Dark Days Ahead ~ Ep. 1439 ~ The Dan Bongino Show

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode in his Show Notes (a.k.a. Newsletter!):
In this episode, I warn America about the dark days ahead. We need to have open eyes to the pending threats to liberty and freedom. I finish the show on an optimistic note about the possibilities for fixing this disaster.

He was a pioneer in the Conservative radio talk show genre.  He did it with half of his brain tied behind his back, just to make it fair.  And he was right 99.8% of the time.  Yes, if you've been around in the last 30+ years, you know who I am talking about.  Rush Limbaugh lost his battle with cancer, as many of us expected to be the outcome.  But, in his passing, he sent us a strong message.  We have to pick up "our game," we're going to need to work very hard to fill that void, and provide our voices, if we want to stay free.

Because I know that Dan Bongino would prefer that I embed the Rumble.com video here, I am now doing that! It finally came to me how to do it, and I am very pleased, because it doesn't require me to use the JavaScript code to do it! So, when you are watching, you will not be seeing it via youtube.com again. Nope, not here. Ever!  No more screwtube embedded video here! Forevs! So, it's now RUMBLE all the way, Dan.  For Dan's show page on Rumble.com, click here.

Be sure to see the SHOW NOTES for Episode 1439 for related news stories.

Leftist Will Never Leave You Alone ~ Ep. 1300 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode on youtube.com/Bongino or in his Show Notes:
In this episode, I address the troubling policy being pushed by radical leftists in the Senate which could become reality if Biden wins in 2020. I also discuss the mounting evidence that the Democrats’ efforts to keep your kids out of school are solely political.
Folks, I'm not kidding, this truly was the best episode I've seen yet! I love the fact that it was a very round number, 1300, but totally insignificant, I'm sure, unless you are really into numerology or some devilish thing... Yeah, 13... But here is something that I found so strangely significant for my own psychological wellbeing. Really. I swear that I didn't go back and add it in or anything, I didn't edit the previous blog to plug it in. I'm just telling you, it is weird, in a fascinating way.

As I was trying to finish my previous blog post that I wrote (now) yesterday, I ended the last paragraph with, "This part will knock your socks off, maybe even nuke your bagels. Dan hits it out of the park." Seriously, I had no idea how this episode would end, with Dan's final words, until I got a chance to watch this episode just now. So, obviously, Dan had not read my previous post yet, as I just got it done and posted it an hour or two ago. But for some reason, when I was writing a while ago, that phrase just came to me, that, "Dan hits it out of the park."  And then I saw this jam packed episode, and to end the week (it was last Friday), Dan tells that story at the very end of the show!  Definitely goose bumps kind of thing, you know?  (Oh, I guess you'll have to watch the episode for yourself to hear his "one more thing" story. Like on "The Five," which Dan guest hosted last week.)

As good as that was to fire me up, the first segment also had my attention, too.  I had no idea that Dan thinks about things like the "cashless society" thing.  Sounds like a conspiracy theory to many people out there, but it isn't.  It is something that I've mentioned to friends, decades ago, that would look at me and say, "Huh? You don't really believe in that BS conspiracy stuff, do you?"  And I would reply that I do, and explain to them how it would happen.  Like cooking a frog.  I have that line down pat.  Little did the skeptics know that we'd eventually have the internet, and that everyone would eventually be able to access it, even on their phone!  What should have helped people understand what I was talking about was when I wrote a series, long ago, and was able to post it to another blog that I manage.  I guess I wrote it originally in 2006.  I don't think I was too far off, to call that series, "Setting the Stage."  Everything happens very incrementally.  For those of you that like to read, you may want to check that out.

I wasn't expecting to write another post tonight, so I'll end it this way, with my own, "One More Thing." I don't know if Dan Bongino will ever know of my writing about his show.  That's okay, really, but in a way, I wish he would know.  I would love for him to know how much he has touched my life over the last 5 months.  My heroes in life have become people that take our First Amendment rights very seriously, that love this country, that try to inform us with accurate information and well thought out commentary.  My list of those people that I really respect and admire is way too long to list here, though my Dad would truly be one of the patriots I most admire.  They are always in my prayers, every last one of them.  They keep me going, and I'm sure, have a lot to do with keeping America going.  God bless them, and God bless America!

The Culture War- An Interview with Michael Knowles ~ Ep. 1286 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode on youtube.com/Bongino or in his Show Notes:
In this episode, I interview Michael Knowles, host of the wildly popular podcast “The Michael Knowles Show.”
Like me, if you aren't already, you will be a huge Michael Knowles fan after you see this interview with Dan Bongino.  In the past five months that I've been following Dan's show, it has been both continuing education and verification of my beliefs.  Kind of like the other great ones, like Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levine, Simon Conway, Joe "JoePags" Pagliarulo, and President Donald Trump, who are all obviously great... because they all think like me.  Good thing for all of them, God didn't give me their great speaking abilities.  Only the intellect that I need to put a couple sentences together.  You know what I'm saying.  God's gifts to us are only on loan, anyway, and I will happily accept His gifts to me.   My Salvation is the one that means the most, but I happily make use of any opportunity that I have to write.

Okay, I know you all love it when I come up with a major take-away from the Dan Bongino Show episodes and interviews.  I've got one for you today that will either make you nod your head in agreement, or make you wonder how long I'll last in the blogging world... or social media.  On the internet?  Since the very late 1980's, I was on things like AOL (LOL!) and CompuServe.  And then on January 1, 2000, I started my website, www.johnny2k.com (which has been in renovation mode since early this year).   Intimidation?  I've handled it.  Multiple scammers, spammers, critics, leftist losers and trolls, attacking me at every turn.  I not only never let that intimidation get to me, I fought back.  Especially against the scammers and spammers, who I turned in to Federal authorities such as the FBI and USPS Postal Inspectors.  When I needed to, I switched to different social media venues.

Dan and Michael pointed out how a lot of the things going on, like with destroying statues and monuments, or kneeling for the U. S. flag during the National Anthem, is a power play.  It is meant to intimidate us, and divide us.  But I really think that the intimidation strategy is the biggest part of the power play.  Why?  Because when they divide us, it is so much easier to conquer us when they intimidate us, while we are divided.

Keep that in mind as we grow closer to the election in November.  The Demonicrats will use many of the strategies from their playbook, and that big one is divide, intimidate, and conquer.  They tried to use the polls in 2016, and it didn't work, it didn't intimidate us, we went ahead and voted for Donald Trump, anyway.  Apparently, though it didn't work before, they're trying the same thing again.  Let's fool them again.  That sounds like loads of fun!

VIDEO: "Hey Sochi" ~ By Joe Pags

I just happened to stumble upon this video on The Weekend, the Facebook page for Joe Pags' Saturday radio gig. (Joe Pags is short for Joe Pagliarulo.) This video struck a chord with me - no pun intended - because it's about as close as I'll get to paying any attention to this year's Olympics in Sochi, other than hearing about Bob Costas' pink eye.  Really, I could care less about the Olympics.

The Olympics is really the LAST thing any of us should worry about. No, nothing to worry about, but a lot to think about. Vladimir Putin spent $50 billion to put on a good show, and yet only got 4 out of 5 rings and the only "gold" for the big event so far in Sochi is the water for the journalists.  Thus, the good reason to share Joe Pags' video, which is done very well, by the way! My ode to the Olympics. Just sayin'...

WIFLI Briefing for May 20, 2012 - Going Public!

Yes, Friday's big news in the mainstream media is Facebook's initial public offering (IPO). Yes, it's finally happening, Facebook has gone public. However, that isn't what I needed to direct your attention to today. I'm not going to promote gambling here!  No, uh-uh!

In fact, I'm going to place a warning sign along the way like the ones that warn drivers of an upcoming construction site, traffic lanes will be reduced, and that caution and a much slower speed need to be adhered to. With this IPO, the last thing you want to do is get stuck in a bubble that could burst long before you have a chance to dump your stock in Facebook. Here's a video that makes my point:

Video provided by WSJDigitalNetwork on May 3, 2012

That is why I'm doing something so weird today. This might just shock you to see me posting a blog so soon after the last post. That is almost as rare as seeing the Chicago Cubs win more than two games in a row!

There were at least two other stories that caught my attention Friday. They both had to do with "going public." I had to take advantage of the situation, just so I could sneak in these stories on a Sunday, when nobody is watching. They call that, "UNDER the RADAR," I think.

Well, there you go. What else do we do with stories that deal with President George W. Bush's rare public commentary and the issue of "Obama's eligibility" appearing on Breitbart.com?

That's a good question, and I think I can give you the correct answer: Read the stories carefully, and don't be afraid to ask some questions. I don't know about you, but it is getting where what you read on the internet needs thorough investigation before accepting it 100% - i.e., lock, stock and barrel.

It doesn't matter if what you read in the mainstream media, or anywhere else, is 75% true or a total lie. Any kind of omission of facts is no better than a total fabrication. When you are not provided with all of the pieces of a puzzle, you should be warned; you are probably being manipulated, just so that you don't see the big picture.

Being that the content in this WIFLI Briefing is relatively very limited, you should have plenty of time to soak in the information, seek verification, and formulate your opinions. But remember, it's probably not a good idea to be "Going Public" with your opinions or news stories until you have ALL of facts to back you up.

Don't even write off the "birther" issue; not just yet. You never know when a news source, even if it's Breitbart.com and not one of the "mainstream outlets," exposes a new twist in the story.

The moral of the story is that not everything that "goes public" should be accepted as the complete, truthful story. But, at the very least, try to fit in one more puzzle piece in order to get the big picture.

Update, May 25, 2012:
Facebook, banks sued over pre-IPO analyst calls...Reuters...published May 23, 2012

It kind of makes my point, doesn't it?

Welcome to this edition of Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing!

What is WIFLI?
You may be wondering what the acronym "WIFLI" means. I started out by calling these issues the Time 2 Escape Daily, but that didn't work out very well. I quickly learned that putting these issues together on a daily basis was a task I was unable to accomplish. To replace "Daily" in the title, I borrowed the acronym WIFLI, which literally means "When I Feel Like It." Putting together a post on this blog WIFLI works much better for my schedule, and for the higher quality of each issue that is eventually published!

I'm very impressed by the ideals that our former President endorsed in this column. But do I believe it is the reality that we face now? No, I don't. I am afraid that regardless of the tyrant, and the associated oppression of Arabs in those Middle East Muslim countries, the lack of freedom will still greet a large proportion of the population in those societies.

When the former President states that, "We only get to choose what side we are on," he was correct. However, are any of the alternative choices any better than what exists now? How are we going to determine which side to choose when neither side actually allows freedom?

George W. Bush: The Arab Spring and American Ideals
We do not get to choose if a freedom revolution should begin or end in the Middle East or elsewhere. We only get to choose what side we are on.
From The Wall Street Journal OPINION ~ By George W. Bush ~ Posted May 17, 2012, 6:56 p.m. ET

These are extraordinary times in the history of freedom. In the Arab Spring, we have seen the broadest challenge to authoritarian rule since the collapse of Soviet communism. The idea that Arab peoples are somehow content with oppression has been discredited forever.

Yet we have also seen instability, uncertainty and the revenge of brutal rulers. The collapse of an old order can unleash resentments and power struggles that a new order is not yet prepared to handle.

Some in both parties in Washington look at the risks inherent in democratic change—particularly in the Middle East and North Africa—and find the dangers too great. America, they argue, should be content with supporting the flawed leaders they know in the name of stability.

But in the long run, this foreign policy approach is not realistic. It is not within the power of America to indefinitely preserve the old order, which is inherently unstable. Oppressive governments distrust the diffusion of choice and power, choking off the best source of national prosperity and success.

This is the inbuilt crisis of tyranny. It fears and fights the very human attributes that make a nation great: creativity, enterprise and responsibility. Dictators can maintain power for a time by feeding resentments toward enemies—internal or external, real or imagined. But eventually, in societies of scarcity and mediocrity, their failure becomes evident.

A valid complaint has been made in the last few years by the Conservative side of politics is that Barack Hussein Obama was not properly vetted by those in the mainstream media prior to the 2008 election. While there were a few out there like Joseph Farah and Jerome Corsi at WND.com that brought up the birth certificate and Constitutional eligibility, many of the most Conservative talk-radio show hosts, and Fox News Channel, wouldn't touch it.

Following a story put out on Breitbart.com which you can see below, additional commentary and thought became part of some of the most popular radio shows. Both Glenn Beck and Joe Pagliarulo (on The Weekend), dedicated a major portion of their shows to discuss the Breitbart.com story.

Here is the story about the story: What Breitbart.com went public with is enough to make a lot of people become a little more curious about this situation. I know for a fact that when I posted stories in the past that i found on WorldNetDaily, now known as WND.com, the story got a lot of heat from the critics in the mainstream media as well as from the Conservative pundits.

At some point, the historians will be forced to deal with these events that may someday be known as "Birthergate." And I hope the historians will still be able to view and share the video you will see below:

There are a lot of questions concerning President Barack Obama, and this is not the time to quit asking those questions. I'm just sayin'...

The Vetting - Exclusive - Obama's Literary Agent in 1991 Booklet: 'Born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii'
From Breitbart.com ~ By Joel B. Pollak ~ Published May 18, 2012

Note from Senior Management [at Breitbart.com]:

ANDREW BREITBART
Andrew Breitbart was never a "Birther," and Breitbart News is a site that has never advocated the narrative of "Birtherism." In fact, Andrew believed, as we do, that President Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on August 4, 1961.

Yet Andrew also believed that the complicit mainstream media had refused to examine President Obama's ideological past, or the carefully crafted persona he and his advisers had constructed for him.

It is for that reason that we launched "The Vetting," an ongoing series in which we explore the ideological background of President Obama (and other presidential candidates)--not to re-litigate 2008, but because ideas and actions have consequences.

It is also in that spirit that we discovered, and now present, the booklet described below--one that includes a marketing pitch for a forthcoming book by a then-young, otherwise unknown former president of the Harvard Law Review.

It is evidence--not of the President's foreign origin, but that Barack Obama's public persona has perhaps been presented differently at different times.

***

Breitbart News has obtained a promotional booklet produced in 1991 by Barack Obama's then-literary agency, Acton & Dystel, which touts Obama as "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."
