By Joseph Farah Posted: June 22, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Until the weekend, everyone was wondering why Barack Obama was AWOL on the popular uprising in Iran over a rigged election that returned to power Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the anti-Semite, Holocaust-denying little Hitler. Obama, who seems to hold a press conference on something just about hourly, had, until Saturday, apparently not decided who is right and who is wrong in Iran. I had a different thought. Maybe Obama's long silence was intentional. Maybe, just maybe, he doesn't really have any problem with what the mullahs are doing in Iran. And maybe, just maybe, he couldn't care less about the sacrifices being made in the streets of Iran by those freedom fighters. Let's think about this:Has Obama ever given any indication he has a problem with electoral fraud? On the contrary, he is a former lawyer for ACORN. Voter fraud is what ACORN does. He's a politician from Cook County, Ill. Are successful politicians from Cook County averse to voter fraud? On the contrary, it's what they do. Do you think Ahmadinejad's repeated threats to destroy Israel keep Obama awake at night? Somehow I don't think so. This is a man who openly espouses carving up Israel geographically – placing it in a position for a slow death. Maybe he sees Ahmadinejad's final solution as more merciful. Ahmadinejad was a disciple of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who coined the term "Great Satan" to describe the U.S. Obama, meanwhile, spends much of his time apologizing for America's excesses of the past and dismantling the institutions and ideals that made it great. Do you really think Obama sees Ahmadinejad and the mullah regime as his enemies? Or, do you think as I do, that he believes his real enemy is personified more by Rush Limbaugh?See, I think we're all missing the point as to why Obama took so long to condemn the Iranian tyrants and failed to give even moral support to the protesters in the street who risked their lives for freedom.
