fully realize that some of the alternative candidates will in one way or another be Obama faction fellow travelers, Republicans or conservatives in name only, deeply sympathetic to the anti-American stands Obama cohorts take in favor of lax border security, amnesty for illegals and government-controlled access to health care. I fully realize that all too many openly or covertly accept the unprincipled abandonment of the ideas of unalienable, God-given right on which constitutional, democratic self-government is based.

But if in November voters send the Democrats packing in a big way, as a matter of fact and perception the result will seriously limit the ability of the socialist fellow travelers to advocate and pursue their agenda. For a while, at least, they will be politically fearful and constrained. The likely Republican majority that results from such an outcome will be under the gun strenuously to push back against the Obama faction's subversive agenda. If they fail to do so, the naked truth about the sham two-party system will become starkly, incontrovertibly clear...

A solid majority of Americans appear to be reaching conclusions that reject the web of lies, suppression of facts and wishful thinking that subverted the 2008 election. They are realizing that this subversion process handed power over the U.S. government to a gaggle of committed, anti-American Marxists bent on overturning government of, by and for the people, to establish a factional party dictatorship with virtually unlimited sway over all the key political, economic and social aspects of American life.

From health care to jobs, from housing to energy, Obama and his faction beguiled many Americans with promises of good things for all people. Under the enlightened hand of the Obama faction, the U.S. government would offer everyone access to a new and improved health-care system, along with the job of their dreams and the home of their dearest aspirations. Electing the first "black" president, America would forever transcend its bitter and divisive racial past. We would move beyond group divisions, beyond even the narrow vision of merely national identity.

Not as prideful Americans, but as self-esteeming human beings we would accept a new identity as citizens of the world. We would forego our false ambition of world leadership to welcome our equal place in a conclave of humanity. We would abandon the false ideas of American exceptionalism that in the past impelled us to such misguided crimes against humanity as the war in Vietnam or the overthrow of Saddam Hussein in Iraq. We would learn to look past the episodes of manmade disaster (no longer called terrorism) produced by the understandably violent reaction against our misdeeds, in order to respect and placate the otherwise historically peace-loving people of the Islamic world.

With the self-righteous arrogance almost uniformly characteristic of those who see themselves at the forefront of history, Obama and his factional cohorts continue to hawk these wares. But the looming facts of debt, decline and devolution have lifted the veil of well-intentioned wishful thinking that for a time clouded the minds of the Americans who provided the Obama faction its winning edge in 2008.

More and more people every day question the suppression of facts about Obama's background; reject the embrace of totalitarian government implied in such things as his faction's scheme to establish U.S. government control of access to health care; decry the evidence of self-serving racial preference in the Obama clique's administration of justice; and discern the agenda for unlimited power that drives every proposal, every appointment and every action it takes. More and more people have begun to consider or share in the suspicion that mishandling of the nation's finances, the costly procrastination in response to the gulf oil-spill disaster and record U.S. casualties in Afghanistan aren't the result of inexperience and incompetence. They are the natural fruit of lifelong hostility toward the ideas and moral principles that have forged the historic success whereby the very existence of the United States refutes the Marxist delusion. More and more people are looking at the Obama faction, its tools and fellow travelers and what they see is haunted by the yet unspoken thought "We have met the enemy, and it is they."

As a result, many people eagerly anticipate the opportunity offered by the periodic elections that are a key feature of the Constitution the Obama people love to hate. They greet with satisfaction reports that so-called Obamacare might be challenged and even repealed before next November. I understand how they feel. But the reality implied by the provisions of the Constitution militates against such a possibility. Even if opponents of the Obama faction's totalitarian health takeover scheme cobble together a clear congressional majority, any repeal legislation would certainly be vetoed by the present occupant of the White House.

That situation will be true with respect to every piece of legislation the Obama faction manages to pass (or deems to have passed), even in the lame duck session of Congress that follows the November election. Americans convinced that the Obama faction's Marxist juggernaut must be stopped need to consider this fact very carefully. I believe it has an inescapable political implication for anyone sincerely committed to that objective. There is only one outcome in November that can stay the hands now at work to destroy the American way of life. It will not be enough to cut back the Democratic Party's congressional delegation. The Democrats have proven to be the eager tools of the Obama faction's Marxist takeover. To save the American way of life, the Democrats must cease to be a significant presence in the Senate and the House. The forces that oppose the totalitarian socialist subversion of the republic need a veto-proof majority in both Houses of Congress.

Get government out of the market ~ By Henry Lamb

If there was ever a time that I request that you make sure you share a column with your friends, relatives and neighbors, this should be it. In this column, Henry Lamb explains how our financial woes stem from government intrusion into the marketplace.

But here's why you need to share this column: Are you getting fed up with the blatant lies and distortions of the truth like I am? I am so sick and tired of the "blame Bush for everything" crowd! Henry gives us some background here and in a previous column that he wrote back in November 2008 regarding the unintended consequences of the Community Reinvestment Act. The financial collapse of 2008 came upon us because the housing market bubble that was created by the government's involvement had finally burst. Blaming Bush for the collapse is so far from the truth, and yet, apparently many people still believe the biggest lie ever told (by Democrats/Socialists/Marxists/Progressives). It's time that WE the PEOPLE set the record straight! Just sayin'... (and no, I'm not jellin' - I'm yellin'!!)

The cure for the current economic condition is to get government out of the marketplace and out of the lives of individual citizens. Government's correct role in society is to assist – not hinder – free people in their pursuit of life, liberty and happiness. Democrats and socialists believe that government's role is to create an egalitarian society by managing markets, redistributing wealth, and forcing people to live where and how government dictates.

We should never forget: "That government is best that governs least."

The Washington leadership never misses an opportunity to blame the eight years of Bush policies for the economic problems that have befallen the nation. CNN news touts a poll that says 53 percent of the people blame Republican policies for the mess. Both are wrong. Republicans certainly contributed over the years, but the cause of the economic problems must be laid squarely at the doorstep of the Democrats.

The root cause of the economic problem is government interference with the free market.

The root cause of the near-collapse that occurred in the last year of the Bush administration can be traced to the Democratic socialist idea that everyone has a right to adequate housing.

Before President Carter, private lenders in a free market often refused to fund mortgages in certain parts of cities where the neighborhoods were so bad that lenders considered the investment to be unsafe. Democrats and socialists called this practice "redlining." Carter and his Democratic colleagues enacted the Community Reinvestment Act, which effectively outlawed redlining.

This was an enormous intrusion by the government into the marketplace, but it was not enough to satisfy Democrats and socialists. Organizations such as ACORN systematically invaded financial institutions with highly visible public protests, demanding that private lenders fund mortgages for unqualified people in depressed areas. Democrat President Clinton and his Democratic colleagues expanded the Community Reinvestment Act, requiring Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to provide guarantees for these mortgages. Private lenders in a free market would never have made these loans without the intimidation and extortion from ACORN-type organizations and the interference of the federal government.

Intimidation and extortion continued well into the Bush years. When Republicans tried to rein in the loose lending practices at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, their efforts were blocked (see video below) by Democrats, particularly by Rep. Barney Frank and Sen. Charles Schumer.

In their effort to meet the socialist goal of providing adequate housing to all people, whether qualified or not, Democratic interference with the free market caused an enormous artificial bubble in the housing market. This housing bubble produced secondary markets in derivatives (packages of government-guaranteed mortgages) and credit default swaps (insurance against default of derivatives). When unqualified borrowers began to default in staggering numbers, the government had to make good on the mortgages it guaranteed, and the insurance companies – like AIG – had to make good on the insurance policies they had issued.

In 2008, under the reign of George W. Bush, the Treasury Department suddenly realized that neither the mortgage companies nor the insurance companies could make good on their commitments and that unless the federal government came to the rescue, much of the financial marketplace would collapse.

Obama and his Democratic colleagues immediately blamed Bush and his policies, when it was the Democrats who bore the ultimate responsibility. Obama and his Democratic colleagues are still riding the "blame Bush" train and apparently are fooling the majority of Americans. The facts, however, may be misrepresented, but they cannot be altered. The same Democratic socialist philosophy that caused the economic meltdown is guiding the Obama administration as it constructs what it is calling a cure.

Obama's plans for the future offer no cure to the economic doldrums; they most assuredly promise even greater economic disaster.

His view and his every action so far reflect the socialist vision of government control and management of the market, and of every individual.

The cure for economic problems is freedom from government interference and management in the marketplace. Get government out of the way. The free market will find its way to profit and prosperity if government will simply get out of the way.

Democrats are quick to say that the absence of government regulation is what caused the economic meltdown. This diagnosis is incorrect, and the medicine they are prescribing will only worsen the malady.

When will this insanity end? ~ By David Limbaugh

There are still plenty of Obama worshippers that don't believe that he is a Socialist, or for that matter, a Marxist or Communist. However, as David Limbaugh shows here in this column, Obama certainly is!

In hot pursuit of his latest federal power grab (a complete financial overhaul), what Obama doesn't tell us is that it wasn't an unregulated market that primarily caused the financial crisis – the crisis that facilitated his ecstatic quest to completely transform America into a socialist state. It was largely an unbridled, out-of-control, do-gooder leftist Congress that substituted its values for the wisdom of the market and incentivized and forced financial firms to make loans to people who couldn't possibly repay them, among other things. These wonderful leftist congressmen, who hold themselves out as impartial regulators, resisted Republican efforts to rein in their friends at Fannie and Freddie.

I wonder why any president of the United States would feel compelled to protest, repeatedly, "I believe in the power of the free market." Has any other president said it – at least in the context Obama keeps saying it? That's rhetorical.

Sure, Ronald Reagan talked about the glories of capitalism frequently, but never in terms of trying to convince skeptics that he really believed what he was saying.

But Obama said it again in that very context, in his Wall Street speech in New York yesterday. "As I said two years ago on this stage, I believe in the power of the free market." Believe me; he didn't go on to elaborate on the wonders of entrepreneurship, capital formation, liberty or the robust economic growth that free markets produce and which cannot be replicated, with any faint degree of consistency, in command-control economies.

Indeed, just one sentence later, Obama added one of his ubiquitous free-market qualifiers. He said, "But a free market was never meant to be a free license to take whatever you can get however you can get it."

Excuse me? Please tell me one capitalist who believes that a free market is synonymous with a license to steal. None does. They all understand that our capitalist system operates under the rule of law. We already have laws preventing stealing, fraud and the like. So why does he have to frame the issue in such distorted extremes? Also rhetorical.

But let me ask you something: could Obama make the same statements about the federal government, as in, "I believe in the power of the federal government, but the federal government was never supposed to have a license to take whatever it can get however it can get it"?

Sure he could make the statement, but would he mean it? Rhetorical. Surely we can all agree that he has far more confidence in the federal government than in the invisible hand of the free market. In fact, Obama leftists these days are coming out of the woodwork to condemn conservatives and other free-market advocates for believing that capitalism can possibly work without the constant heavy hand of government regulation pressing down on evil entrepreneurs for their excess profiteering.

Raised and mentored at the feet of capitalist-hating leftists, Obama repeatedly reveals a visceral distaste for profits. And I don't mean so-called "excess" or "ill-gotten" profits only, but just plain old profits. Obama thinks, like a Marxist, that profits are "surplus value" stolen by capitalists from laborers who produce the wealth.

He is obviously so deeply steeped in Marxist indoctrination that he believes that prices are only high because of profits. In his static view, only a government-controlled system can cut out those evil profits and maintain reasonable prices. He apparently has no concept of – or any appreciable real-world experience validating – the ability of the market, through competition, to produce higher-quality goods at lower prices.

Doing the Socialists' bidding ~ By Henry Lamb

Henry Lamb explains how the Democrats ridicule those that call Obama and Democrats in Congress Marxists. So, let's see if the evidence proves them wrong. I think you'll be able to say that they ARE Marxists after reading this! But first, the video showing Obama's arrogance:

Marxism in a free society is like a cancer. It grows and spreads and infiltrates every facet of society, always demanding more taxes to provide universal health care, a living wage, adequate housing, education and other entitlements, until eventually, there are no more taxes to take.


The only cure for Marxist cancer is radical surgery. The first of two necessary operations is scheduled for Nov. 2, 2010.

People who follow the teaching of Buddha are called Buddhists. People who follow the teaching of Christ are called Christians. People who follow the teaching of Karl Marx are called Marxists, except in the United States, where they prefer to be called Democrats.

In the United States, people who oppose the teaching of Karl Marx are called a variety of names that include teabagger, trailer-trash and even domestic terrorist. In fact, the primary defense used by Democrats against the Marxist label is arrogant, condescending ridicule. (See video above).

Obama says his critics accuse him of using a "socialist" mop to clean up the mess he inherited.

Socialism, according to Marx, is the transition between capitalism and communism; both political systems are based on the teaching of Karl Marx.

The Socialist Party USA "…stands for a socialized health-care system based on universal coverage, salaried doctors and health-care workers, and revenues derived from a steeply graduated income tax."

Obama agrees with this goal, and his Democratic majority in Congress has delivered the first major step toward this most important plank in the Socialist Party's platform.

The Socialist Party Platform says: "The Socialist Party stands for municipal ownership and control of energy plants, in a non-profit and decentralized, but coordinated, system that ensures the most careful use of natural resources."

During a legislative hearing, Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters threatened a government takeover of the entire oil industry.

The Socialist Platform says: "We call for public ownership and democratic control of all our natural resources in order to conserve resources, preserve our wilderness areas, and restore environmental quality."

Even though the government already owns nearly 42 percent of all the land in the United States, Democrats have introduced S. 787, which will take virtually all water from private owners and state and local governments, and give it to the federal government. It will also give legal jurisdiction over "… all activities affecting these waters" to the federal government. Enactment of this bill will effectively deliver this plank in the Socialists' platform.

Tangling with progressives ~ By Burt Prelutsky

Well, at least I know I wasn't alone in the feeling that I had about James Cameron's "Avatar." It seems that Burt picked up on the environment whacko stuff in that movie just as I did. Oh, but Burt doesn't just pick on the crazy environmental activists; he goes after the Progressives for many of the things they are doing to us, such as ObamaCare.

Speaking of health care, who exactly are those 32 million uninsured people who will die in the streets unless Obamacare is implemented? So far as I can figure, there are two groups who make up the 32 million. The first group consists of young people who don't wish to blow their money on something as unsexy as health insurance when they could be spending it on booze and recreational drugs, and the second group is made up of illegal aliens. So it is for their sake Obama wants to destroy the world's finest health-care system and gobble up one-sixth of the nation's economy. Welcome to his world.

It seems that those on the political left change their labels nearly as often as ACORN changes its name. One day, they're calling themselves communists and socialists, then it's Democrats and next it's liberals. They're like professional grifters who move from one town to another just before the local cops close them down and toss them in the clink. They change their names and their con games, but one thing they don't change is their spots.

I, personally, find it odd that some of these leftists, such as Hillary Clinton, have taken to calling themselves progressives. The reason I find it so peculiar is because back in 1948, Henry Wallace ran for president as the standard bearer for the Progressive Party, which everyone knew was what the Communist Party was calling itself at the time. In fact, it was only thanks to dumb luck that Comrade Wallace wasn't running as the incumbent. After all, he had been FDR's vice president during Roosevelt's third term. Fortunately, FDR was persuaded to dump Wallace and run with Truman in 1944. Otherwise, it's safe to assume that the Soviet Union wouldn't have had to rely on the likes of Julius Rosenberg, Morton Sobell and Alan May to provide them with the plans for the A-bomb.

But, by whatever name the leftist loons call themselves, a conservative could drive himself batty trying to figure out what passes for their thought process. For instance, James Cameron spent hundreds of millions of dollars to produce "Avatar," a movie that required every last bit of advanced cinematic technology. The end result was a three-hour movie condemning modern technology.

At least, unlike Cameron, most of his fellow environs are consistent. They're nuts, but they're consistent. Alexander the Great allegedly wept because he had no new worlds to conquer; the environs would weep if they had no new worlds to destroy.

As the people's freedom is diminished, so is America's greatness. Once lost, neither freedom nor the nation's greatness can be easily regained. The people's freedom has been dramatically eroded in recent years, and the Marxist majority now in control of the federal government is trying hard to extinguish those few flames that still flicker. The underlying principle of America's system of government is clearly stated in the Declaration of Independence: Governments derive their just powers "from the consent of the governed." People are free when they control their government. When government controls the people, there can be no freedom. For most of the 20th century, the philosophy of Karl Marx permeated most of Europe and made strong inroads in America. The strong anti-communist movement of the 1950s collapsed when political power was abused. Except for a brief period during the Cuban Missile Crisis, communism, socialism and Marxism faded from the American vocabulary. Instead, "give peace a chance," the war on poverty and environmentalism filled the popular agenda. The new agenda required new government involvement. Lyndon Johnson's 1960s War on Poverty promised to end poverty through government supervision and redistribution of wealth. Detroit's "Model Cities" program was the predecessor of today's "Sustainable Communities" agenda. Detroit provides a great example of why these Marxist policies should be avoided at all costs. Reduced to its lowest common denominator, Marxism is government managing society. Freedom is society managing government. The current arrogant, Marxist majority in Washington could not care less about what the people want or say. It's forever seared into my memory. Dr. Fred Hutchinson, founder of the renowned clinic and research center, was showing me around. He asked me, "Have you ever actually seen cancer cells? Would you like to?" Of course I said I would, and he took me into a laboratory and produced a number of slides. I looked through the high-powered microscope – and gazed at the embodiment of evil. Little black, iridescent globs, almost radiant from within, pulsing with menace, looking like miniaturized Darth Vaders from Star Wars. "Doc, this is ghastly, frightening! What in the world can fight these things?" I asked. "These," he said. And he stuck another slide under the scope. I was now looking at what looked like a bunch of Little Orphan Annie eyes, perfectly round clear circles. I asked, "These little circles, they can fight those evil blisters?" "They can absolutely lick cancer totally; I'll show you," he said. And he then showed me a progression of slides, and I'll never forget what I saw. In stages, those little circles – lymphocytes or white blood cells – moved up to and around the black blisters, completely covered them, and smothered them out of existence. They created an environment in which the cancer cells couldn't function, and they just dissolved. In my mind, I saw a subtitle tickertape moving under the slides, right out of the Bible: "Be not overcome with evil. Overcome evil with good." Doctor Fred went on. "Every body contracts cancer cells from time to time, unknown to the person. Most of the time, a healthy blood stream will deliver those lymphocytes where they're needed, and in sufficient quantity, and the cancer cells are dissolved and expelled. We here, and around the world, are trying to find the way to send that army of white blood cells to the places where the cancer cells have established a foothold. When we accomplish that, we'll lick cancer." I then asked the obvious question. "Do we know how cancer starts, where the black filthy cells come from?" And, as I remember it, he said the medical research world feels there's some virus that infects otherwise healthy cells, and chemically distorts or corrupts their DNA. Those cells go on living in the organ, and reproducing – but now controlled by a different blueprint. They have become outlaws, renegades and as they grow they disrupt the functions of the organ, contaminate and ruin it; and they can eventually spread through the body, using the bloodstream, and cause death. There's something fearfully like that going on in our body politic. A deadly virus has been loosed throughout our system, and wherever it takes root, it changes the functions and the structure that gave us the grandest, strongest, freest system of government the world has ever known. Outfits like the George Soros-subsidized Media Matters will have a field day with it – excerpting passages out of context, deliberately distorting the words I am carefully choosing and, in typical knee-jerk fashion, mocking its premise. Cable TV propagandists posing as "newsmen" will hurl invectives and dub me as a villain for expressing my honest and candid opinions – all of which are based on reality and truth. Lately, both sides of the political spectrum have suggested their political opponents resemble Nazis or fascists. Are both sides equally wrong? Let's talk about "national socialism" – because that, indeed, is exactly what Barack Obama and his friends in the Congress are actively promoting and enacting in America today. The very word "Nazi" is indeed an acronym for national socialism – the political and economic system Hitler infamously imposed on Germany in the 1930s. It was then and remains today, despite the denials historical revisionists, a "left-wing" idea. All socialism is, by definition, a left-wing notion. If the left-right political spectrum has any meaning, it is that those on the left tend to favor government intervention while those on the right favor non-government solutions to problems. That is the traditional and accepted definition – much as those on the left would like to blur that understanding. National socialists, whether they seek to kill Jews or old people or the disabled or unborn babies, will always be national socialists – no matter what kind of lipstick they put on the pig. Furthermore, people like our Founding Fathers, who sought to diffuse power because they understood its unchecked and unlimited centralization represented a grave threat to personal liberty represent the polar opposite of national socialists. One writer says he was working on this project way back in the 1980s when he was building special Buicks that would run on methanol for the Department of Energy, with on-board computers to control the car's operation. By 1993, test cars in Colorado were controlled from Pontiac, Mich. The popular "OnStar" system, promoted by Government Motors, is an outgrowth of this work. Another writer listed 15 different possible applications, such as shutting down the vehicle when its allotted emissions cap had been reached. Why not? The current cap-and-trade bill would limit industrial emissions and force each business to pay an extra tax for the privilege of emitting additional carbon dioxide. Why not arbitrarily assign a weekly or monthly cap on auto emissions and shut down the vehicle when that limit is reached? The new Global Positioning Satellite device would have that capability. Every American ought to be outraged that such a system is even contemplated. This system is the tool that makes slaves of every person who depends upon a vehicle. Every person should consider just how his life would be changed if he were required to get approval from the federal government to start his car. Another writer argues that the government has the authority and the right to impose whatever conditions it wishes, since driving on public roads is a privilege, not an individual right. His argument says the government may impose any condition it wishes on the license to use public roads. What will it take to restore common sense and rein in out-of-control government? Get Glenn Beck's latest book, inspired by Founding Father Thomas Paine This argument completely ignores the Fourth Amendment guarantee of the right to be secure from government intrusion without probable cause and due process. Does the government's right to tax trump the constitutional right to individual privacy? The proposed GPS road tax system could easily be programmed to listen to and record conversations inside any vehicle. It could stop a vehicle, lock the occupants inside and notify the "jack boots" that the occupants were en route to a tea party. We would hope that the federal government would never sink to the level of paranoia that gripped Nazi Germany. But then, we also hoped that the federal government would never sink to the level of labeling legal, peaceful assemblies, such as the recent tea parties, as gatherings of potential terrorists. Who would have believed, even five years ago, that the federal government would take over GM, much of the banking industry, and appoint more than 30 "czars" to administer government without congressional oversight? Who would have believed that Congress could be bullied into adopting a cap-and-trade program that deliberately increases the cost of energy for every American, with absolutely no offsetting benefit – except increased government control over the life of every citizen? Who would have believed that Congress would even consider allowing the government to take over the health care industry and create a system that allows government to ration health care and make life-and-death decisions for individual citizens? The Democratic socialists who have taken control of the federal government are giddy with their power. Their view of utopia is government control of virtually everything. In Cuba, people who owe their livelihood to Castro are not about to vote for anyone but Castro. The Democratic socialists are creating a society in which the vast majority of people are dependent upon the government for their livelihood.
