VIDEO: Liberals and Dems Are Firing Blanks When It Comes to Firearms

Patriotic Americans around the country are starting to get some very concerning vibes about these things that are happening, and the Obama administration's tendency to downplay the terrorist act, but then blame guns. What a shame it will be when people see the U.N. vehicles driving down the highway toward their town, and wonder why they didn't see it coming?

Liberals and Dems Are Firing Blanks When It Comes to Firearms ...

For those of you who have to grimace every time a liberal shows their lack of knowledge... Oh, wait. Let's call it what it is... ignorance about firearms, you're going to love this post, and you're going to love this page for posting it. It's sad, because it is misinformation, or disinformation, to try to get people to accept their gun control agenda. In this case, with what the liberals like Susan Serandon are saying, the truly low-info voters will be completely unaware of the facts, which will only help the liberal cause. Well, now, you have a WMD video when it comes to informing the ignorant!

Internet transition triggers GOP backlash ~ By Jessica Meyers and Erin Mershon

At least one right-leaning group called on lawmakers to intervene.

Congress needs to prevent the Obama administration from giving away U.S. control over the Internet to any international body,” Americans for Limited Government said in a statement. “Perhaps this latest egregious action by the Obama administration in their quest to deconstruct the United States will finally wake Congress up to their power of the purse responsibility as a co-equal partner in government.

And GOP FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly shared concern “that NTIA’s announcement could set the stage for foreign governments and quasi-governmental entities to try to gain control of the Internet.

If this goes forward, the real work will be to ensure that ICANN satisfies the conditions outlined and that these principles cannot and will not be undermined in the future,” he said. “The only acceptable Internet governance structure, other than the current one, is a multi-stakeholder model completely free from foreign government intrusion.
It was good that I didn't allow the missing Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 to occupy 100% of my time. This is a story that needed to get out. What is happening may be a lot on the insidious side. There may be a reason why this story wasn't at the top of the news, and came out on a Saturday. The old thing that we hear the government tell us: "Nothing to see here, folks, just move along, and watch some March Madness men's hoops..."

This is a much bigger story than the lamestream media will ever tell you about. It is all part of the pattern. Well, their plot will fail. There will be a lot of talk about this on Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh, and of course, here. There will be a MAJOR backlash!

And doesn't it annoy the heck out of you that the campaign that said "Yes We Can" is now saying NO! to ICANN? Just sayin'...

The Obama administration’s decision to relinquish oversight over the group that manages the Internet’s architecture has raised an early red flag with Republicans, who blast the move as a threat to free speech.

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers has managed the Web’s domain-name system under contract with the U.S. government for more than a decade — but the Los Angeles-based nonprofit has worked to transform itself into a global organization free of U.S. ties. European Union officials backed the globalization effort, which intensified with Edward Snowden’s leaks about the NSA’s sprawling surveillance programs.

The United States has always played a leading role in overseeing the management of .com and other domain names, but the administration announced Friday night that it will give up its oversight when the current contract expires in fall 2015. The European Commission, the EU’s executive arm, last month proposed establishing “a clear timeline” for globalizing ICANN and the duties it performs under the U.S. contract.

Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Sunday, Feb 5, 2012

It was a great Superbowl today. I enjoyed it, though I never picked which team I wanted to win or thought would win. Even with the last play of the game, the hail Mary into the end zone, I didn't care if it won the game or not. The good news is, the two teams did care about the outcome of that play. If they didn't, if they felt like I did, it never would have been much of a game to begin with.

At any rate, the game helped to take our minds off all that is going on in the world for a little while. Again, to start out with, you're being offered the opportunity to see what is going on with Iran lately, and what it may mean to the world in a very short amount of time. The possibilities of what could happen because of Iran's latest actions are numerous, and it could have a drastic affect on our lives. Let's just hope that things don't come to a climactic end like Superbowl XLVI (46) had. And we should hope that our government doesn't wait until it will take a Hail Mary to keep us safe.

The News Stories:

Israel, U.S. divided over timing of Iran strike
'Significant analytic difference' over how close Tehran is to shielding from attack
From Bloomberg ~ via WND.com ~ By Nicole Gaouette and Jonathan Ferziger - Feb 3, 2012 3:21 PM CT

The U.S. and Israel are publicly disagreeing over timing for a potential attack on Iran’s disputed nuclear facilities, as that nation’s leader said it won’t back down.

The U.S. and Israel have a “significant analytic difference” over estimates of how close Iran is to shielding its nuclear program from attack, Aaron David Miller, a former Mideast peace negotiator in the Clinton administration, said today.

“There’s a growing concern -- more than a concern -- that the Israelis, in order to protect themselves, might launch a strike without approval, warning or even foreknowledge,” he said in an interview.

The differing views were underscored by public comments this week by senior Israeli and U.S. defense officials.

Did Iran bribe China to torpedo U.N. vote?
Reported oil deal helps mask Islamist violence in Syria
From WND.com ~ By Aaron Klein ~ Published Feb 4, 2012

JERUSALEM – According to a senior Egyptian security official speaking to WND, Iran offered China a deal to purchase oil at a cheaper price in exchange for vetoing a U.N. resolution today that called on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to resign.

Assad’s regime has been facing a violent insurgency. The Syrian president’s security forces were accused of a massacre today shelling the insurgent stronghold of Homs, reportedly the bloodiest single day in the 11-month uprising.

Syrian officials, however, say well-armed Islamic extremists have been shooting at their forces and deliberately drawing retaliatory fire into civilian populations.

Russia and China torpedoed today’s resolution at the U.N. Security Council that endorsed an Arab League plan for Assad to hand power to a deputy to make way for a transition towards democracy.

Net data collection: Be very afraid!
Exclusive: Patrice Lewis figures her 'government dossier must be getting longer by the day'
From WND Commentary ~ By Patrice Lewis ~ Published Feb 3, 2012

PATRICE LEWIS
It was the tweet heard round the world. A young British couple on their way to America to sightsee tweeted to some friends that they were going to “destroy” America. Destroy in current British slang means party.

And for that unpardonable breech of etiquette, the couple was arrested, jailed, deported and banned from visiting our diverse and tolerant nation.

It doesn’t matter that our borders are porous and our elected officials ignore millions of undocumented aliens. It doesn’t matter that we have untold numbers of enemies in this country who have sworn (and sometimes carried out) death and destruction, and whose threats we disregard in the name of tolerance and diversity. But let a couple of kids tell their friends their intent to party in America and they’re sent packing. I’ll bet we taught them a lesson, by jingo.

When my husband first told me about this British couple, my question was, “How did the tweet come to the attention of the feds? Did one of their friends turn them in?”

First, They Came for the Catholics
The Obama administration is breaking with a compact that dates back to the Founding.
From National Review Online ~ via RenewAmerica.com ~ By Michelle Malkin ~ Feb 1, 2012 12:00 A.M.

MICHELLE MALKIN
President Obama and his radical-feminist enforcers have had it in for Catholic medical providers from the get-go. It’s about time all people of faith fought back against this unprecedented encroachment on religious liberty. First, they came for the Catholics. Who’s next?

This weekend, Catholic bishops informed parishioners of the recent White House edict forcing religious hospitals, schools, charities, and other health and social-service providers to provide “free” abortifacient pills, sterilizations, and contraception on demand in their insurance plans — even if it violates their moral consciences and the teachings of their churches.

NARAL, NOW, Ms. magazine, and the Feminist Majority Foundation all cheered the administration’s abuse of the Obamacare law to ram abortion down pro-life medical professionals’ throats. Femme dinosaur Eleanor Smeal gloated over the news that the administration had rejected church officials’ pleas for compromises: “At last,” she exulted, the Left’s goal of “no-cost birth control” for all had been achieved.

The target is Obama!
From RenewAmerica.com ~ By Henry Lamb ~ January 29, 2012

HENRY LAMB
Many people are convinced that this President has done more to destroy the United States in three years than all the other presidents combined. The only hope of preventing another four years of even more drastic destructive policies is the election of one of the four remaining Republican candidates. The two frontrunners are using their time and resources, even on national television where they can be seen by the public, arguing over whether Newt's consulting contract with Freddie Mac is "lobbying," or whether Mitt is a moderate. Wake up gentlemen; the target is Obama!

There are only a few fleeting months before people will go to the polls to choose America's next leader. The candidates should not waste a moment trying to tear each other down. The target is Obama. People need to know about his destructive policies and how they are destroying America.

They need to know that Obama speaks in a highly specialized language of deceit and misdirection. For example, his EPA has been studying the Keystone Pipeline project for three years. It could have been approved at least two years ago, or rejected, were identified and documented flaws found. But no, Obama decided to put off a decision until after the 2012 election in an effort to appease both his environmental and union friends. This action blocked as many as 20,000 well-paying private-sector jobs that could begin immediately, and produce another 100,000 jobs as the pipeline began operation.

This action follows months of Obama telling the American people that his first priority is jobs, jobs, jobs.

The vision inside
From The Daily Motivator ~ By Ralph Marston ~ Saturday, Feb 4, 2012

Achievement flows from the inside out. To experience an exceptional life on the outside, you must nurture exceptionally positive values on the inside.

You cannot be angry, resentful, envious or cynical on the inside and expect to achieve anything of value. No matter where you might attempt to direct it, your negativity hurts you more than anyone else.

The great thing is, you can experience an outstanding life if you will constantly and persistently envision an outstanding life. That positive vision will itself drive your actions to ensure its own fulfillment.

There is great and unique beauty living within you. Connect with it, acknowledge it, express it and watch as your actions create corresponding beauty in the world around you.

The county that struck back against U.N. ~ By Henry Lamb

Toward the end of the column, Henry asks this question:
With a deficit of $1.65 trillion dollars, growing by billions of dollars every day, why are HUD, DOT and the EPA trying so hard to spend money the nation does not have, on a program that the nation does not need, that will impose government-mandated restrictions on behavior that the people do not want?
The quote above, along with this great column, should be enough to get a few people woken up to the fact that federal mandates are influenced by the U.N., and it is taking funds that we don't have in order to get states and local jurisdictions to bow down to globalists that we do not even elect.

Editor's note: Listen to this column online.

Local governments have two fundamental responsibilities: 1) protect the rights of the citizens; and 2) provide the services the citizens authorize. To meet these responsibilities, local elected officials must look to the future and anticipate what services their citizens may want, and construct plans to meet those needs. This kind of planning will be referred to as Planning 101.

Since 1992, with the emergence of Agenda 21, the entire concept of planning has undergone a major transformation. This new kind of planning will be referred to as Planning 102. Planning 102 is not concerned about protecting the rights of citizens. Planning 102 is not concerned with what services the citizens of a community might want in the future. Planning 102 is the art of transforming existing communities into the utopian communities envisioned in Agenda 21, and shoe-horning local citizens into them.

This process began in 1993 with President Clinton's executive order that created the President's Council on Sustainable Development, which focused primarily on transforming urban centers into "sustainable communities." The process continues now, with President Obama's executive order that created the White House Rural Council, which focuses primarily on the 16 percent of the population who live on 80 percent of the rural landscape.

Government termites ~ By Henry Lamb

These are only a few ways the progressive termites are eating away at the foundations of freedom in America. Where is the exterminator? Every person who is old enough to vote is a potential exterminator of the elected officials who support or allow measures that erode freedom. Throughout the next 18 months, tens of thousands of officials and candidates will confront a ballot box. Unless the potential exterminators use their unique power to banish the termites eating away at America's freedoms, the house that freedom built will surely fall.

Another new exterminator at the ballot box is born: In the Facebook comments section on this WND column, Cheryl Rickards wrote, "Interesting. I hadn't heard of Agenda 21 before. And, the Termites [sic] analogy is all too perfect.

Cheryl gets it!

Well, I was pretty sure that there seemed to be no interest in such a minor issue as "sustainable development," and its link to the U.N.'s Agenda 21. Fortunately, though, a reader of the column wrote a comment stating that it was "interesting." And here I was beginning to see little reason to be increasing awareness of this little piece of the puzzle.

No, I know, it's hard to get people's attention anymore, especially when we're just talking about our freedom. It isn't like we're being shipped to internment camps in railroad cars. It isn't like we're suffering with a lack of food, a collapsed economy, or hyper-inflation... That couldn't happen here, right?

And all this time, we just thought it was the good ol' boys network that made sure their buddies got on the local planning commissions so that certain land developers and construction companies would prosper. Just a little corrupt, but hey, at least it isn't like a bunch of Communists want to eliminate our freedom by taking away our property rights.

Of course, the above paragraph was written with sarcasm intended. Our freedoms are in danger. There are scary people that want to control our every move, if they can. There is only one antidote, and that is to make sure a few people out there are aware, especially those who won't hesitate to make others aware. (And by the way, I hate that "awareness" label, as it is easy to picture Hollywood celebrities trying to spread "awareness" about their various personal special interests.)

With all of the above being said, it doesn't seem like people are willing to be all that emotional about the possibilities of losing our freedom. I'm frightened by the fact that a reader of Henry's column wasn't aware of Agenda 21, but I am encouraged by knowing that one more person IS aware of it now.

Wouldn't you know it? I realized that there was one more thing for me to worry about. It isn't so much that there are multitudes that read this story. The real important thing is that the multitudes begin to understand the significance of our Freedom. I'm just sayin'...

Government termites
HENRY LAMB
By Henry Lamb

July 16, 2011 ~ 1:00 am Eastern

© 2011

Editor's note: Listen to this column online.

Termites don't care whether there's a hurricane or tornado raging outside. They just keep chomping away at the foundation of their host structure. Homeowners care. When a hurricane, tornado or storms threaten, homeowners do whatever they can to prevent their home from blowing away. Rarely are they even aware that the termites are chomping away, night and day, rain or shine – until it's too late to save the structure.

Advocates for Agenda 21 and sustainable development operate a lot like termites. It doesn't matter to them whether hurricanes, tornados, debt ceilings or deficits are in the news. They try to operate well below the headlines – and just keep chomping away at private property rights, individuals freedoms, free markets and the foundational pillars of the host governing system. They chomp away at city council meetings, at county commission meetings, at "visioning sessions" and anywhere else they can get their teeth into an unsuspecting official who still thinks Agenda 21 is just a conspiracy theory and that the word "sustainable" means "acceptable" to the green lobby.

When a visioning process blossoms into a comprehensive land-use plan for the county that is adopted by local elected officials, no one puts the spotlight on the provision that requires all landowners to get permission from the government for any proposed land-use change. In Los Angeles County, no one put the spotlight on the provision that subjected property owners to eviction and forfeiture of their property when they failed to bring their property up to the new codes contained in the plan.

Advocates of Agenda 21's sustainable development did not want people who live outside the Urban Boundary Zones in Richland County, S.C., to know that the value of their property fell to nearly zero when their county plan denied all development possibilities.

Advocates of Agenda 21's sustainable development often believe that capitalism is obsolete, that government must manage the marketplace. Congress was dominated by people who share this belief when they voted in 2007 to ban the incandescent light bulb, forcing people to buy a light bulb that cost five times as much, and was made in China.

These folks applaud actions by the Environmental Protection Administration that seek to force car manufacturers to increase their mileage efficiency to more than 56 miles per gallon. Like termites chomping at the foundation of a structure, government continues to take bits and pieces of freedom from its citizens. Unless someone calls the exterminator, the great structure freedom built will inevitably collapse.

What could be bad about 'sustainability'? ~ By Henry Lamb

Sustainable development as defined in Agenda 21, regardless of how it is repackaged and resold, must be rejected at every level of government.

The purpose of government is not to redistribute wealth. The purpose of government is not to protect the environment. The purpose of government is to protect the inalienable rights of its citizens, and to defend those citizens from all enemies both foreign and domestic. When government fulfills this purpose, every person has an equal right to pursue personal happiness to the maximum extent of his abilities. No person is entitled to the wealth of another, regardless of Agenda 21 or any other U.N. declaration. Any person whose property or environment is damaged by another is entitled to recover those damages in court. This, too, is a legitimate function of government.

Activity that is, and is not, sustainable should be determined by nature, not by government. Sustainability is just the latest disguise government is using to shroud its incessant quest to control its citizens.

"And an unknowing public drinks the progressive Kool-Aid." Those are the words that Henry Lamb wrote in his column that has led me to choose it for review in this blog. I will do my best to explain why those words are so vital in fitting the information Henry provides us with into the bigger picture of the puzzle.

In order to illustrate my point, it will take more than just this column. I do not normally do this, but this column, which Henry wrote a week ago, will be followed up by my discussion of this week's column by Henry.

Clearly, a new Facebook friend, Danna Reubin, had it right, when she wrote on a group post the following:

Some Newspeak (see: Orwell, Gorege 1984) feel free to add to the list:
  • Gun Collection: Arsenal of Weapons
  • Swamp: Delicate Wetlands
  • Illegal Alien: Undocumented Worker
  • Synthetic Fiber: Cruelty-Free Materials
  • Well-protected: Heavily Armed
  • Righteous: Narrow-minded
  • Coerced Theft: Taxes / Your Fair Share
  • Gun Confiscation: Commonsense Gun Control
  • Stump Removal Powder: Illegal Hazardous Explosives
  • Unborn Baby: Nonviable Tissue Mass
  • Socialism: Equal Access to Opportunity
  • High Crime Area: Multicultural Community
  • Marxism: Fairness / Social Progress
  • Self-Employed: Upper Class / "The Rich "
  • Big Government Scheme: Progressive, Change
  • Bums /Welfare Leeches: Homeless or Disadvantaged
  • Scoped Deer Rifle: Sniper Rifle
  • Higher Taxes: Investment For the Future
  • Socialized Medicine: Healthcare Reform
  • Conservative: Extremist, Judgmental, or Hater
  • Homeschoolers: Truants
  • Criminal or Lazy Good-For-Nothing: Victim or Oppressed
  • Standard Capacity Magazine: High Capacity Magazine
  • Church-going: Religious Zealot
  • Employer or Land Owner: Exploiters / "The Rich "
  • NRA Members: The Gun Lobby
  • Semi-Auto (Grandpa's M1 Carbine): Assault Weapon
  • New Taxes and Higher Taxes: Fiscal Stimulus
  • Chinese Mercury-Laden Light Bulbs: Mandated Eco-Friendly Lighting
Do you get the idea? Words are twisted, and re-defined, for a purpose.  I believe that you will discover the purpose when you read Henry's column, "What could be bad about 'sustainability'?

Well, here's my plan: I'm publishing this because I want to make sure that there will be no "unsuspecting official who still thinks Agenda 21 is just a conspiracy theory and that the word 'sustainable' means 'acceptable' to the green lobby." That is part of the point that Henry Lamb makes in his next column, which you will soon read about in, "Government termites." There must not be any reason - no excuse - for an elected official to claim "ignorance" of what is now public knowledge. "Sustainable development" is being exposed as just another way for your freedom to be gnawed away by those that want to run your life. I'm just sayin'...

What could be bad about 'sustainability'?
HENRY LAMB
By Henry Lamb

July 09, 2011 ~ 1:00 am Eastern

© 2011

Editor's note: Listen to this column online.

To ordinary people, the word sustainable is an adjective that means the activity the word describes can continue forever. For example, since biblical days, farmers practiced sustainable agriculture by leaving their fields fallow every seventh year. In early America, farmers knew that for agriculture to be sustainable, the same crop could not be planted in the same field year after year. Sustainable agriculture has always been practiced by successful farmers. Farmers who didn't practice sustainable agriculture inevitably failed.

The United Nations has given the word sustainable a new definition. Introduced to the world in "Our Common Future," the report of the 1987 U.N. Commission on Environment and Development, and further defined in the U.N.'s "Agenda 21" at the U.N. Conference on Environment and Development, the term "sustainable" was married to the term "development," and a brand new concept entered the world. The term "sustainable development" means any activity that has economic impact, and is equitable, and has no negative environmental impact. All three elements are required to qualify as "sustainable development."

There can be no development without economic impact, of course; nothing new here. "Equitable," however, is a new requirement. Equitable means social justice, which means, as a beginning point, equal benefit from the earth's resources. Progressives have expanded the definition to include such things as a right to housing, health care and a livable wage, but at the very least, equitable means redistribution of wealth from those who have earned it to those who have not. To meet this requirement of sustainable development, government must empower agents to take wealth from one segment of the population and give it to others.

To be sustainable, according to the U.N. definition, development must have no negative environmental impact. This requirement demands a monitor of development activity and a judgment made to determine whether the activity results in a negative environmental impact. This monitor and judge is necessarily some entity empowered by government. Development that fails to meet these requirements is, by definition, not sustainable. Development that meets these requirements is declared by government to be sustainable.

Therefore, sustainable development is government-approved development.

In the context of sustainable development, any activity government describes as sustainable must be a government-approved activity. Sustainable agriculture, despite the fact that agriculture has been practiced sustainably since biblical days, must now be government-approved to enjoy the sustainable label. Government has now applied the word sustainable to communities, which means that for a community to be sustainable it must be government-approved.

Proponents of sustainable development, inside and outside the government, downplay this fundamental element of sustainable development. Instead, they tout the benefits to the environment of sustainable programs that promote recycling, renewable energy, conservation and the like. And an unknowing public drinks the progressive Kool-Aid.

Libya bombing an attempt to create 'New World Order'?

Soros himself outlined the fundamentals of Responsibility to Protect in a 2004 Foreign Policy magazine article entitled "The People's Sovereignty: How a New Twist on an Old Idea Can Protect the World's Most Vulnerable Populations."

In the article, Soros said "true sovereignty belongs to the people, who in turn delegate it to their governments."

"If governments abuse the authority entrusted to them and citizens have no opportunity to correct such abuses, outside interference is justified," Soros wrote. "By specifying that sovereignty is based on the people, the international community can penetrate nation-states' borders to protect the rights of citizens.

"In particular, the principle of the people's sovereignty can help solve two modern challenges: the obstacles to delivering aid effectively to sovereign states, and the obstacles to global collective action dealing with states experiencing internal conflict."

This story really isn't all that shocking for those of us that have been watching Glenn Beck's program on Fox News or listening to his radio show. It also won't shock us that George Soros is involved with Ramesh Thakur's organization, the International Governance Innovation Centre.

The reason why the United States became involved with establishing the "no-fly zone" has been in debate, and the attempt to explain or justify it has increased in intensity because of the use of force against Moammar Gadhafi's ground forces to aid the "rebels," which seems to be much more than what the original mission was stated to be. In this story, Aaron Klein has uncovered evidence that the entire mission was much more than what we have been told by Obama and his state-controlled media.

Shock admission by author of doctrine used by White House to justify attacks

By Aaron Klein

March 28, 2011 ~ 8:25 pm Eastern

© 2011 WorldNetDaily

JERUSALEM – The author of a military doctrine used by the Obama administration to justify the recent airstrikes targeting the regime of Moammar Gadhafi in Libya recently advocated for a "global rebalancing" and "international redistribution" to create a "New World Order."

RAMESH THAKUR
The author, Ramesh Thakur, is a fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation, which is in partnership with an economic institute founded by philanthropist billionaire George Soros. Thakur is also closely tied with other Soros-funded initiatives.

WND was first to report last week that Soros is also a primary funder and key proponent of the global organization that promotes the military doctrine "Responsibility to Protect," cited by the White House as allowing the use of force to attack Gadhafi's forces.

The joint U.S. and international air strikes targeting Libya are widely regarded as a test of Responsibility to Protect – a set of principles, now backed by the United Nations, based on the idea that sovereignty is not a privilege but a responsibility that can be revoked if a country is accused of "war crimes," "genocide," "crimes against humanity" or "ethnic cleansing."

The term "war crimes" has at times been indiscriminately used by various U.N.-backed international bodies, including the International Criminal Court, or ICC, which applied it to Israeli anti-terror operations in the Gaza Strip. There has been fear the ICC could be used to prosecute U.S. troops.

Now WND has learned that Thakur, one of the principal authors of and original commissioners of the "Responsibility to Protect doctrine," argued recently for a global realignment.

In a piece last March in the Ottawa Citizen newspaper, "Toward a new world order," Thakur wrote, "Westerners must change lifestyles and support international redistribution."

He was referring there to a United Nations-brokered international climate treaty in which he argued, "Developing countries must reorient growth in cleaner and greener directions."

In the opinion piece, Thakur then discussed recent military engagements and how the financial crisis has impacted the U.S.

"The West's bullying approach to developing nations won't work anymore – global power is shifting to Asia," he wrote.

"A much-needed global moral rebalancing is in train," he added.

Thakur continued: "Westerners have lost their previous capacity to set standards and rules of behaviour for the world. Unless they recognize this reality, there is little prospect of making significant progress in deadlocked international negotiations."

Thakur contended "the demonstration of the limits to U.S. and NATO power in Iraq and Afghanistan has left many less fearful of 'superior' western power."

GEORGE SOROS

Thakur's International Governance Innovation Centre is in partnership with the Institute for New Economic Thinking, or INET, for which Soros is a founding sponsor.

The philanthropist agreed to provides $25 million over five years to support INET activities.

Just last week, INET was in the news for its announcement of its annual four-day economic symposium to be held next month in the mountains of Bretton Woods, N.H.

The gathering of economic giants will take place at Mount Washington Hotel, famous for hosting the original Bretton Woods economic agreements drafted in 1944. That conference's goal was to rebuild a post-World War II international monetary system. The April gathering has a similar goal in mind – a global economic restructuring.

New U.N. treaty in the making? ~ By Henry Lamb

Carroll County and Amador County, Calif., have terminated their contracts with ICLEI thanks to local organizations providing information to newly elected commissioners. Tea-party and 9/12 groups are joining the battle across Florida and throughout the nation.

Progressive proponents of Agenda 21 and so-called sustainable development are fighting this backlash with their usual "denigrate and ridicule the messenger" tactic. When the facts are learned, however, those who honor the Constitution and individual freedom reject Agenda 21 and the sustainable development it prescribes.

There is no shortage of well-documented information on this subject. The organizations listed have excellent resources on their websites. When this new treaty is advanced, it will be important to nip it in the bud as quickly as possible. It will take an army of well-informed patriots to kill it. Let's get prepared.
Patriots, tea-partiers and 9/12ers, I urge you to pay close attention to this latest column by Henry Lamb. In this edition, you will learn about "Agenda 21 and the sustainable development it prescribes." Henry explains how a U.N. conference to be held in Rio de Janeiro in 2012 will be trying to push more freedom-killing environmental agenda on the world, "all designed to strengthen global governance and tighten the noose around the people who still believe in individual freedom and free-market capitalism."

Editor's note: Listen to this column online.

Next year will be the 20th anniversary of UNCED (United Nations Conference on Environment and Development), the largest collection of environmental zealots ever assembled. For the celebration, the U.N. has again designated Rio de Janeiro to host the UNCSD (United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development).

There is no way to count the dollars that have been wasted over the last 20 years by people attending thousands of U.N. meetings around the world, all designed to strengthen global governance and tighten the noose around the people who still believe in individual freedom and free-market capitalism. The U.N. Commission on Sustainable Development is but one of many U.N. organizations and agencies that conduct multiple international meetings each year. Last month, U.N. meetings on sustainable development alone were occurring 22 of the 28 days somewhere in the world. This U.N. Commission is responsible for implementing Agenda 21 across the entire planet. They have been exceedingly successful.

For the past few years, this Commission has been conducting regional meetings every few months in preparation for the 2012 blowout in Rio. This 20-year anniversary party is expected to produce an even larger crowd than the 1992 event, and many U.N. watchers believe that it will produce a new treaty.

This is not idle speculation. Folks who dare read the U.N. mumbo-jumbo illustrated by A/RES/64/236 from March 31, 2010, will quickly recognize the meaning of Article 20(b), which says: "The Conference will result in a focused political document."

What is a "focused" political document? To advocates of global governance this means a legally binding U.N. treaty. This effort has been under way since at least 1998 when a draft "Covenant on Environment and Development" was circulated by the United Nations Environment Program. Just in case the advocates cannot generate sufficient support to get a treaty or a covenant adopted at the 2012 shindig, they will be able to call the "focused political document" a plan of action, until they can build more support, and thus avoid the appearance of failure.

Skeptics who refuse to believe that sustainable development has anything to do with the U.N. should examine RIO2012, one of many official U.N. websites that promote sustainable development.

The concept of sustainable development has permeated all the agencies of the federal government and is washing across the nation, infecting state and local governments.

The goal is control ~ By Henry Lamb

It is not just a coincidence that the Communist Manifesto calls for the abolition of private property.
Henry's statement above explains everything about the U.N., and why the control of land is so important to the U.N. and the globalists:
Until 1976, private ownership of land was the desired goal of government in the United States. The policy changed officially when William K. Reilly, Carla A. Hills and others endorsed the policy statement of the U.N. Conference on Human Settlements. The preamble to this statement says:
Private land ownership is a principal instrument of accumulating wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice. Public control of land is therefore indispensable.
I hope that when you hear the buzz words and phrases such as social justice, environmental protection, global warming, and energy conservation, you will remember this column. Henry ties all of the reasons for the control of land use together, and you will see that the United Nation's ultimate goal is global governance based on a Communist economic structure. In order to accomplish that goal, it appears that there would be a need to neuter the United States by reducing our ability to harness the vast energy resources that the U.S. economy needs for the country to prosper.

This is why we need to get patriotic people into Congress and state legislatures to stop the assault on the sovereignty of the United States, and ultimately, our freedom.

Which is more important: reduce America's dependence on foreign energy sources, or add 2.85 million acres to the existing 200 million acres of protected areas? According to the United Nations, 27 percent of the total land area in the United States is already locked up in some kind of protected area, along with 67 percent of the total marine area. This means, of course, that there can be no development of energy or other natural resources in 27 percent of the nation's land and 67 percent of the nation's marine resources.

Only the most avid preservationist, or the most anti-American, could possibly choose to lock up the nation's natural resources rather than develop them. Nevertheless, the federal government continues to block readily available and affordable energy development while subsidizing, at great public expense, the development of exotic energy sources such as wind and solar. There is much more than the discredited global-warming scare driving this ongoing obsession to lock up natural resources.

The goal is control In order to control people, the government must control the use of land. Control of the use of land includes control of the use of natural resources. Energy is the fuel that produces prosperity, and the government bureaucracy has decided that it will control access to energy by controlling the use of land and marine resources.

Since the Carter administration, the land management agencies of the federal government have been taken over by environmental-extremist organizations. Footnote 30 in this document identifies many such characters added to the administration by President Clinton. In an effort to appease the green crowd, both Bush 41 and 43 continued the practice. The Obama administration is replete with environmental extremists and individuals whose public statements strongly suggest an anti-American bent. Consequently, the lock-up of land and its resources continues.

Feds say global governance at 'critical juncture' ~ By Henry Lamb

"[G]lobal governance is here, here to stay, and driven by economic and environmental globalization, global governance will inevitably expand."
So, do you still want to say or believe that there is no move toward a one world (global) government? Henry Lamb provides the absolute proof of it in this column, through the links and youtube videos (seen below).

The next question we need to ask you is, do you believe that Barack Hussein Obama and his henchmen are playing a big part in the move toward the global government? The truth is, Obama is not the first President to be pushing us toward losing our sovereignty. The Progressives have been on this quest since early in the 20th Century, beginning with Woodrow Wilson. However, Obama, through his administration and the Pelosi and Reid controlled Congress, is attempting to move us as quick as possible down the path toward their end game, as you will read about here and in many other columns by Henry Lamb. For those of you that just don't yet believe that, I'm hoping that you will begin to investigate this for yourselves.

And then, there are the people that either don't care, or that actually want a global government. For those that don't care, I am praying that they eventually realize that if the progressive globalists get their way, it will be the end of America and freedom as we know it. For those that want the global government, I've got news for them. It will have to be done against the will of the people. The Tea Party Movement is going to be standing in the way. Patriots are going to be working hard to get the progressive global elitists out of office on November 2.

But the problem - no, make that the real danger - is what the current Congress will attempt to do in the lame duck session after the election. Should the legislation with the globalist agenda be passed and signed into law, there's going to be a real problem that will need to be resolved. Any legislator that votes for any of that legislation will be going against the will of the people.  We will need to be praying that resolution will be peaceful.  Just sayin'...

No wonder the new U.N.-E.U. report forecasts global governance. They claim the prospects for global governance are at a critical juncture because despite Obama's support, their agenda has met significant opposition within the U.S. and in other countries. It is clear that the governments of the U.S. and the European Union are eager to continue expanding global governance. No combination of nations can stop the U.S. and the E.U. in their quest.

The only power sufficient to stop this agenda is the power of American voters who care enough to turn out the current majority in Congress, in a dress rehearsal for turning out the current administration in 2012.

Editor's note: Listen to this column online.

Pundits and politicians who giggle and point fingers at people who dare refer to global governance display their ignorance, or their duplicity. The U.S. National Intelligence Council, and the European Union's Institute for Security Studies has just released a report called: Global Governance 2025: At a Critical Juncture.

This 82-page document discusses quite openly the current status of global governance and the likelihood of global governance maturing into full-fledged global government. Those who scoff at the reality of global governance are to be pitied for their ignorance or despised for their duplicity. As Gustave Speth, former director of the World Resources Institute and head of the U.N. Development Program, said in 1997:
"[G]lobal governance is here, here to stay, and driven by economic and environmental globalization, global governance will inevitably expand."

Video provided by henryzeke

Speth's belief was confirmed in November 2009 by Herman Van Rompuy, president of the European Union Council, who said "Global governance is the global management of our planet."

Video provided by TCCTV

The new U.S.-E.U. report defines global governance to be "the collective management of common problems at the international level" and says that global governance is at a critical juncture.

The United Nations Development Program, in its 1999 report, defines global governance to be "the framework of rules, institutions, and practices that set limits of the behavior of individuals, organizations and companies."

Both the U.N. and the new U.S.-E.U. report are quick to say that global governance in not global government. The new report describes global government as the exercise of sovereignty through a hierarchical system of authority, while global governance is a voluntary arrangement of shared sovereignty among nations.

If global governance has the power to "limit the behavior of individuals, organizations, and companies," then such actions are, indeed, the exercise of sovereignty, even if that sovereignty has been voluntarily surrendered to an international institution such as the World Trade Organization or to an international treaty.

Dancing around the semantics is simply a diversion in an attempt to appease, distract or discredit the opponents of global governance. The indisputable fact is that global governance has advanced dramatically in the last two decades and is moving forward even faster under the Obama administration.
