Freedom cannot exist in Obama's vision of a managed market and a managed society. Every citizen must decide whether this nation will yield to Obama's vision, or return to the framer's vision of a government that exists for the purpose of protecting every citizen's right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness – as defined by every individual – not by the national government.Hey, that's just a taste of what you will get to read today, or whenever you are up to it. I know, tonight is the last day of the year, typically called New Years Eve. So, when you're able to read text on your monitor without your headache becoming even more severe, you'll want to check this out.
I hope that your expectations weren't overly magnified by using the word "Daily" in the title of these latest posts. The truth is, in the case of this blog, "Daily" is not equivalent to "every day." I'm going to do my best to keep this blog active by posting as often as possible, but I guarantee that I'll be taking Sundays off, and maybe another day during the week. And then there will be those occasions when I'm not able to do any posting for an extended time for various reasons. I do not have a staff to fill in for me when I am "absent." But trust me, when I know that I'll not be able to do any posting, I'll announce it.
But I digress. I think that you will find what Patrice Lewis writes in her latest and last column of the year to be a bit of good advice for all of us to think about on this New Year's Eve:
As we head into the New Year, perhaps it's time to stop making unfulfillable resolutions and decide instead to take a simple course of action: Fill the year with good, sound choices and decisions.I'm just sayin' ...
Let's make our elders proud of us. Let's make ourselves proud as well. Happy New Year.

Obama aide blasts Romney's son for eligibility comment
Democrat campaign levels accusation of 'pandering to dead-enders'
From WND ~ December 31, 2011 ~ 12:30 am Eastern ~ By Bob Unruh
Matt Romney, whose father, Mitt, is vying for commitments from Iowa GOP caucus voters this weekend, said his dad would release his financial records when President Obama "releases his grades and birth certificate."
The younger Romney later insisted he was joking, but Barack Obama, in Hawaii now on a vacation estimated to set the taxpayers back some $4 million, saw it as an opportunity to cash in for his campaign. His 2012 fundraising machine immediately posted online: "The Birth Certificate Thing Again?"
"Matt Romney says his dad Mitt will release his tax returns 'as soon as' President Obama releases his birth certificate," the campaign fundraising pitch by "Grant," said today. "This is how the Romney campaign thinks it's going to win the Republican primary: by pandering to the dead-ender fringe of extremists who still question where the president was born."
Unindicted terror 'co-conspirator' gets blog closed down
Islam advocates call critic 'anti-Muslim hate site'
From WND ~ December 30, 2011 ~ 8:28 pm Eastern
The Council on America-Islamic Relations, which is considered by U.S. counterterrorism officials as a front group for the Egypt-based Muslim Brotherhood and was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terror finance case, says it has succeeded in silencing a blog where some of the comments cited a desire for violence against Muslims.
According to a statement released by CAIR on PR Newswire, its complaints led WordPress.com to close down the BareNakedIslam.com blog.
In fact, site visitors today were presented with the message, "barenakedilsam.wordpress.com is no longer available. This blog has been archived or suspended for a violation of our Terms of Service."
Romney Brings in Christie in Iowa Final Push
From Newsmax.com ~ Friday, 30 Dec 2011 04:45 PM
DES MOINES, Iowa - White House hopeful Mitt Romney brought in help from New Jersey on Friday to bolster his prospects for a win in Iowa next week that would put him in the lead in the Republican presidential race.
Romney campaigned alongside tough-talking New Jersey Governor Chris Christie in a final frenzy of candidate appearances before Iowa launches the state-by-state contests to choose the Republican nominee who will face Democratic President Barack Obama in the November 2012 election.
Gov. Chris Christy (R-NJ)
Romney, buoyed by an NBC/Marist poll that showed him leading the field ahead of Tuesday's Iowa caucuses, was upbeat about his chances in the Midwestern state that jilted him for former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee in 2008.
"This feels wonderful," Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, told Reuters as he worked a ropeline of supporters outside a grocery store in West Des Moines. "I tell you, the crowds and the enthusiasm couldn't be more wonderful."

The defining moment in the future of America ~ By Henry Lamb
From WND - December 30, 2011 at 5:17 pm Eastern
Jan. 1, 2012, is the first day of the last year of the first term of the most "transformative" president in the history of the United States. Before he became president, Barack Hussein Obama told America that "… we are five days away from fundamentally transforming America." During the first three years of his presidency, he has pushed his philosophy of governance further and further away from the philosophy of governance developed by the framers and enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. The defining moment in the future of the United States will come on Nov. 6, 2012, when each citizen casts – or fails to cast – a vote for the next president, and for the legislators who will guide the nation.

Advice from the elders ~ By Patrice Lewis
From WND - December 30, 2011 at 1:49 pm Eastern
This week I saw an article entitled "Six Tips From Your Future Self" by Dr. Karl Pillemer. The premise was that if you could meet your older and (presumably) wiser self (say, 50 years from now) and ask for advice, what would it be? Since clearly such a scenario is impossible, Dr. Pillemer did the next best thing: He canvassed 1,200 older Americans (ranging from 60 to 108 years) and asked what advice they would give the younger generation. Specifically they were asked, "What mistakes should younger people avoid?" and what are people "most likely to regret when they get to the end of life?"
PATRICE LEWIS
What I liked about this article was its logic and good sense. For heaven's sake, if anyone has been-there-done-that, it's the older generation. Yet in keeping with human nature, the younger people in our society continue to dismiss the older generation as a bunch of fuddy-duddies who can't possibly have any knowledge or insight about today's issues, problems and woes.
Right.
