What If The Experts Are Wrong? ~ Ep. 1220 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Bongino Show's description of this episode on youtube.com/Bongino or in his show notes:
In this episode, I address the stunning failures by the experts to give us accurate information on the Coronavirus, and the disastrous decisions being made as a result of the bad data. I also address the media’s efforts to hide their constantly changing stories about the collusion hoax, and the Wuhan Virus.
So, let me get this straight:  The media, back in January, and, wait a minute... yes, even in February, were saying that everything was okay, we'll be fine, nothing to see here, we can totally trust the Chinese, and if you don't, you're a racist.  Does that sound about right?  I mean, the videos are out there, and that sure seems to be what I remember.

And, then, somebody yells "fire!" in a crowded theatre and there is a mad rush to shut down our entire country, and our economy is what gets set on fire, and not in a good way.  In this episode, Dan explains how that could all happen.  The media, I'm afraid, suddenly remembered Rahm Emanuel's words, "Don't ever let a crisis go to waste."  Oh, don't you worry, ladies and gentlemen, Dan Bongino clearly has the video evidence.  Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), House Majority Whip, is "Tapped to Chair Coronavirus Committee after Calling Pandemic ‘Tremendous Opportunity’ to Achieve Dem Spending Goals"… The narrative has completely reversed.  And it is totally for having the ability of advancing their Leftist agenda.  Just like that, a click of the finger, and the leftist media just goes along with it... of course.

Here is something that has been making me very sad...  No, wait, that's depression.  Let me rephrase that:  Something that makes me angry.  Why did they have to shut down our economy for this? Was it necessary?  Maybe it was because the Chinese didn't share accurate information with us.  Yes, the Wuhan Virus Pandemic was very real, but data that seems to be coming in may be showing us something very different than first thought.  While being highly contagious, most people that had the virus had very little problem with it, barely any symptoms at all!  And, some people that had underlying health conditions, died from it.   Those people could have self-quarantined, and probably been safe. Had we known, or been willing to actually understand it, I'm not so sure that EVERYTHING had to be shut down.

So, I leave you with that question tonight.  Has there been a major overreaction due to some faulty data and models?  Could it have been caused by the Leftist media, and Demonicrat politicians, that saw an opportunity to get their agenda into law?  I am guessing you know how I feel, and how Dan Bongino feels.  I'm feeling that many of you have the same questions and thoughts.

BS Media Narrative Alert ~ Ep. 1218 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Bongino Show's description of this episode on youtube.com/Bongino or in his show notes:
In this episode, I address the explosive new report about the FBI’s Spygate operation which should make everyone question our civil liberties. I also address the Democrats’ real plan going forward and their attempts to force through more government spending in a crisis.

Who are we to believe? Who is using a narrative that can hurt this country? Who is blaming America for everything, including the Chinese Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020. And, okay, we're going to give you the big clue now: Who is parroting the Chinese propaganda? It is just one more attempt to destroy President Trump. But, hey, nobody would sacrifice all those lives just to make the President look bad, would they? We would hope that nothing that drastic, or draconian, would be in the Demonicrat playbook, just to dump on the President! Seriously, we probably shouldn't put it past their desire to regain power and the White House. And even if that is too difficult to fathom, we always have the words, "Never let a crisis go to waste," from Rahm Emanuel.

Hey, I have to give my kudos to Dan, for mentioning the reversal by Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, right toward the end of the episode, regarding the use of Hydroxychloroquine (and azithromycin) to treat Coronavirus patients. Again, an example of Demonicrats allowing people to suffer just to make a political hit on President Trump. Shameless.

Yes, just a while ago, I posted a video, by the young JJ McNown: "Whoever Controls the Story, Controls the World ~ Video by JJ McNown on Fortis Media," which I am sure you've seen by now.  What made that so extraordinary was that I saw it and posted it, before I knew what Dan was going to discuss and saw his video.  That is when I go, "Hmmmm…"

Gutfeld on the media and Democrats on the coronavirus ~ Fox News Video

"Never let a crisis go to waste," said Rahm Emanuel. The Demonicrats are taking every possible advantage of that advice, as we see now. Economic crisis and the stock market crash. Coronavirus outbreak crisis. There is no doubt that Greg Gutfeld, on The Five, nails it: "If the media and Democrats hate the current president, then crisis is their tool."

What turned my head today was not the stock market crash, as horrible as that was. No, what I saw that was truly disturbing, were the calls, from the Demonicrats and the left-leaning liberal "mediacrocy" of course, for the President to suspend the MAGA rallies to help stop the outbreak. Okay, that's fine. Then let's cancel the Demonicrat convention in Milwaukee, too! Hey, then, let's suspend the whole election! Maybe that would be the way for the President to flip the whole thing on the Demonicrats and liberal media! That, I believe, would be not letting a crisis go to waste... in their words, not ours.

When the elites wage war on America, this is how they will do it ~ By Brandon Smith

Published on Mar 29, 2015 by World Conflict Films ~ A late night military exercise conducted in a highly-populated urban area of Florida has many residents wondering if there were intentions beyond the training aspect of the operation.

So if Jade is a crisis-planning system for the military and the military is training for domestic operations, what is the crisis it is training to react to? It’s hard to say. I believe it will come down to an economic disaster, but our economic and social structures are so weak that almost any major event could trigger collapse. Terror attacks, cyberattacks, a stiff wind, you name it. The point is the government expects a crisis to occur. And with the advent of this crisis, the ultimate war on the American people will begin.
When hearing about this for the first time about a week ago, I didn't get many details about it.  The friend telling me about it, as always, suggested that I Google it.  I saw no reason to get too worked up about it, and thus, avoided running to the computer and tripping over my cat in my mad scramble.  However, the very next day, Jade Helm 15 was being mentioned in an email from PersonalLiberty.com.  The article being linked to was this one.

This column, of course, then got me thinking. "The point is the government expects a crisis to occur. And with the advent of this crisis, the ultimate war on the American people will begin." Hmmm... Crisis... Crisis? Okay, how big of a crisis? Economic meltdown and all of the banks are shut down (along with all of the ATMs)? Natural catastrophes in the realm of civilization-ending magnitude, such as the Yellowstone caldera blowing sky high? How about a massive terrorist attack where our seven largest cities are nuked and there's nothing left but ashes? And finally, my personal "favorite" longstanding is the EMP, whether natural or man-made, that ends our civilization as we know it.

I've had conversations with like-minded associates on many occasions where we've discussed ways in which Obama would stay in power after his term would end in January 2017.  Every mention of the scenario included some type of crisis as a way for BHO to declare martial law and "postpone" the 2016 election.   Rahm Emanuel, before he returned to Chicago, had said, "Never let a crisis go to waste."  I am sure that his good friend Barry still remembers those malevolent words.

Not that I'm expecting everyone who reads this column to go into prepper mode, but like me, you're probably going to have to consider what may be facing us in the near future.  If we were to be placed in harm's way regarding our freedom by a tyrannical President, it's a sure bet that is just one step closer to a one world government.   And if you choose to bury your head in the sand, you'll most likely be unaware of what is being done to end our freedom, and this country as we know it.  Just sayin'...
For now, the establishment chooses to sway public opinion with carefully crafted disinformation. But what is the best way to deal with public opinion when fighting a modern revolution? Remove public opinion as a factor entirely so that the power elite are free to act as viciously as they wish. Engineered crisis, and economic crisis in particular, creates a wash of other potential threats, including high crime, looting, riots, starvation, international conflict, etc. In such an environment, public opinion counts for very little, if people even pay attention at all to anything beyond their own desperation. Once this is achieved, the oligarchy has free reign to take morally questionable actions without fear of future blowback.

When the elites wage war on America, this is how they will do it
By Brandon Smith

Posted on May 5, 2015

From Personal Liberty

In September 2009, more than 4,000 police and National Guard troops locked down Pittsburgh for the Group of 20 summit. Only one route was open for travel.
The consequences and patterns of war, whether by one nation against another or by a government against the citizenry, rarely change. However, the methods of war have evolved vastly in modern times. Wars by elites against populations are often so subtle that many people might not even recognize that they are under attack until it is too late. Whenever I examine the conceptions of “potential war” between individuals and oligarchy, invariably some hard-headed person cries out: “What do you mean ‘when?’ We are at war right now!” In this case, I am not talking about the subtle brand of war. I am not talking about the information war, the propaganda war, the economic war, the psychological war or the biological war. I am talking about outright warfare, and anyone who thinks we have already reached that point has no clue what real war looks like.

The recent exposure of the nationwide Jade Helm 15 exercise has made many people suspicious, and with good reason. Federal crisis exercises have a strange historical tendency to suddenly coincide with very real crisis events. We may know very little about Jade Helm beyond government admissions, claims and misdirections. But at the very least, we know what “JADE” is an acronym for: Joint Assistance for Deployment and Execution, a program designed to create action and deployment plans using computer models meant to speed up reaction times for military planners during a “crisis scenario.” It is linked with another program called ACOA (Adaptive Course of Action), the basis of which is essentially the use of past mission successes and computer models to plan future missions. Both are products of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

As far as I know, no one has presented any hard evidence as to what “HELM” really stands for, but the JADE portion of the exercise explicitly focuses on rapid force deployment planning in crisis situations, according to the government white paper linked above. This fact alone brings into question statements by the Department of Defense that Jade Helm is nothing more than a training program to prepare military units for “foreign deployment.” This is clearly a lie if Jade Helm revolves around crisis events (which denotes domestic threats), rather than foreign operations.

Of course, if you also consider the reality that special operations forces always train like they fight and train in environments similar to where they will fight, the entire notion of Jade Helm as a preparation for foreign theaters sounds absurd. If special operations forces are going to fight in Iraq, Iran or Syria, they go to training grounds in places like Kuwait. If they are training in places like Fort Lauderdale, Florida (including “infiltration training”), then there is no way around the fact that they are practicing to fight somewhere exactly like Fort Lauderdale with a similar culture and population.

Was Ebola Designed as Bioterrorism Weapon and is Already Airborne? Texas Nurse Provides Terrifying Report ~ By Lorrie Agold-Rich

So the protection for a CDC Category A, bioterrorism agent is more stringent than just wearing gloves and not touching blood and body fluids. The CDC website changed the precautions from July to August 2014, the website stated the change was to prevent panic. After that occurred the replacement was vague precautions that are actually incorrect and could put health care workers at increased risk. The site suggested that Ebola “low risk” exposure is considered anyone who has casual contact with that patient per www.cdc.gov. That is quite misleading as casual contact is considered to be within three feet of the infectious person.

A confirmed case of Ebola or hemorrhagic fevers requires the patient to be in a negative pressure isolation room and the caregivers must be in positive air suits (space suits) and every millimeter of their body must be completely covered. They must be decontaminated with bleach or similar decontaminate upon leaving the room. In cases of Ebola, it is known that anything that has blood or body fluids on it can be infectious for several days. The deceased patient is highly infectious. They must be double bagged and bleached. USAMRIID recommends a purifying respirator to be worn in the enclosed space of the infectious person with six feet of that person. Collection of samples from the deceased persons or animals, soil, plants or medical equipment requires the collector to wear an M-40 gas mask and complete bioterrorist protective gear. This is found in USAMRIID’s Medical Management of Biological Handbook, 6th Ed., April, 2005.

I'm not easily fooled. It seems that there is alternative information that is available. What the CDC and DHS and other government agencies are trying to tell us just doesn't add up when compared to their own literature from DoD and other sources. Something is going on here that is very unsettling. I am talking about our government not telling us the truth about Ebola, if that is the case. Why would the government lie about Ebola? To prevent panic? To cover-up their incompetence?
We the people are being lied to, again. Ebola is a bioterrorism weapon. We must be alert and urge our elected officials to have a strict travel ban into the countries where it is active. Other countries have already suspended flights to many of the countries involved. Now that it is here, all we can do is hope and pray that this man did not start a pandemic.
The whistle-blowers like Lorrie Agold-Rich and Dr. Gil Mobley seem to be credible. And the government seems to be lacking in credibility, a lot, lately. But the real truth is, until something REALLY bad happens here, there is no crisis and the government won't say anything.

If only Obama could run out the clock and have a total crisis before the 2014 election, and have an excuse to declare Martial Law. Like Rahm Emanuel told Obama, "never let a crisis go to waste." Just sayin'...

Was Ebola Designed as Bioterrorism Weapon and is Already Airborne? Texas Nurse Provides Terrifying Report
By Lorrie Agold-Rich, MSN, RN, CRRN

October 2, 2014 @ 4:25 PM

From LibertyNews.com

Simply stated, the Ebola Virus is a bioterrorism weapon and is airborne. Those are big statements. The facts will show a unique trail and why the US Federal Government does not want you to know these frightening truths. This is not meant to panic anyone, but inform them of the facts that are being withheld from the American public.

Numerous research studies in the US, and other countries refer to the need for the research and development of vaccines because Filoviruses (strains of Ebola and Hemorrhagic viruses) are classified as Category A bioterrorism agents. Yet another study points to the urgency for finding vaccines and treatments due to being one of the most lethal transmissible infections with high death rates (up to 90%). The study also states the ease of global travel, potential for viral spread via the aerosol route. It also cites this is a CDC (Centers for Disease Control) Category A bioterrorism threat and makes this virus a biodefense research priority.

The Filoviruses like Ebola have been of interest to the Pentagon since the late 1970s due to their high death rate and its stable nature in aerosol, which make it attractive as a bioterrorism weapon. Since the late 1970s-1980s the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) at Ft. Detrick, Maryland has been working and contracting out research for vaccines and treatments.

Of course you realize this means war ~ By Erik Rush

Assuming we have enough willing representation among those who took office yesterday, our job has just begun. Keeping this administration at bay while we work toward ousting as many more Washington elites as possible in 2012 will not be easy. But keep them at bay we must, and we must educate our neighbors, so they understand the imperative.

Our job has just begun, and as Erik Rush mentions, we need to keep up our vigilance. There are many signs that Obama and elitist cronies in Washington D.C. are not about to give up on their radical left agenda, even though Obama got "shellacked" on November 2, 2010.

Like his key staff who have left, or are leaving. Just yesterday, the White House announced that press secretary Robert Gibbs would step down next month. It goes without saying that we can't expect the sort of analysis from the press that we used to; once upon a time, such defections would signal the death knell for an administration. The list of those staff members who started out with Obama and will remain with the president when he finishes his term is growing very short, but we're not to surmise it's like rats fleeing a sinking ship or anything.

So, is there any significance to the number of people leaving the Obama administration? Watch the following video, and then you decide.

Please note:  To see the following video, you must be logged in to Facebook.

It seems that Obama wants to change his appearance to look like a moderate, for the benefit of the Press. But look out, that may not be what is really happening! It may be to just get the Democrat machine rolling for 2012. Oh, wait... Make that the Chicago Machine.

Of course you realize this means war
ERIK RUSH

Shortly after the midterm election in November, the host of a news-analysis show asked me if I thought that President Obama would move to the center – or at least appear to do so – given the outcome of the election, or if I thought he didn't have it in him.

I responded emphatically that I believed the latter was the case, likening the president to some sort of B-movie genetically engineered creature who was bred expressly for the purpose of rendering the coup de grâce to a wounded America.

No, he didn't have it in him, and whatever his devices – even if his modus operandi were modified – the goals would remain the same.

And that's how things are turning out. The only conciliations this president appears to have made are in his words, and even many of those contain equivocation and sinister allusion to his intention to adhere to his unpopular – and more importantly, radical – agenda.

With respect to GOP overtures to repeal Obamacare, for example, the president said that he expects Republicans to "play to their base for a certain period of time." This infers a mere divergence in policy and political maneuvering on the part of the Democrats and the GOP.

But those days are over.

In short, it is war – a war between factions of socialist elites and constitutionalist, liberty-loving Americans. If this sounds a bit trite to you, that's fine, but if it sounds over-the-top, you're still hitting the snooze button.

It has never been more clear that all but a handful of politicians in Washington are America's enemies, and that these factions of ruling elites have no care for the fact that they are operating outside of the law. Obama's attitude belies the life-and-death struggle currently in progress. Rest assured that many career politicians do suppose that after this "certain period of time," they can all get back to politics as usual: Communists, socialists and plain old self-aggrandizing, avaricious politicians will resume gulping greedy draughts at the public teat, while hastily constructing arks of political and pecuniary means for their future escape.

It has also never been clearer that this administration, their kindred cronies and lawmakers intend to utterly disregard those who would preserve a semblance of this republic; the dialogue they employ for public consumption is, at this point, only for those who are already buying their lies. Our protestations are as irrelevant to them as a screaming toddler's insistence that he be allowed to drink from a bottle of bleach.

The record is replete with indicators of where President Obama intends to go, indicators that he has given even since November. From recess appointment, to net neutrality, to continued outrageous recreational expenditures, it is apparent (at least to many of us) that Obama and congressional Democrats intend to operate with all the arrogance of the preceding two years.

And then there are the subtler indicators that Obama will continue his effort to bring about a wholesale collapse of our economy and a rending of our social fabric – all the while blaming it on his predecessors.

$8 per gallon gas – if you can find it ~ By Henry Lamb

In a nutshell, Henry explains just how perverse Obama's energy agenda is. Henry explains how Obama cares more about his agenda than the American people. By cutting off the oil supply from the Gulf of Mexico, fuel prices will eventually skyrocket. In the mean time, with the economy already suffering, all those jobs from the oil rig workers will be gone, which of course will ripple through the rest of the economy of the Gulf Coast, and ultimately, the nation.

I have to ask anyone that voted for Obama if this was the kind of hope and change they were expecting?  Just sayin'...

A responsible administration and Congressional leadership would do whatever is required to fix the BP problem in the Gulf without shutting down domestic oil supplies. Next, they would open domestic reserves, on land and in the oceans, to environmentally safe development. A president who is more interested in his citizens' well being than in advancing his own agenda, would not try to force his citizens to use exotic alternative energy that costs much more than petroleum. It is apparent, of course, that Obama's first concern is his own agenda, regardless of what the people or the courts may say.

If America is to survive as the land of the free, it is imperative that the current leadership in Washington be removed and replaced with people who believe in the principles of limited government, free markets, private property, and individual freedom. Two years of leadership by the Obama-Reid-Pelosi trinity demonstrates contempt for these principles. The only reward worthy of their service is early and absolute retirement.

Following Rahm Emanuel's advice, the Obama administration is certainly not letting the Gulf oil crisis go to waste. The BP catastrophe is just what Obama needed to justify pushing his irresponsible energy policy on a weary nation. Obama wants to stop using fossil fuel in favor of more exotic alternative energy sources. He doesn't seem to know, or care, that there is no alternative energy technology that can meet the current energy demand. His actions suggest that if enough tax-generated government subsidies are applied, the technology will emerge.

His recent visit to Smith Electric Vehicles in Kansas City proved to be a dog and pony show to try to convince the nation that his $32 million grant to the firm to produce 500 trucks was well spent. This is a direct subsidy from taxpayers of $64,000 per truck, which, when offered in the marketplace will still cost twice as much as a comparable non-electric vehicle. This comes on the heels of a $2 billion grant to subsidize two solar plants.

So strong is his desire to wean Americans off fossil fuel that he immediately issued a six-month moratorium on drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. The order was issued as a safety precaution even though the 50,000 well holes drilled in the Gulf since 1947 have leaked far less oil than has been released through natural seepage. As tragic and expensive as the BP spill may be, its impact on the economy can't be compared to the loss of oil production from the Gulf.

Obama was only 12 when OPEC decided to turn off the oil faucet to the United States in 1973. At the time, OPEC supplied only about seven percent of our oil. Nevertheless, gasoline prices more than doubled, and supplies were sporadic, at best. Long lines formed at every gas station; cars with license plates that ended with odd numbers were allowed to purchase gas on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Cars with plates ending in even numbers could buy only on the other days of the week.

Oil from the Gulf supplies nearly ten percent of our petroleum requirement. By turning off this faucet, the price of gasoline will skyrocket, perhaps doubling, as it did in the 1970s.

Despite two court rulings against Obama's moratorium, he continues to insist that no drilling will be allowed. By refusing to issue permits, the Obama administration has effectively stopped Gulf oil production regardless of the courts' rejection of his moratoria.

The first wave of economic impact is already spreading across the 35,000 families that are directly employed by the Gulf oil industry. Each oil rig worker provides employment for three additional people who work in supporting industries. These jobs, too, are evaporating. The deepwater rigs cannot simply sit and wait in hopes that Obama might change his mind. The daily cost for a rig to sit and wait is about $600,000. Diamond Offshore has already announced that its Endeavor rig is moving to Egyptian waters. More will surely follow. Once these rigs are out of the Gulf, they will not soon return.

The second wave of economic impact will begin when prices at the pump begin to rise. Remember the spike in gas prices when hurricane Katrina shut down a few rigs for a few weeks. Now, imagine what the effect will be when there are no rigs in the Gulf, for the foreseeable future.

Listen to this column online.

The Great Pretender ~ By Robert Ringer

It is always more fun putting these blogs together when there is a relevant video to include, especially one that is entertaining. This one here was the perfect fit for Robert's column:

The Platters - The Great Pretender

Video provided by bintangtheater1

Of course, as fun as it is to entertain you for a few moments, I don't want the above video to distract you from what Robert was saying in this column. I noticed that Robert was mentioning Huckabee's show last week, where "He paraded out one guest after another – entrepreneurs, inventors, engineers and chemists – to present remarkable solutions for cleaning up the oil in the Gulf." And yet, Obama did nothing. It reminded me of what I wrote regarding Erik Rush's column last night, "It's the sabotage, stupid!" I wrote:

It's probably just me, but it's almost as if the Obama administration allowed the oil rig disaster and resulting spill to get as bad as it is so that there would be a much bigger crisis that they wouldn't let go to waste.
And this column by Robert Ringer seems to be even more support for my suspicions. Just sayin'...

Obama has been following FDR's dictatorial playbook to the T. In his 1937 inaugural address, at a time when unemployment was still rising (15 percent on Inauguration Day), FDR bodaciously said, "Our progress out of the Depression is obvious."

Sound familiar? It should. With the economy on the verge of total collapse, The Great Pretender continues to look his teleprompters in the eye and tell Americans how he's saved the country from a depression and that "the worst is now behind us." He always sounds so darn convincing when he says these things, but I hear through the White House grapevine that on at least one occasion after slinging this kind of B.S., he was overheard singing to himself in the Oval Office:
Oh yes, I'm the great pretender,
Pretending that I'm doing well.
My need is such, I pretend too much,
I'm lonely but no one can tell.
Lacking a really great crisis, The Great Pretender, hopefully, is going to feel a lot lonelier starting next January.

The Marxmeister in the White House now says he takes full responsibility for ending the oil mess in the Gulf. He also says he wants to "know whose a-- to kick," that he "can't suck it up with a straw," and … well, you know … the ongoing narcissistic spiel – "I, me, my … blah, blah, blah" – day after day, week after week, ad nauseam.

Watching his recent performances on the Gulf oil disaster made me think about a monster hit The Platters had in the '50s called "The Great Pretender." Little did they know that the champion Great Pretender wouldn't even be born until 1961 – probably in Kenya … but, then, no one is really sure about that because no one is allowed to see his birth certificate.

Everyone but 1) those on the far left, 2) Bill O'Reilly and 3) the loons (O'Reilly's word) who have yet to return from lunch realizes that The Great Pretender has had a Marxist agenda since even before his pot-smoking days at Columbia. Names like Wright, Ayers, Lloyd, Dunn, Sunstein, Holdren and Jones (both Jeff and Van) are well-known to those who have taken the trouble to learn about The Great Pretender's agenda.

As ever more people come to realize that the country has been hijacked by this angry young Marxist, many would argue that a better title for him might be The Great Reactor. Obama listens to the news – especially Fox News – then reacts to his critics by saying or doing whatever they accuse him of not saying or doing, or by changing his tune regarding something he's said or done that offends too many people. Sort of humorous to watch – if the fate of an entire country were not at stake, that is.

Perhaps I'm getting soft with age, but I almost feel sorry for The Great Pretender. His flipping and flopping and spinning and twisting and contradictions have become downright embarrassing. He's Abbott and Costello and Laurel and Hardy all rolled into one. I admit it – I'm truly embarrassed for him.

Now, of all people, Mike Huckabee – continuing his swift turnabout in an effort to make voters forget about his slobbering interview of Michelle Obama (who, he tried to convince us, wakes up every morning frantically worrying about childhood obesity) – has succeeded in making The Great Pretender look like an incompetent, arrogant boob.

Hopefully, you saw The Huckster's show last weekend. He paraded out one guest after another – entrepreneurs, inventors, engineers and chemists – to present remarkable solutions for cleaning up the oil in the Gulf. It truly was amazing to watch the simplicity of the methods presented, as contrasted with The Great Pretender's spending his time talking about kicking a--, wagging his finger at everyone and bending over and picking up a lonely tar ball on the beach in his daily photo-ops.

Was the oil spill really just an accident? Probably. BP America Chairman and President Lamar McKay recently said that it was caused by "a failed piece of equipment." I'll buy that, at least for now. But it doesn't matter. Rahm never said that you have to create a crisis. He already knew there are crises popping up all the time. All he said was that you should never allow a good one to go to waste.

In the case of the BP oil accident, it was a slam-dunk. More to the point, it was like unlocking the door to the EPA's cage. Obviously – surprise, surprise – offshore drilling is now out of the question, right?

So it puts a few hundred thousand people out of work (ripple effect) … so what? The progressive must do what he must do to protect "the people," even if it means taking away their jobs and giving them higher gas prices to boot. What in the world would we do without government to protect us?

So, yes, the BP crisis will not be wasted if it results in an end to offshore drilling. Nevertheless, I think The Great Pretender is going to have to come up with another crisis – or two – before November to pull off a number of miracles for the Demagogic Party.

Hey, this Cato Institute is doing something! ~ By Pat Boone

Hmmm.... This was not an easy column to write an intro for. Thanks a lot, Pat, you made me have to think a little harder than usual. But that's okay, because I may have learned a few things in the process.

So, as Pat wrote about the Cato Institute, I was wondering, what was his purpose? That was my main question. Within his commentary, Pat reminds us of this important fact: "This train called America is our train, we own and run it, and the engineer is our employee – it's not the other way around!" And further, Pat tells us that the Cato Institute "is leading the fight against the explosion of government growth." Edward Crane, President and founder of the Cato Institution, says:

...we're hardly 'hunkered down' – or alone. In fact, I have never seen our side more energized and clear-eyed in its commitment to reclaim our liberties and our government from the statists and redistributionists who infest our nation's capital.
And, who is "our side"? The Tea Party Movement, "the still-large majority of Americans who revere the Constitution and abhor big, intrusive an oppressive government." Pat goes on to mention that "Cato literally exists to further the kind of awakening exemplified in the tea-party rallies and marches – and in raucous town-hall meetings politicians increasingly fear to hold."

So, there you go. That is what Pat's column was about. Cato Institute is helping to awake Americans, and sets the example for what you and I need to keep on doing, just like I am doing on this blog... and I'm not even a think tank! Just sayin'...

Our citizens by the millions are demonstrating a growing grass-roots resistance to regimentation and governance by coercion and connivance, and this is terribly upsetting to Rahm Emanuel. Hallelujah!

Are you as frustrated as I am about the constant deluge of bad news, revelations of corruption and negligence and overreaching in government, the growing impression that we're on an out-of-control course, like Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train"?

Are you deeply concerned that an ultra-liberal, even leftist or socialist cabal in and around the White House is binding America with unpayable debt, unreasonable entitlements and unacceptable alterations in everything from education to health care to defense to energy supply? That the sacred Constitution is being shoved aside and misinterpreted by activist judges, from the bottom of the judicial system all the way up to the Supreme Court?

With the presidency and both houses of Congress under the thrall of people who proudly want to "fundamentally transform the United States of America," isn't it increasingly bothersome to you that you seem to have precious little to say about all this?

When up to 80 percent of polled Americans say they want to keep health care the way it has been – and our elected representatives, our "public servants," conspire openly to cram the unwanted policy into law and down our throats – doesn't that leave you wondering, as I have been, whatever happened to "We The People"?

Aside from the valiant media soldiers at Fox News, some talk-radio broadcasters and informative websites like this one, is there anybody doing anything to sound the alarms and apply the brakes on this runaway train?

Yes! Yes, there are some bodies, organizations, fellowships and activist think tanks confronting the engineer of this out-of-control administration train and alerting the passengers to get up and reassert control. This train called America is our train, we own and run it, and the engineer is our employee – it's not the other way around!

If we're going to change this destructive, ominous direction, we must be an aroused, informed, determined, organized … and even a sacrificing citizenry. Just being upset, and grousing and complaining, won't change anything.

In the late 1700s, aroused and persuasive patriots like Thomas Paine called effectively to our forefathers, spurring them to heroic action, which resulted in the formation of our republic. Samuel Adams led like-minded men to oppose oppression and even revolt against the armed oppressors, at great cost but greater victory. And you know, hopefully, about George Washington, Ben Franklin, John Adams and James Monroe.

After the dust settled and a new and vibrant nation was born, Thomas Jefferson warned, "Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty."

I want to shine a spotlight on one of the several patriotic groups that are performing today like these forefathers of ours did – the Cato Institute.

George Will said of the organization, "The Cato Institute is the foremost upholder of the idea of liberty in the nation."

Thankfully, there are other think tanks that might lay claim to that accolade, but Cato is at or near the top of the list. The University of Pennsylvania's index of "Global Go-To Think Tanks" ranks Cato fifth in the world. And a 2009 survey commissioned by Foreign Policy magazine of nearly 1,800 think tanks in America listed Cato among the top 10 overall and No. 1 in the category for "Top Think Tanks for Innovative Ideas."

Cato is a public-policy research organization, guided by the principles that animated the founders of this great nation. The distinguished University of Pennsylvania historian, Alan Kors, sees think tanks as a "market response to the intellectual conformity and stagnation in most American universities." In too, too many cases, our colleges are turning out mental robots, not truly educated, openminded and inquiring learners. But when confronted with incontrovertible facts and logical thought – many of these intelligent and potentially influential men and women can see the light.

The light of truth.

An alarm went off, loud and clear, when Barack Obama's chief of staff let slip the strategy behind the health-care power grab when he declared you should "never let a serious crisis go to waste. It's an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before." Since then, in a shocking display of arrogance and cunning, this administration has created an unfathomable level of "crisis"-related spending that will create at least $1 trillion of deficits per year, for the next decade.

As Cato has revealed, "The total potential federal government support could reach up to $23.7 trillion," according to Neil Barofsky, the special inspector general for the TARP program. Do you think the liberal media are going to report this to us? How can a citizenry protect itself when it doesn't have the real facts?

Bloomberg News, an objective media source, stated last December, "The few remaining limited-government types are hunkered down at Washington's Cato Institute."

Obama team's media blackout ~ By David Limbaugh

I was so happy to be reading David Limbaugh's column a few minutes ago. It was like a breath of fresh air. I read it immediately after reading that toxic garbage written by Bill Press, and it really did help to neutralize all that acid that was building up in my stomach. It helped to clear my mind. It lifted my spirits.

David's explanation of why the handlers like Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod need to keep Obama close to the teleprompter, and on script, was excellent. There are a few points that David made that I am sure you will catch, and his highly intelligent analysis will explain the media "blackout."

He might as well have just directly said it: "I don't like the free flow of information in the new media, which tends to impede the advancement of my agenda, which depends on keeping the public in the dark."

That is exactly the philosophy of his appointed "diversity czar," Mark Lloyd, who idolizes Hugo Chavez and believes freedom of speech must be subordinated to the left's "greater" societal goals, and of his Supreme Court nominee, Elena Kagan, who complained about the "overabundance" of ideas that might require government action to "un-skew."

Think about it: Without Rush Limbaugh and the rest of the New Media shining the light of truth daily, populist lies, such as that the Arizona law is racist and discriminatory, might go unchallenged.

The "most open and transparent" president in American history is still playing hide-and-seek with the press, and even the liberal New York Times has begun to notice it, as indicated by this headline: "Obama Turns His Back On the Press."

If the mainstream media were not so ideologically wedded to Obama's big-government agenda, they would be doing more than pointing out his secrecy and hypocrisy with the occasional headline. They'd be skewering him daily for his marked inaccessibility. Not having a genuine news conference since July would be remarkable for the least transparent administration, let alone one that made openness a signature campaign issue.

But not everyone in the leftist press is exercising such restraint about Obama's media blackout. CBS News' Chip Reid decided to ask Obama a question following his signing of the Freedom of the Press Act. Doing his best Hugo Chavez, Obama said, "I'm not doing a press conference today, but we'll be seeing you guys during the course of this week."

HotAirPundit posted a video of Reid explaining that he asked the question because the irony of Obama's signing the Freedom of the Press Act while rarely fielding questions "in impromptu situations" was "too rich to resist." Reid asked, "Mr. President, in the interest of press freedom, might you consider a couple of questions on BP?"

When Reid took Obama up on his noncommittal pledge and tried to ask him a question at the Rose Garden "news conference" with the president of Mexico a few days later, Obama ignored him.

This should surprise no one. A case could be made that Obama's never had a news conference that he hasn't largely controlled. He and his handlers, from David Axelrod to Rahm Emanuel, understand the importance of managing the press to control the message in the interest of advancing the leftist agenda.

They know that their statist goal of greatly expanding government depends on Obama's not revealing any more than necessary how radical to the core he actually is, because true transparency about his real agenda would be suicidal.

But his handlers also realize, even if Obama doesn't, that the less scripted he is the more difficult it is to manage the message. And they understand that he ought not be allowed to venture too far from the teleprompter very often, lest he demonstrate that his manufactured reputation both for eloquence and wisdom are, well, manufactured. Oh, yes, and don't let me forget those manufactured bipartisan myths, but surely no one is clueless enough to pay any attention to those anymore.

The battle is joined ~ By Pat Boone

Pat Boone talks about the wars going on. Not just the wars overseas, but the spiritual war that faces America. Pat alludes to the fact that we need to "pick a side," and one of those sides is spiritual.
You don't think Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan's stance against "don't ask, don't tell" and other "progressive" personal views have influenced his nominating her? His chief string-puller, Rahm Emanuel, meant it when he said, "Never let a crisis go to waste"; you think they'd let an historic opportunity to put a "progressive" like themselves on the Supreme Court go to waste?

More and more, as dismal and regrettable as it is, it's "us against them." It's traditional Americans, tea partiers, conservatives, hard-working families and most Christians and Jews – all having to actively oppose people that were elected to be our "public servants" and to represent our established dictates and values.

There can be no spiritual Switzerland. No neutrality. You're on one side or the other. You organize and take part and register and vote, determined with millions of us to take our government back. Or we'll all get what we deserve – a socialist, soulless, European-style humanistic, oppressively taxing, Big Brother government.

Let's not pussyfoot; let's say it plain, without equivocation: We're at war.

Yes, we're in a global military conflict again, on foreign soil. Once again, we've stepped into battles involving centuries-old animosities, and are sacrificing American lives in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. We're trying to defend America's interests while we cope with ancient hatreds and violence and evil intentions that have little to do with us. It's costing us a fortune in dollars and an incalculable cost in lives and resource.

But that's just one battlefield in the war. We're fighting for our survival on many fronts. Including at home, in our streets and neighborhoods.

For most of our existence as a nation, the United States has been the pre-eminent economy in the world. The dollar has been the standard against which all other currencies are valued. And now, in just a few years and a through a couple of administrations, we are clearly being over-obligated and driven toward irreversible bankruptcy.

The Fed is printing paper money like toilet tissue, as fast as the printing presses can go, creating billions of pieces of currency backed by … what? Mainly implicit promises that American taxpayers will find some way to pay off the debts, rebuild our fractured economic structure and magically instill new value to the paper.

And, from the White House and the clique controlling its policies, come more announcements of more spending – billions and billions on new government programs and bailouts of Greece and several other countries, and the inevitable likelihood of ever more taxes for Americans. All without any consent of the taxpayers themselves, from whom the trillions must come.

Friend, our government has no money of its own. It has to print more worthless paper or take it from you and me. We're at war, economically, with our own government!

And on the education front, in our courts and all along our porous borders, other battles are raging that literally will determine the survival of the America you and I inherited. Traditional, long-cherished values and principles are under continual assault from "progressive" teachers unions; and in our cities large and small, gangs and drug dealers run rampant, peopled in many cases by illegal aliens. Too many jurists feel they can create new law, personally favoring special groups or societal trends.

And now our president has nominated a new Supreme Court justice. She hasn't been a judge, and not much is known about her political views – other than her opposition, when she was dean of the Harvard Law School, to military recruitment on campus because she objected to the "don't ask, don't tell" law the military felt was necessary and fair.

Why is this another front in our present domestic war?

Don't cry for me, Arizona ~ By Burt Prelutsky

Burt reflects the opinion of many people across this land that support the new Arizona immigration law. In this column, he goes after the critics of the law that seem to be able to say whatever they want to, many of them that use race-baiting, hypocrisy, and lies about what the law does.
In my opinion, it should be a criminal act for anyone to compare the new law in Arizona in any way, shape or form to what took place in Nazi Germany. Hitler, in case it slipped your mind, was arresting, torturing and murdering Germans for no other reason than that they were Jews, Catholics, gypsies, invalids and homosexuals. Members of the Gestapo weren't simply asking to look at green cards and sending non-citizens back to Poland, France and Holland. They were sending them to Auschwitz.

Ironically, Article 67 of Mexico's Immigration Law states: "Authorities, whether federal, state or municipal, are required to demand that foreigners prove their legal presence in the country." In spite of which, President Calderon had the gall to compare our border fence to the Berlin Wall. Nobody bothered pointing out to the jackass that there's a world of difference between building a barrier to keep illegal aliens out and erecting one to prevent one's own citizens from escaping.

When you're a right-winger living in California, you tend to envy people who live elsewhere. For a long time, I've envied Texans. For one thing, judging by my e-mail, most of my biggest fans seem to live in the Lone Star State. But, also, aside from an occasional cretin like Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, Texans seem to elect more than their share of stalwart conservatives.

Another state I came to admire was Oklahoma. That was after discovering that it was the only state in the Union in which Obama failed to carry a single county in 2008.

Now, of course, I've lost my heart to Arizona. At last, a state has sounded the alarm about illegal aliens. Sure it was a long time coming, but at least Gov. Jan Brewer and the Arizona Legislature have finally stood up for the law of the land. Even John McCain, who has spent years sounding like an immigration lawyer, jumped aboard the bandwagon.

On the other side, we have virtually every hack politician with a Hispanic last name ready and eager to display his ignorance, bigotry and lack of patriotism. I mean, really, is there an uglier, more disgusting sight than a bunch of dunderheads complaining about racial profiling when their own actions and statements are based solely on race?

Arizona has been overrun by at least half a million illegals who have placed unbearable burdens on its schools, hospitals and emergency rooms. They have made Phoenix the kidnap capital of North America and turned its countryside into an open sewer for drug smugglers. It took the cold-blooded murder of an elderly rancher before the good folks of Arizona said, enough is enough.

We keep hearing the same stale propaganda that these sneaks are the people who'll do the jobs gringos won't. Well, I have a news flash: With unemployment hovering at 10 percent, if those jobs ever existed in the past, they don't exist today. Besides, why should they get the jobs that could go to people waiting patiently for their names to be called in Ghana, Poland and Vietnam?

The only people who oppose Arizona's new law – a law based, by the way, on our own federal law – are members of the Catholic Church hierarchy who are anxious to fill church pews; drug lords who want to maintain a steady flow of product, users and salesmen; President Calderon, who wants those American dollars to continue flowing south to keep the Mexican economy afloat; American politicians with names like Hernandez and Gomez, who want to increase their power base; and punks like Mayor Gavin Newsome who represent places as left and loony as San Francisco. We shouldn't overlook the DNC, an organization so corrupt that Mafia dons attend their seminars to pick up tips from the likes of James Carville and Rahm Emanuel.
